This phenomenon hold also true and could be traced through the canonical texts of Aceh Darussalam kingdom. This articIe is aimed at examining this indication through a brief study on the manuscript of the so-called three laws of Aceh, especially pertaining to siyasah (politics) and the forms of relationship between the two legal systems. Furthermore, it will also discuss the substance of the text compared with al-Mawardis thought in al-Ahkam al-Sulthaniyyah. The study safely comes to the conclusion that the majority of siyasah concept of Islamic law has been absorbed into the structure of canonical texts of Aceh Darussalam Kingdom. Abstract

The movement to fight for gender equality has got a positive response from some parties, even it has also got legal legitimacy as enshrined in CEDAW (The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women), which was ratified by 183 countries in 2006. For religious reformist, this condition is actually a challenge in relation with the way to build arguments gender equality is not only on political side but also in religious one. In this case, there are two approaches performed, namely: a reinterpretation of the Koran and historical reconstruction. Although the two approaches are interrelated, but this article focuses more on the second approach, which is about how the position and role of women in the political and military leadership. Historically, the role of women in politics and military are represented in several prominent and female fighters, like Aisha, Nusaiba bint Ka'b al-Ansariya, Azdah bint al-Harith, and others. Some other well-known women active in the struggle for national liberation as Cut Nyak Dien, Chawa Barajewa of Chechya and several other Chechen women who engage in physical resistance against Soviet rule. In the area of political leadership, some Muslim countries have provided greater opportunity for women to actively participate in various public spaces. Even the religious leadership was no longer the monopoly of men with the women who can make decisions. Kata Kunci: Perempuan, Kepemimpinan Politik, Militer.

Abstract

Gender mainstreaming is a globally accepted strategy for promoting gender equality. Mainstreaming is not an end in itself but a strategy, an approach, a means to achieve the goal of gender equality. Mainstreaming involves ensuring that gender perspectives and attention to the goal of gender equality are central to all activities - policy development, research, advocacy/dialogue, legislation, resource allocation, and planning, implementation and monitoring of programs and projects. Gender mainstreaming is, therefore, becoming a collective awareness and concern in most countries since it is viewed as one of the most appropriate, comprehensive and representative approaches to solve both the problem of gender inequality and the problem of violence against women and children including in Indonesia in general and Aceh in particular.  This study is aimed at exploring how gender mainstreaming initiatives, attempts to integrate a gender equality approach to post-tsunami and post-conflict reconstruction and development efforts in Aceh, take part in the social and political reconstruction by both reproducing and subverting gendered images of temporality and spatiality as well as promoting a holistic gender equality in all aspects of life. The method used in doing this research is a library method in which all related data and library resources are collected, examined and finally analyzed. The result of this study suggests, among others, that gender mainstreaming should be based on a holistic approach, not only in spirit and conceptual basis but also in practical and social reality basis, such as empowering women in having equal access toward education, access to economic resources, access to the right of possessing property, etc. Moreover, one of another important result of this study is that the violence against women and children that still commonly occur almost everywhere in the world should be viewed as collective enemy and challenge which needs to be faced and eliminated collectively as well.

Abstract

The measurement of beauty might be a problem when a person claimed about the value of beauty. This had brought the issue of Islamic aesthetics (which was expressed in the works of art), less appreciated and mired in the stagnation for centuries. While in the West, the aesthetic value had been trapped in the dichotomy of subjectivity and objectivity and had led to the relativistic subjectivity by marginalizing metaphysical approach. Polarization of Islamic aesthetics on geometric themes, arabas and calligraphy had put the creativity of Muslim artists in the stocks, even up to the understanding of the aesthetic itself. Iconoclastic of the mainstream of Islamic artistic should have been one option only. As a product of classical thought and compliance, the iconoclastic should have no longer been representing the needs and been existing in the present context. This study was trying to make arguments both longstanding and recent findings. Realism became researchers’ choice, because realism had the richest footing both in the Qur’an and scientific findings. This study expected to break the shell of orthodoxy about the size of aesthetics in the frame of Islam and gave hope to both the perpetrators and the art connoisseur to the ultimate point

Abstract

This study is aimed at elaborating the role of multimedia in spreading out Islamic teaching among Muslim society, particularly as it is practiced and experienced in Indonesia. It is found that high technology, particularly information technology extraordinarily influence almost all aspects of human life. The development of technology has indeed contributed to the emergence of various inventions and simplified human daily lives, including the methods of preaching Islamic teaching to the Moslems. This research finds out that there are many programs and strategies of doing da’wah (Islamic teaching propagation) and developing its methods, among others, by utilizing multimedia both electronic and printed, both digital and non-digital ones. This sort of program integrates different kinds of media, such as, radio, television, text, internet, picture, MP3, animation, narration, video, and music and others. Another important role of this multimedia is to strengthen interactive and communicative ability and attitude between the da’i (propagator/communicator) and his/her mad’u (communicant/audience). By utilizing multimedia the so-called ummah (moslem society) would not only get information passively but also could select information they need and like based on sort of media they like. In other word, this program generates the intense relationship between the da’i (the da’wah doer/preacher) and the media. This program is very important to develop the strategies of spreading Islamic teaching among Muslim society in order to cope with the impact of high technology. Keywords : Multimedia and Islamic Teaching Propagation

Abstract

Abstract: The growing popularity of the internet has a significant impact on people's attitudes. The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated a cultural, ethical, and normative change in people's behavior. The potential for social change resulting from the emergence or advancement of information and technology is significant. The rise of social media, which has now become a common form of communication, is unavoidable. Digital communication through a variety of websites to obtain information will leave digital traces. The concept of a digital trail certainly reaffirms what has previously been written in Al-Qur'an, Surah Yasin: 65. This verse is relevant to digital multi-hop tracks that outline human actions and behavior to the swipe of their fingers. The verse is translated through the use of a digital trail that is connected to internet access. This library research study uses the source triangulation method to analyse exploratory qualitative content. The study's findings indicate a correlation between the digital trail and Surah Yasin 65, demonstrating that current digital technology proves that the Qur'an's nash or verses are consistent with the unquestionable assumption of human rationality. It also emphasizes the importance of being cautious and responsible when using digital platforms.Abstrak: Tren peningkatan penggunaan internet memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap perilaku masyarakat. Abstract

Axiology is a discourse related to the value or usefulness of science. Science that is developed and controlled by humans should principally be able to provide positive values for human development and keep science and technology away from dehumanization. Axiology must be a guide in developing science because science and technology can develop with the support of human ambition which can be directed by negative and positive factors. Therefore, morality becomes a very important factor when a scientist develops his knowledge. The scientific way of thinking has achieved extraordinary developments in the current era of information technology 4.0., which is well-known as the internet of things. Not all societies are ready for this fundamental change, which not only leads to changes in thought, but also in relation to the culture of the community. Everything is based on technology. The industrial revolution 4.0 reflects a combination of digital and biological physical technology that is able to change humans in the fields of artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, big data and cloud computing, which all of which change the political, social and economic system. Many taboo matters such as extending age, designing babies, intelligent robots with feelings and development of information media technology lead to the negative side. For this reason, the problem of axiology is very important to be implemented, especially in the midst of the onslaught of technology that tends to be value-free in the current era.
