Abstract

This research is based on the weak role of government in reducing the risk of flood disaster in Sungai Penuh Town appropriately, thus efforts are needed to avoid and decrease this situation, in other word mitigation of flood disaster is needed. The purpose of this study are analyzed the characteristics of area based catastrophic flooding, flood hazard, and flood risk and formulate mitigation policy and direction of flood disaster. The type of research is combined or mixed method. This study using quantitative Method used in determining volcano hazard, the level of vulnerability of the community, volcano risk and the use of qualitative Method used in determining the direction and mitigation policies towards mitigation of flood disaster. Findings research shows two characteristics area are good area that didn’t hazard of flood covering 4872 ha and bad area that cause the flood covering 30403 ha, with three levels of flood hazard are high flood hazard covering 3145 ha, medium flood hazard covering 1726 ha, and low flood hazard covering 30403 ha and three levels of flood risk are flood risk high covering 4872 ha, flood risk medium covering 6395 ha, and flood risk low covering 24008 ha. The high flood harmful for environment and agriculture, due this situation, this research is needed mitigation policy of flood disaster which set up zoning on any flood hazard zone, normalization downstream/ estuaries of river, doing and improving the coordination of government in the cross-sectoral of town and regency, developing the early warning system, and socialitation and provide training/ non-agricultural skills to the society.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze socio-economic growth rate of coastal society in Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Indonesia. The research was conducted through a secondary analysis, followed by focus group discussion (FGD), and processed using analytical techniques hierarchical process (AHP) with relevant government informants and community (stakeholders). Based on the results, the policy priorities are taken into consideration in the decision-making with respect to the vulnerability socioeconomic of coastal society in Belitung Regency. The five alternatives policy priorities are: (1) involving the coastal society in the tourism sector, (2) making ecotourism based trade center, (3) optimizing the use of the land seashores into economy sectors, (4) establishing informal institutions related to coastal society, and (5) establishing the formal institutions related to coastal area.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the potential of fertile-aged couple’s households and develop strategies to improve the quality of fertile-aged couple’s households in the Family Planning Village of Bukit Malintang. This study combines quantitative and qualitative approaches, with a population of all fertile age couples in the Family Planning Village of Bukit Malintang (90 fertile-aged couple) and all of them are sampled. The results showed that the quality of human resources (HR) of FAC families was relatively low, which was indicated by the relatively low education, health, expertise, and skills of family members. Likewise, with agricultural land ownership, that not all FACs have agricultural land and, also with low land productivity. Ownership of securities, especially land certificates, is used as collateral, mainly used for consumption and not for production. As an effort to improve the welfare of the community (fertile-aged couple’s), several alternatives were proposed, and discussed in a group discussion forum (FGD) with the relevant agencies/institutions of the West Pasaman Regency Government, namely 1). Socialization about genre and family planning 2). Skills training for youth and community members 3). Training/application on agriculture, plantation, fishery, and animal husbandry. 4). Increased yard usage 5). Establishment of Jorong Malintang as a tourist village

Abstract

This study aims to determine the local wisdom values for managing the conservation forest area in mountain Kaba Selupu Rejang Sub-District. This research is classified as a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The selection of informants is based on snowball throwing techniques. Informants in this study consisted of village heads, traditional leaders, and supporting community members. Data collection is done through observation, documentation, and interviews with several speakers. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT). The results showed that the local wisdom of the community could improve the management of the mountain Kaba conservation area, which was divided into strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the values ​​of that local wisdom.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out the spread of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the city of Palembang and then to create a policy direction for the prevention of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the city of Palembang. This study was undertaken in all areas of Palembang City. This sudy was descriptive with a quantitative approach. The sample of this study was dengue hemorrhagic fever patients who were found in each health center and community registered at the Palembang City Health Office using purposive sampling technique. Data collection consisted of observation data, the health office, interviews, documentation. Data analysis techniques used consisting geographic information system analysis and Analytical Hierarchy Process. The results indicated that the distribution of dengue hemorrhagic fever was of three levels, namely, high, medium, and low spread in 18 sub-districts in the city of Palembang. Furthermore, the policy directions given were: suppressing the rate of population growth, socializing about dengue hemorrhagic fever, improving drainage channels, eradicating mosquito nests, routine larvae inspection. on providing policy directions for dengue outbreaks starting from a basic understanding of the habitat structure of the aedes aegypti mosquito which will provide information related to the influence of the mosquito landscape in knowing the zoning of vulnerability to dengue outbreak transmission

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know how the community of Koto Parik Gadang Diateh District in Solok Selatan adapted to the flood disaster risk. It was a descriptive qualitative research using purposive sampling technique to select the sample and interview and documentation to collect the data. The obtained data was then analized descriptively to present the facts found in the field. Types of community adaptation in the district were 1) Community passive and active adaptation to the flood disaster risk covered the activities of increasing income, elevating household appliances and equipment, and priotizing basic needs. 2) Community social adaptation to the flood disaster risk included well established kinship and sociological systems when the disaster hit and mutual cooperation to cope with the disaster. 3) Community economic adaptation to the flood disaster risk Included the community activities in fulfilling their clothing, food, and housing needs and donation from social organization such as the district officials, BPBD of Slok Selatan Regency (a regional disaster management agency), MRI (Indonesian Volunteer Community), ACT (Aksi Cepat Tanggap) and others. (4) Community cultural adaptation to the flood disaster risk. It related to the community customs, such as tahlilan and istighosa when they were having the misfortune and it also included constructing Floodway to reduce the flood risk. These 4 community adaptations interracted with each other and they were very important in facing flood risks. Keywords: Adaptation, Risk, Flood Disaster

