Early Childhood Research Journal (ECRJ) is a scientific journal of early childhood education program of Teaching and Education Faculty of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta focusing on publication of scientific research result conducted by UMS's internal and external academicians, especially in early childhood education. Early childhood research journal (ECRJ) publishes scientific articles in the field of pure and applied science about early childhood education including innovative and creative learning and teaching on early childhood education, detection of growth and development for early childhood, early childhood studies about nutrition and health. The article based on research article, a critical, and comprehensive scientific study of the important and current issues covered by the journal Early childhood research journal (ECRJ).

Abstract

This is descriptive research to find out school readiness in terms of N.S.T (Nijmeegse Schoolbekwaamheids Test) test results. Research uses quantitative approach. Subject of the research is students of early childhood education Al Husna Kindergarten B level in Pengging Boyolali which will enter elementary school. Number of research subject is 32 students. Measuring instrument used on the research is N.S.T (Nijmeegse Schoolbekwaamheids Test) and also observation. Analysis of data will be done quantitatively with simple statistic technique. Result of the research shows that from 32 students, 50% stated has readiness as much 16 students, 40,6% is quite ready as much 13 students meanwhile not ready is 9,4% as much 3 students.The most prominent aspect in its level of maturity is aspect of form observations and the ability to distinguish which is 84,4% for 27 students. The least aspect on the task of understanding the story is 25% for 8 students. Qualitatively, school readiness aspect from cognitive aspect is observation and the ability to distinguish, notions of big, number and comparison, concentrate and memory already reaches a fairly optimal level of maturity. Meanwhile related aspect with understanding stories and pictures of people skill the level of preparedness is not yet optimal.

Abstract

Suitable education in current development is surely required for every children in order to adapt with changes that occur, this certainly need to be addressed by looking for proper solution used in early childhood learning process, because early childhood education can give great benefit in growth and development for children, it also brings great positive impact for cognitive development, physical, emotional and social in children. Early childhood education is being talked about by applying new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.) method. This method focuses on collaboration, communication, research, problem solving, and critical thinking ability. Through this approach, children are expected, not only academically intelligent but also socially, it also can stimulate children development optimally.     Research aims to find out the extent of implementation STEAM Method for early childhood developing. Method used in the research is qualitative descriptive with classroom teacher, Headmaster, and children in Mutiara Paradise Kindergarten as data source. Techniques of data collection are interview, observation and documentation. Technique of analysis and data collection are reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. The result of the research shows the implementation of STEAM Method is very useful for children development, not only the children able to think critically in solving problem, but also children encounter very good social development.

Abstract

The theory of early childhood education aims to expose and research the complexities of child education. The goal of the study was to define the philosophy of the Language Development Program based on the 2013 Early Childhood Education Curriculum. Data collection techniques in this study used direct observation and recording methods in the Lesson Plan in Language development program based on 2013 ECE curriculum, based on predetermined categories. Data sources in this study were all information written in the children's language development program which was prepared in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. The data will be analyzed by Qualitative content analysis. The finding led to the discovery of the philosophical foundation of children language development program which are dominated by Progresivism.

Abstract

abstract :Speech ability is a person's ability to express, convey, express and say something that is in someone's thoughts and feelings. The ability to speak has an important role in the success of socializing someone, because through speaking skills one can communicate and interact with people around him. This study aims to minimize speech delays in early childhood by optimizing learning in early childhood by stimulating children through learning media and adding literature to improve speaking skills in early childhood.

Abstract

Abstract : Cooperation is one form of an aspect of social emotional development that needs to be developed in early childhood to be able to have a collaborative attitude, interact with other people and have an attitude of responsibility for their work. Learning methods that can be used in an effort to improve the ability of child cooperation, namely by group work methods. In this study, group work was applied based on playing art and craft activities. The purpose of writing this article is to add an alternative method of learning to improve collaboration skills in early childhood.

Abstract

Review Literature: Play Montage  To Improve The Intelligence Of The Early Children's Language. Playing montage is an early childhood activity that produces a work consisting of several pieces of picture forming a unity of images in one field. The author aims to review the literature review, articles, and research documents that refer to the activity of montage early childhood and language intelligence stimulation in early childhood. This research method is searching scientific articles from the database using the word montage and children's language development in the last 5 years and the last 7 years, the search results obtained 20 articles consisting of 15 national journals for the past 5 years and 5 international journals for a period of time Last 7 years. In the results and discussion that the literature review shows montage activity can find ideas to apply various kinds of images to formwork, children's language skills can be stimulated through the method of telling stories using images in accordance with the imagination of each child. The results show that montage journals that have a positive influence have a percentage of 30% and children's language intelligence journals that have a positive effect have a percentage of 65%. This literature review can be concluded that playing montage is one way to improve a child's new vocabulary by means of a cut of a child's image producing a montage work and the child is able to tell work, this helps the child in stimulating language intelligence in early childhood.Keywords: Play montage, Children's intelligence, children's language
