The high prevalence of suicide rates in Gunung Kidul deserves a scholarly attention, especially through the indigenous perspective. The existence of Pulung Gantung as a cultural myth that endorses suicidal behavior brings about a significant challenge in reducing suicidal rates. The term â€˜Pulungâ€™ is understood as a revelation, a sign or a gift, while the word â€˜Gantungâ€™ means suspension of a person by a ligature around the neck. Hence, Pulung Gantung is understood as a superstitious revelation that is believed to signal an individual to commit suicide. This study aims to identify the psychological factors that influence pulung gantung phenomenon in Gunung Kidul through phenomenological approach to a suicide survivor and his three close relatives. The results demonstrated that suicidal behavior was explained by the weak protective psychological factors, and that suicidal behavior was not performed as a response to Pulung belief; hence it provides insight to the community that suicidal behavior is preventable. This study could potentially inform the government and related parties to promote suicide prevention in the community

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa PGSD serta mendeskripsikan kelemahan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran dengan masalah open-ended ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah metode tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa PGSD tergolong pada kategori tinggi dengan perolehan rata-rata skor KPM yaitu 51,76. Persentase mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada kategori tinggi adalah 94%, sementara 6% dari total mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang. Tidak ada mahasiswa yang berada pada kategori rendah. persentase penguasaan mahasiswa pada tahapan memahami masalah 99,20%, merencanakan strategi 95,20%, menyelesaikan masalah 81,60%, dan memeriksa kembali yaitu 32,80%. Mahasiswa sudah mampu memahami permasalahan, merencanakan strategi, dan mengeksekusi strategi dalam menyelesaikan soal. Akan tetapi, mahasiswa belum terbiasa melakukan pemeriksaan ulang dan memberikan alternatif solusi terhadap hasil pekerjaannya.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of anxiety and learning motivation on student achievement. This research is a kind of ex post facto, a six-month study period. A population of 125 students, with a sample of 100 students were randomly selected. The research variables are student achievement as the dependent variable, while the independent variable is the level of anxiety of students and student learning motivation. Data collection methods used were the questionnaire method and documentation. Data analysis technique used is path analysis. It can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between anxiety level of students' motivation, there is no direct relationship between the level of anxiety of students on student achievement through student learning motivation, there is a positive relationship between learning motivation on student achievement. So it can be stated that there is a correlation between the level of anxiety and learning motivation of students simultaneously on student achievement.

Pembelajaran matematika yang dilaksanakan guru di kelas menjadi persoalan yang sangat menarik untuk didiskusikan. Siswa memandang matematika sebagai suatu mata pelajaran yang sangat membosankan, menyeramkan, bahkan menakutkan. Banyak siswa yang berusaha menghindari mata pelajaran tersebut. Hal ini jelas sangat berakibat buruk bagi perkembangan pendidikan matematika ke depan. Pembelajaran bermakna diharapkan dapat meningkatkan sikap positif terhadap matematika yang akhir-akhir ini sangat jarang dilakukan. Tulisan ini menguraikan tentang cara menumbuhkan sikap positif siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: Sikap positif, dan pembelajaran matematika

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi yang pesat seperti sekarang ini semakin mengubah bentuk pergaulan dan sosialisasi pengguna internet dari anak-anak sampai dengan lansia. Segala bentuk informasi dapat menyebar secara cepat dan luas sehingga sulit untuk dikontrol yang berdampak positif maupun negatif. Dampak negatif dari internet salah satunya adalah cyberbullying. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan pencegahan yang terstruktur mulai dari keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mencegah cyberbullying dengan Ajaran Ki Hadjar Dewantara yaitu Neng Ning Nung Nang, Ngerti Ngrasa Nglakoni, Niteni Nirokke Nambahi dan Tripusat Pendidikan. Metode partisipatif diharapkan dapat membuka wawasan remaja, guru dan orangtua terkait dengan pencegahan cyberbullying. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa rancangan kegiatan pada tripusat pendidikan yang mengarah pada pencegahan cyberbullying di kalangan remaja.

