Journal of Spirits is a scientific journal run by Faculty of Psychology Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. The Spirits journal aims to create a space for exchange of information on psychology. The Spirits journal aims to support the growth of new ideas and ideas about psychological knowledge in both contemporary psychology and selfbased psychology. Spirits journal is also expected to be a space for the development of Ki Hajar Dewantara ideas on psychology in Indonesia. Spirits Journal has a focus of study results with qualitative, quantitative and mix methods on the field of psychology.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this reseach is to know how far the resilence of juvenile orphan in facing social relation and life problem. Subject of this reseach is juvinile orphan  who live in orthanage and concist of two people.Reseach method that is used in this reseach is interview and observation. Analitical technic used in this reseach is data colecting, data reduction, data presentation, data trianggulation, and to conclude the existing data. Data analys result is there are four aspects that is found 25 variabel catagory resilience of juvinile orphan, includes of factors that influence the resilience, characteristic resilience, spesific resilience, domain, spesification of the individual resilience. There are 3 catagories and 16 sub catagories factors that influence the resilience. The second aspect is characteristic resilience, there are 7 catagories and 11 sub catagories. The third aspect is spesification resilience domain, there are 3 catagories and 8 sub catagories. The fourh aspect is spesification of the individual resilience , there are 12catagories and 23 sub catagories.  Key Word : The Juvenile, Resilience

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to know about life motivation of lupus sufferer when an individual face difficult periods and comes up from the cobdition which is full limitation after the doctor diagnoses lupus disease. Subject of the research is someone who is attacked by lupus. The range of age is from 25 until 35. This research will be held at subject’s house which is in Gombong sub distric, Kebumen district. The methods that are used are observation, interview and the use of triangulation technic to strengthen the result. The result of analyzing data is based on three aspect of motivation, it is concluded that having positive attitude, oriented on achievement of a goal, and streng that motivates an individual becomes one influence that supports life motivation for the subject. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to know the relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy of lansia (elderly) who still works in Banguntapan Bantul. The Hypotheses in this research is the relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy of lansia (elderly) who still works in Banguntapan Bantul.Subject of this research are working lansia (elderly) to men and women working lansia (elderly) with ages around 65 until 70 years old they are men and women that has total of 70. The the data was collected by using instrument used hardness and self-efficacay scale. The data was analysised using pearson product moment correlation with program SPSS Version 16 for Windows.The result of the analysis, showed that the correlation was between variable hardiness and self-efficacy 0,713 with P=0,00. This result and true the hypotheses was accepted meaning there is a relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy. It means that whenever the self-efficacay in lansia (elderly) are highest so the the hardiness are highest too. And the other way, if the self efficacy in lansia (elderly) are lowest so the hardiness are lowest too. Keywords : Hardiness, Self Efficacy, and Lansia (Elderly)

Abstract

ABSTRACT             The aims of this research are for knowing the relation between self-image and “selfies” attitude to students of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University in Faculty of Psychology and for knowing how big the self-image role towards “selfies” attitude.            The subjects of this research were 18-23 years old female of Psychology Faculty from academic year 2009 until 2014. The sampling taking technique is used by Purposive Sampling technique. The data analysis method used in this research was Product Moment Correlation.            The results from data analysis of self-image variable towards “selfies” attitude showed that the value r 0,322 with p = 0,001 (p < 0,05). Based on those results of correlations, it stated that were significant positive relations between self-image and “selfies” attitude to students of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University in Faculty of Psychology. It means that, the effectives impact of self-image towards “selfies” attitude were 10,4%. This was also showed that 89,6% “selfies” attitude determined by the others influencing factors. Keywords: Self-image, Attitude, Selfie

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and lifestyle trends hedonism student of Psychology, University of SarjanawiyataTamansiswaYogyakart. The hypothesis of this study is that there are ties between the negative self-concept and lifestyle of hedonism on a college student.The subjects were female students of UST Psychology Yogyakarta, 18-22 years old, female, amounting to 87 people. Measuring instrument used was a self-concept scale and the scale of the lifestyle of hedonism. Analysis of data using Product Moment correlation with SPSS statistics program version 17.0 for Windows.Based on the analysis Product Moment correlation coefficient between the variables of self-concept and lifestyle trends hedonism is -0.382 with a significance level of P = 0.000 (p <0.05). This shows that the hypothesis that there is a negative relationship between self-concept and lifestyle of hedonism in coed acceptable. This means that the lower the self-concept, the higher the tendency of hedonistic lifestyle, otherwise the higher the self-concept, the lower the tendency of hedonism lifestyle.Keywords: Adolescent Self-Concept, Lifestyle Trends Hedonism.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to determined stress management for renal failure patient at the role of family’s support. Furthemore, this research also aims to uncover more about problems that can be caused by renal failure. Subjects in this research is men and women who have renal failure. Subjects feel worry, fearfull and confused because worry about their future. This research using the techniques of data collection using inteviews and observation. The result of the role of family’s support at stress management for renal failure patient is patient make a choise to compose oneself with pray to God. In general, when renal failure patient heard that they diagnosed by doctor they feel stress, but subject’s family give participant and support any time. Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to find out to the correlation between social support with physically disabled in the Physically disabled rehabilitation center, to know the significant of social support function to autonomy of individual.The research was held in Physically disabled rehabilitation which subject were taken from 18 -35 years old of 120 people of physically disabled. To gain the data, the researcher used questionnaire method. The sample is taking with the purposive sample. Product moment Correlation analysis method was applied to analyze the data and it reached 5% of significance.The result of the data analysis showed that the social support  had a significance effect to the autonomy individual  with the value of r =0,399, (p>0,05), also give significant effect to it. Adjusted value (R2) of 0,159 means that 15,9% of variation of autonomy individual could be explained with the variation of social support. Meanwhile, 84,1% was caused by other factors. Keywords: social support and self-reliance
