Abstract

Konawe Regency is one of the regencies in Southeast Sulawesi Province that has a high number of confirmed Covid-19 cases. The Covid-19 vulnerability mapping is carried out to facilitate decision making and formulate effective policies to minimize the spread and transmission of the disease. This study aims to examine the parameters that affect the spread and transmission of Covid-19 and the level of susceptibility to Covid-19. The method used is a Chi Square-based Geographic Information System (GIS). The parameters used include Population, Population Density, Elderly Age, Distance from Activity Centers, Distance from Road and Distance from Covid-19 Referral Hospital. The results showed that the population, old age and distance from the Covid-19 referral hospital had an effect on the spread and transmission of Covid-19 with a significance value of 0.000. The most vulnerable areas are in Wawotobi sub-district and Unaaha sub-district with an area of 127.68 km2 (5.38%). Areas with a medium level of vulnerability are 1606.57 km2 (67.74%) and low are 637.40 km2 (26.88%). There needs to be an increase in awareness of the use of masks, washing hands, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds because these activities can increase the chance of spreading and transmitting Covid-19.

Abstract

With the study of geosphere phenomena that occur in coastal areas, it is very sad if learning is only carried out in class without bringing students to see and experience natural and social events directly in the real world. The objectives of this study were 1) to determine students' cognitive learning outcomes after carrying out outdoor learning in the Tobolo Beach Tourism object area and 2) to determine students' perceptions of using Tobololo Beach tourism objects as learning media. This study uses a combination of mixed methods design research with quantitative research methods as the primary method. The research subject is the biogeophysical environment and students. The data collection techniques used are, Observation Sheets, Interviews, Tests, and Questionnaires. Data analysis is using descriptive percentage. The research results obtained are; learning outcomes before carrying out nature-based outdoor learning are 93% categorized as incomplete. After the implementation of outdoor learning in the coastal tourist area of Tobololo, the learning outcomes have increased, namely 100% with the complete category. The perceptions conveyed by students are also different before and after outdoor learning. The results of the analysis obtained that students' perceptions were categorized as good 17% and very good 83%. This nature-based outdoor learning is an alternative that can be used by teachers in improving learning outcomes. The results of student perceptions obtained in outdoor learning provide students with a happy atmosphere, motivate students, relax as well as being able to do recreation.

Abstract

The difference in air temperature between the city center and the suburbs is known as the effect of the UHI (Urban Heat Island) phenomenon. In Indonesia, this phenomenon of uneven excess heat is better known as the hot pole of the city. UHI is analogized as an island, which has a surface temperature of hot air that is centered in the area (Urban) and will decrease in temperature in the area (Sub Urban) or the area (Rural) around it. The effect of UHI has become the world's spotlight that must be addressed immediately, because more and more cities are experiencing the effects of this phenomenon, if it continues, it will lead to a higher rate of increase in global warming. Indirectly, Mataram City has experienced the UHI phenomenon which is marked by an increase in air temperature along with an increase in the number of vehicles, a lack of green open space and an increasing number of land conversions into built-up land as housing/settlement areas and city service activities. The purpose of this article is to find out the spatial pattern of surface temperature in Mataram City from 2000 to 2020. The method used is a remote sensing system, by utilizing Landsat 8 Satellite Imagery data. In addition, a simple linear regression analysis method is used to knowing how much influence the independent variable (X) has on the dependent variable (Y). The variables used are the value of vegetation density, number of vehicles and land emissivity as a variable (X) and the value of the spatial pattern of surface temperature as a variable (Y). These three independent variables are what distinguishes this article from previous articles. Therefore, the author tries to redevelop and analyze the UHI phenomenon that is currently happening in the city of Mataram. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the surface temperature value in Mataram City from 2000 to 2020 had a varying temperature trend value, where in 2000 the maximum temperature value reached 28.3oC and in 2020 the trend of the maximum temperature value increased to 35.1oC. Meanwhile, if we look at the distribution of the spatial pattern of surface temperatures in the city of Mataram, it also continues to experience formation and increase, which begins to be concentrated in the middle of the city's activities and begins to spread to the periphery of the city's activity center. The value of the greatest influence resulting from statistical tests shows that the value of vegetation density gives an effect of 56% and is followed by the number of vehicles by 53%, while the smallest influence value is found in the emissivity factor of land with an influence value of 49%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the distribution pattern and characteristics of the springs in each morphological unit on the eastern slopes of Mount Marapi, West Sumatera Province. The approach in this research in descriptive quantitative with data collection through survey methods. The population in this research is all the springs in the area study with data collection carried out by systematic sampling based on altitude. Spatial analysis was carried out to analyze the pattern and characteristics of the springs and the chi square (x2) test to see differences in the distribution of spring in various geomorphological unit volcanic formations. The results of the analysis show that the pattern of springs in the study area does not form a spring belt perfectly with the most springs appearing around the break of slope, which is around the displacement area between the morphology of the volcanic slope and the morphology of the volcanic foot. Based on the amount of discharge, there is no significant difference in the distribution of springs in various morphological units with a correlation coefficient of 0.425 at the 95% confidence level. Keywords : spring; springs belt; volcanic formation