Perkembangan anak yang optimal membutuhkan peran ibu dalam melakukan pengasuhan. Kondisi yang terjadi belum sepenuhnya setiap ibu memahami cara pengasuhan positif. Pendekatan dalam pengasuhan masih sebatas pada kebiasaan yang selama ini berjalan. Kebiasaan tersebut belum mencerminkan pengasuhan positif. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi peningkatan pemahaman dalam pengasuhan positif. Metode yang dilakukan adalah psikoedukasi melalui tripel P dengan ceramah dan diskusi tanya jawab. Peserta yang berpartisipasi sebanyak 11 orang ibu. Selama proses tersebut peserta aktif bertanya tentang materi yang disampaikan dan permasalahan yang dialami selama mengasuh anak. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman bagi para ibu agar memiliki pandangan yang lebih positif dalam mengasuh anak dan dapat diaplikasikan selama melakukan pengasuhan. Berdasarkan skor rerata diketahui terdapat peningkatan pemahaman setelah diberikan psikoedukasi.

ABSTRACTThis research is to find out the relationship between religious orientation with the self-control in pra-wedding sex behaviour among the adolescent who has engage. The subjects of this research is taken 105 students of Psycology in Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, Yogyakarta.Data was collected by interview, observation, and testing method. The research insruments are the scale of self-control in pra-wedding sex and the scale of religious orientation, Data analysis by the correlation product moment and independent sample test.According to the result of the data is r = 0,587 with the level of the significant is p = 0,000 (p<0,05). The effective contribution of the religious orientation to the self-control in pra-wedding sex behaviour is r2 = 34,4%. This result shows that 65,6% of the self-control can be determined by another factors, such as the age, family environment, situation, etnic, and experiences.The conclusion of this research is that there is a positive relationship between religious orientation to the self-control in pra-wedding sex behaviour among the students.Key words: religious orientation, self-control, pra-wedding sex.

AbstractÂ The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between job performance and achievement motivation in employees. Subjects in this study were employees PT.Cipta Mandiri Perkasa Yogyakarta. Sampling technique was purposive sampling. The method of analysis used in this study is Product Moment by Karl Pearson.Results of data analysis variable performance with achievement motivation variable indicates the value of r 0.750 p = 0.000 (p < 0,05). Based on the results of the correlation can be stated that there is a significant positive relationship between achievement motivation with the work performance of employees.Correlation test results showed that achievement motivation variables with job performance determinant coefficient has a value of 0.563. Means of achievement motivation variables contribute effectively to the work performance of 56.30 % , while the remaining 43.70 % is influenced by other factors such as job satisfaction, stress level, physical working conditions, compensation systems and job design.Â Keywords : Achievement motivation, work performance of employees.Â

ABSTRACTÂ This research were aimed to find out the relationship between the interpersonal communication and organizational culture with the job satisfaction, the relationship between the interpersonal communication with the job satisfaction and the relationship between organizational culture with the job satisfaction of lecturer at Universitas Sarjanawita Tamansiswa Yogyakarta.The data were collected by using job satisfaction scales, interpersonal communication scales and organizational culture scales. The research was conducted at the Universitas Sarjanawita Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. The total number of the subjects were 58 that meet the criteria as a research subject.Data were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis and partial correlation analysis, by using SPSS version 17.0 statistical program as a tool. Theresult regression analysis showed : a) There were correlation between the interpersonal communication and the organizational culture with the job satisfaction. The result showed R=0,638 and Adjusted R Square (RÂ²)=0,406, b) there were correlation positively between the interpersonal communication with job satisfaction. The result showed R partial=0,544 (p=0,000) and effective contribution=29,6% and c) there were correlation positively between organizational culture with job satisfaction. The result showed R partial=0,505 (p=0,000) Â and effective contribution=25,5%.Key words : Job Satisfaction, Interpersonal Communication, OrganizationalÂ

ABSTRACT Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between brand image and making the decision of choosing Departement.Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Subjects in this study were students Departement UST Psychology Yogyakarta. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The method of analysis used in this study is from Karl Pearson Product Moment.The results of the analysis of decision-making variable data with variable pick FacultyÂ brand image in showing the value of r = 0,619 with significant level p = 0,000 ( p < 0,05). Based on the results of correlation can be stated that there is a significant positive relationship between brand image by selecting the decision-making department of psychology UST Yogyakarta.Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Correlation test test results showed that the variables of brand image to decision choosing faculty has determinant coefficient of 0,383. Means variable brand image in contributing effectively to decision making choosing Departement by 38,3 %,Â while the remaining 61,7 % is influenced by other factors such as external factors which consist of prince and promotion or marketing and internal factors consist of motivation to decision making and attitudes towards decision making.
