Abstract

Japan has four distinct seasons each year, called Haru (spring), Natsu (summer), Aki (fall), and Fuyu (winter). Each season has a different natural state, has a different color, and a different atmosphere. For example, in autumn (aki), many leaves turn yellow or red, so this is a characteristic of autumn. This distinctive characteristic is embodied in a song entitled "Momiji". This study aims to analyze the meaning of the Momiji song lyrics and the hermeneutic reading of the Momiji song lyrics. Momiji song lyric data is taken from http://www.worldfolksong.com. This study uses an interpretive qualitative method. This research concludes that the cultural meaning that appears in these lyrics can be seen in the words "Susumoyou and Nishiki". Susumoyou is a pattern found on a kimono that has a plain top, so the pattern is seen as beautiful. Nishiki is silk fabrics that are woven beautifully using colorful threads.

Abstract

This research is based on efforts to improve writing skills in Japanese. Writing activities are an important aspect of learning a language. This study used samples from beginner-level Japanese learners, namely apprentices at LPK JLMC Lembang, West Java. The research design used in this study is true experimental, using the experimental class and the control class in research activities as a comparison of whether or not the effectiveness of the padlet media in learning to write Japanese. The writing activity referred to in this research is writing danraku (paragraphs) in the form of short essays using padlet as a media for doing exercises. The first step in this study was to carry out a pre-test on the control class and the experimental class. Furthermore, the treatment with padlet media was carried out five times in the experimental class. The final step is to provide post-test to the experimental class and control class, as well as to distribute a special questionnaire for the experimental class. The results showed that the use of padlet media was quite effective in learning to write Japanese. This is based on the N-Gain test which shows the figure of 58%. Furthermore, based on the results of the questionnaire, it was found that an attractive padlet display could increase learner motivation in writing activities. In addition, the use of letters, vocabulary and sentence patterns can be improved.

The results achieved in this study will be presented in the form of a description. The results of this study indicate that the dominant strategy used by buyers to cast protests is to adopt a bald on record strategy. This strategy was chosen because protest is a form of dissatisfaction made because buyers feel they do not receive Omotenashi from the restaurant. In order to express dissatisfaction, the buyer is forced to threaten the shop assistant's face as an interlocutor. However, it should be noted that in certain contexts, Enryo is still a consideration for buyers in protesting, even though the potential is very small or not dominant.
