Abstract

Since 2010, landslides incident always occured in Banjarnegara District and the frequency of that incident has rapidly increase over the years. Finally at the end of 2014, one of the biggest landslide disaster ever in Indonesia happened in this region. This incident was demolished one sub-village and approximately killed 122 people. Based on those explanation, there should be a study to provide an overview and information on the phenomenon of landslides, the causative factors and which areas have the opportunity to occurs the landslides, especially the chances of landslides in residential areas in the future. In achieving these goals,  this study used a mathematical model of logistic regression analysis and application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that based on the data of variables cause landslides such as type of soil, the geological structure, topography, land use, precipitation, road and drainage networks. Results of the analysis that has been conducted shows that the District Karangkobar has five levels of the chances of landslides ie, 0-4%, from 4 to 12.7%, from 12.7 to 22%, from 22 to 32.5%, and 32, 5-50%, whereas this percentage is obtained based on predictive models of dua variables that have a significant influence on the occurrence of landslides these are road networks and drainage networks variable. In addition, it is known also that the settlement area that has the largest land area ratio against the highest odds landslides (32.5 to 50%) is a settlement area in the village Jlegong with a land area of 3.33 hectares, or approximately 43% of the total area settlement region.

Abstract

Community-based adaptation (CBA) is a new approach that is attractive because it is a process of planning led by the community, based on community priorities, needs, knowledge and capacity - a process that should empower people to plan for climate change impacts (Hordijk and baud, 2010). Governance at the community level regarded to be a way to help them in adapting and maintain their livelihood on the coastal so that they can remain in the region. Governance in community engaged individual communities to group and jointly manages their livelihoods and conservation in their coastal areas. The intervention of the government and non-government organizations also play a role in the process of adaptation that occurs. This paper aim to elaborate the role of local champion in CBA process. Interesting findings from Tapak Village, Semarang who have done their community-based adaptation process is that the involvement of the community in the adaptation to climate change is greatly influenced by the presence of local champion in the region. The existence of networks between community and the relevant stakeholders in both the government and non-government organizations also became one of the supporting factors for the sustainability of community-based adaptation processes in coastal areas of Semarang City.

The research methodology used in this study is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis with nonparametric statistical methods using statistical test of Wilcoxon different test as well as the influence of the Pearson correlation test using SPSS version 20. The conclusion is the average percentage of target accuracy analysis is based on the condition of households amounted to 31.50%, while the results of the analysis target accuracy of the condition of the house building is at 68.75 %. As a result of the implementation of the program is able to improve the physical condition by 55%, improving social conditions by 45%, but the economic outlook has decreased by 10%, due to a decrease in variable levels of spending, which is caused by the number of respondents who went into debt in the implementation of development / repair their house. Abstract

Although it is a new city, the economic growth of Batu City quite rapidly, especially in the tourism sector. The variety of tourism potential bring tourism sector of Batu City become competitive in provincial even national level. However, along the friction of tour base, there are indication relate of tourist saturation in Batu City. It was shown from decrease in number of tourists in the year 2009-2012 with an average of 13% annually. In addition, the rapid development of tourism in Batu City suspected caused some negative impact on the environment. Therefore, efforts to build the tourism sector in Batu City forward has been duly implementing the concept of sustainable tourism, which one of them is by diversification of tourism products. Diversification of tourism products divided into two, namely destinations and attractions. To diversify destinations Batu City is directed to build the tourist market in corridor Diponegoro and Gajah Mada street around Alun-alun Batu City. Meanwhile, the diversification of tourism products for the natural attractions is directed into the development of alternative tourism with travel packages. In artificial attractions, besides the addition of themed rides, managers can diversify tourist attraction by adding a cultural event such as dances at certain hours. Besides that, diversification of tourism products can be done with the addition and improvement of tourism facilities as well as increased accessibility. It can be directed by a central parking and tour transportation as well as the construction of new access by railway from Abdurrahman Saleh Airport to Batu City passing through Malang City.

Abstract

Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) experience the dynamics of changes in land use so that the decline in the forest area of the country. The government set the FMU Forest Management Unit as part of efforts to protect the forests remain sustainable so we need a study that could support optimal implementation of the Management Plan Forest Management Unit (FMU RP). One method to support the optimization is to do a land change prediction models. The purpose of this study include: (1) analyze the land use change from 1990 to 2013 period and (2) predicting the year 2023. Changes in land use land studied is 1990 and 2013, which would then be used as a base projection in 2013-2023. Methods to be used are: 1) Analysis of input output, 2) the integration of Markov chain Celullar automata (CA-MC) with logistic regression. The prediction model will use two scenarios, namely: 1) the existing condition of the existing and 2) the assumption of government intervention with the basic rules. The results showed in the period of 1990-2013 there is a change of land use is of 23%, or around 3,703 ha. From the results predicted changes in land use in 2023, with scenario 1 change-forest land dry land agriculture as an area of 1,337 ha and a change of scenario 2 of forest land area of 1264.36 ha.

Abstract

Pahlawan streets and Pemuda streets has recently experienced significant improvements in improving the quality of public space in particular pedestrian ways. Significant improvements were addressed by the government of Semarang that all segments of society could use it more comfortable and safe, but  in  reality  both pedestrian  ways in  the  two corridors  is  still  rarely  seen  used by  people  with disabilities. Referring to the problems it is the thought that research is needed to evaluate the use of pedestrian ways on Pahlawan streets and Pemuda streets for people with disabilities. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of pedestrian ways for people with disabilities as well as obtain the factors that cause minimal numbers people with disabilities who access the pedestrian ways. Research targets are to be achieved by identifying the feasibility s tudy of literature and the public perception of disability. The research method uses deductive research methods with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. This technique is done by commenting on  the feasibility of the elements contained in the pedestrian ways based on the literature and the public perception of disability. Based on a literature review that refers to problems in the field of research obtained variables which are divided into two focus the observation were variables pedestrian ways and variables public perception disabilities. For  people  with disabilities who selected were the physically disabled, visually impaired, hearing impaiired and ederly with perception measurement include comfort, convenience, safety, achievement, usability, sensitivity and independence. Based on the results of the analysis it is known that both the pedestrian ways on Pahlawan streets and Pemuda streets can not be said to be feasible for handicapped due to the lack of quality of both the pedestrian ways. It is also known that there are external and internal factors that dominate cause the minimum  number  of  people  with  disabilities  ranging  from  pedestrian  ways  conditions,  their  own motivation or desire, age and availability of transportation. Under these conditions, the improvements in both the pedestrian ways is necessary to improve the quality of its use for people with disabilities.