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang : :(1) Karakteristik pelaku mobillitas kepala keluarga laki-laki, (2) Karakteristik pelaku mobillitas kepala keluarga perempuan, (3) Karakteristik pelaku mobillitas istri, (4) Karakteristik pelaku mobillitas anak.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Sungai Piring Kecamatan Batang Tuaka Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau. Penetapan sampel adalah masyarakat yang ada di Kelurahan Sungai Piring dengan menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 82 Kepala Keluarga. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan cara pengisian angket oleh responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan menggunakan persentase, tabulasi menggunakan spss. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan: (1) Karakteristik pelaku mobilitas kepala keluarga laki-laki berumur 19-60 tahun, jenis pekerjaan dominan adalah petani, tingkat pendidikan umumnya tamat SD. Alasan melakukan mobilitas karena pekerjaan, tujuan mobilitas adalah ladang. Jenis mobilitas adalah mobilitas harian dan mingguan, dengan durasi 5-10 jam, menggunakan sepeda, sepeda motor, jalan kaki, mobil dan kapal, (2) Karakteristik pelaku mobilitas kepala keluarga perempuan berumur 41-50 tahun, pekerjaan paling dominan adalah IRT,tingkat pendidikan umumnya tamat SD. Alasan melakukan mobilitas untuk membeli kebutuhan sehari-hari, tujuan mobilitas pasar. Jenis mobilitas adalah mobilitas harian dan mingguan, dengan durasi 2-8 jam, menggunakan sepeda, sepeda motor dan jalan kaki, (3) Karakteristik pelaku mobilitas istri berumur 20-60 tahun, pekerjaan paling dominan adalah IRT, tingkat pendidikan umumnya tamat SD. Alasan melakukan mobilitas untuk membeli kebutuhan sehari-hari, tujuan mobilitas adalah pasar. Jenis mobilitas adalah mobilitas mingguan, dengan durasi 2-9 jam, menggunakan sepeda, sepeda motor dan jalan kaki, (4) Karakteristik pelaku mobilitas anak berumur 7-40 tahun, pekerjaan paling dominan pelajar, dengan tingkat pendidikan umumnya masih SD dan SMP. Alasan melakukan mobilitas karena pendidikan, dimana tujuan mobilitas adalah sekolah. Jenis mobilitas adalah mobilitas harian, dengan durasi 4-10 jam, menggunakan sepeda, sepeda motor dan jalan kaki.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana industri kreatif dan dimana saja letak industri kreatif yang ada di Dusun Bompon dan Dusun Ngemplak.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif.Untuk mengetahui bagaimana Industi kreatif di Dusun Bompon dan Dusun Ngemplak dilakukan berdasarkan hasil observasi lapangan, kuesioner, dan wawancara masyarakat Sedangkan untuk mengetahui letak industri kreatif tersebutdilakukan dengan mengolah letak astronomis, yaitu posis garis bujur dan lintang yang telah dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan GPS Enssensial.Berdasarakna hasil observasi, di Dusun Bompon dan Dusun Ngemplak terdapat 2 sub sektor industri kreatif,yaitu kerajinan ikan pindang dan desain grafis.Kerajinan ikan pindang merupakan salah satu kerajinan bambu sedangkan desain grafis adalah satu media untuk menyampaikan informasi melalui bahasa komunikasi visual dalam wujud dwimatra dan trimatra yang melibatkan kaidah-kaidah estetik. Industri kreatif yang ada pada kedua dusun tersebut masih dalam kategori industri rumah tangga. Sedangkan letak atau lokasi industri kreatif di Dusun Bompon dan Dusun Ngemplak berdasarkan pola sebaran industri memiliki pola persebaran acak dan berdasarkan pola persebaran dan permukiman desa memiliki pola memanjang jalan dan sungai.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Belakangan ini permasalahan lingkungan menjadi isu strategis yang hangat dibicarakan berbagai pihak dan berbagai kalangan. Persoalan-persoalan lingkungan yang timbul sekarang ini tentu tidak lepas dari cara pandang, pemahaman, sikap dan perilaku manusia terhadap alam. Oleh sebab itu mengobati persoalan tersebut harus dari akar permasalahannya, yaitu manusia itu sendiri. Bertitik tolak dari pemikiran di atas, sekolah merupakan satu unit lingkungan yang unik yang dapat dijadikan sebagai model pembentukann keperibadian yang didasari oleh pembentukan pemahaman dan perlakuan attau tindakan. Sekolah sebagai satu unit lingkungan merupakan tempat belajar, mendidik sekaligus ruang praktek yang nyata dalam pembentukan pemahaman, sikap dan perilaku yang sadar terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the types, location and that management in Indigenous Forests Rantau Kermas. The method used in this study was a blend of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Quantitative research methods used are collecting data about the inventory of trees that can be used as a Tree Adoption and that location. Whereas qualitative research methods, explained and described the indigenous forest management and Tree Adoption in Indigenous Forest of Rantau Kermas. The determination of research informant was done by using Purposive Sampling. The data were collected through the documentation study, field surveys and interviews. The data analysis technique used was Overlay, Buffer, and Clip. The results of the study revealed that there were 743 trees could be used as Tree Adoptions and there were 124 as Tree Adoption. Based on researcher there were 372 eligible for Tree Adoptions candidate and 104 Tree Adoptions. Indigenous Forest Management and Tree Adoption in Indigenous Forest of Rantau Kermas still used the traditional system was included rules of Indigenous Forests Kara Jayo Tuo. The criteria taken in the management of Tree Adoptions are: a) the tree caregivers were the donors who concerned with environmental issues. b) the tree managers were the villagers of Rantau Kermas commanded by a Indigenous Forest Management Group. Indigenous forest management and Tree Adoption had ecological benefits, economic sides, and socials sides.
