Abstract

The teacher’s personality competence (personality) is the important factor to improve education quality. However, in the fact this competence is not prioritized than pedagogical competence and cognitive competence in a teacher training. Moreover, for personality problems is returned to the teachers individually. Basically, the teachers are also a determinant of reciprocation of education, a teacher personal quality is very necessary to become a good personality and authority. In teaching-learning process, the Success indicator of a teacher’s personality and authority can improve students’ achievement. Based on the problems above, the research objectives of this study are 1) to know the general picture of junior high schools (SMP) at west Aceh regency. 2) to know PAIteachers’ personality competence of Junior High Schools (SMP) at west Aceh regency. 3) to know PAI teachers’ authority of Junior High Schools (SMP) at west Aceh regency. 4) to know PAI achievement of Junior High Schools (SMP) at west Aceh regency. This research was a qualitative descriptive analysis research. The instruments which were used to collect the data in this research consist of observation, interview, documentation study, and questionnaire. The subjects of this study are PAI teachers, the principal, the curriculum vice principal and eighth grade students of three Junior High Schools at west Aceh regency. There are: Junior High School (SMP) 3 Meulaboh, Junior High School (SMP) 1 Samatiga, and Junior High School (SMP) 3 Woyla. The result of the research showed that the teachers had Personality Competence, and good authority. Therefore, the first semester students’ achievement in 2013/2014 got high average score of school standard score.

Abstract

The focus of research is related to; (1) Factors causing irregularities homosexualbehavior in Lam Sabang village, (2) Psychological guidance to young victims of gayin Lam Sabang village, and (3) Policy for resolving the cases of gay in Lam Sabangvillage. While the subject of this study are five-public figures and one village’s leader. Theinstruments used were interview and observation. Data was analyzed by using descriptiveapproach. The findings of this study indicate: (1) The cause of gay’s behavior deviationin Lam Sabang village who causes to be sodomized teenagers in the village due to theperpetrators of sodomy had long divorced his wife and watch pornographic movies thatcan be accessed easily through handphone (HP), (2) Psychological guidance to youngvictims of gay in Lam Sabang village specifically not get service from professionals.However, efforts to strengthen the psychological only were given by the family to provideguidance and through lectures alone, and (3) The policy of resolving these gay cases atthe village level is not carried out because the case has been reported to the police andhas been prosecuted. So far, at the village level, there is no policy including customarysanctions also is not given to them.

Abstract

This paper discusses the innovation of funding sources of Islamic education. This idea was born as a response to the lack of funding sources in the management of Islamic education in Indonesia, especially those sourced from the government. So, acceleration of Islamic education quality achievement is slow. Unfortunately again, in the middle of the situation, the managers of Islamic schools are poor innovation, and only rely on conventional sources of funding (from the government). Therefore, this innovative idea is considered to be able to contribute solutively to the effort to open the faucet of new funding in the management of Islamic education toward the achievement of quality. Hope, Islamic schools in Indonesia will be served in the form of free education again quality, the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure, and refresentatif education facilities.

Abstract

Islamic education is a concept of education based on universal true values and the truthfrom Allah SWT Who has prepared the clear principle of education that enlightens,prospers, and saves mankind in this world and here after. One of the main goals of Islamiceducation is to make people aware and persistent (istiqama) with the basic principleof men creation to serve for Allah (hablummninallah) and become rahmatanlil’alamin,useful and beneficent for the whole universe, either for the men or for the nature(hablumminanaas wahablumminal ‘aalamien) as the consequence of serving the missionof being khalifatullah in the world. Hence, the concept of Islamic education needs to meetseveral main requirements. First, it needs to have a clear goal, objective, and target.Second, the real and absolute educator is Allah SWT, the creator of fitra, the talent giver,the maker of all nature of law related to development, advancement, and interactionas well as He is the One presupposing the rules to actualize completeness, benefit andhappiness of the fitra. Third, education demands for the realization of gradual programby developing teaching and learning activities in line with children development. Fourth,the role of educator must be in accordance with purpose of his creation by Allah. Thelogical consequence of this issue is that Islamic education requires an Islamic curriculum,approach and methodology based on the essence values of the Qur’an and hadith. Thispaper shall discuss concisely all important points related to the concept of Islamiceducation covering the definition and the superiorities of Islamic education.

Abstract

This paper aims to know and reveal the role of headmaster leadership in increasing teacher performance. The quality of headmaster leadership highly determines the good or bad performance of a teacher. However, actually, there are a number of factors inhibiting to meet the quality leadership of a headmaster, like low mentality of the headmaster which is indicated by low motivation and passion to improve the school, lack of insight, less brave to make a change, and numerous other factors that hamper the birth of professional headmaster to improve education quality. Teacher performance is not only influenced by his/her qualification and competence as a teacher but is also affected by other factors that take a role either directly or indirectly such as school culture. It takes cooperation, coordination, and mutual agreement to create a conducive school culture to actualize the goals and a better school quality.

Abstract

Need appropriate learning strategies so that students can more easily understand andimprove the control of chemical concepts, namely one using guided inquiry modelthrough the mastery of concepts and skills assessment process of science. Guided inquirylearning model where the students discover the concepts studied through experimentsin the implementation of the teacher providing guidance or instructions. The learningprocess of science using guided inquiry approach would involve the learners to be activeso that learning becomes more fun, not boring and achieve learning objective.

Abstract

This paper discusses about multicultural education that is a concept of educationembracing an approach and a transformation to provide students and all the people anunderstanding to appreciate and respect the diversity owned by a nation. The conceptto appreciate and respect diversity has been taught in Islam through the Qur’an so thatpeople can see differences and appreciate the diversity they have, such as tribes, religions,cultures, and others. Multicultural education as a concept of education that forms a socialparadigm encourages schools to take part in instilling awareness of the multiculturalcommunity and growing attitude of tolerance to actualize the need and the ability to worktogether among the diversity existed. In this regard, this paper shall show that the practiceof multicultural education in Indonesia is potential to be conducted flexibly rather thanas a separated lesson or in a monolithic manner. The implementation of multiculturaleducation is based on 5 dimensions. (1) Content integration, (2) knowledge constructionprocess, (3) reducing prejudice, (4) equal pedagogy, and (5) empowered school cultureand structure

Abstract

Non-formal education: education outside of school as well as outside the household whohave had certain rules, but not so tight as bound and formal education. The purposeof religious education non-formal to increase faith, understanding, appreciation andpractice of a child in an institution non-formal education about Islam so that a man true Muslim that is faithful and devoted to God, and morality in personal, social, state and nation. Non-formal religious education among them; Aqidah, Shari’ah, Worshipand Morals. Environmental non-formal education is human society, it will determine thesuccess or failure of implementation. institutions of religious education in society, amongothers: Mosque, Traditional Pesantren, pengajians Hall, Place pengajians Qur’an,PesantrenKilat, and meunasah.
