Abstract

Background: The global use of Electronic Medical Records in healthcare service organizations such as hospitals is currently undertaken as a measure to enhance efficiency and safety in healthcare provision. Despite considerable attention being given to this aspect, the benefits of this technology are often not fully realized. Objectives: This research aims to examine the concept of electronic medical records about nurses' perceptions of nursing care documentation, particularly in healthcare services. Methods: The design of this research utilizes a literature review approach by collecting several articles from selected databases, including ScienceDirect and PubMed, with articles published from 2016 to 2023. An article search was conducted by using the keywords "(Electronic medical record) OR (EMR) OR (e-Health Record) AND (perception) OR (Perceived)". The search for articles was limited by inclusion and exclusion criteria. Inclusion criteria for this study encompassed articles investigating electronic medical records, Electronic Health Record (EHR), or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) with a design of a Crossectional Study, while exclusion criteria included non-health service-related articles, abstracts, and books only, as well as letters to the editor. Results: EMR provides significant benefits in clinical practice and healthcare services. The majority of respondents view EMR as a highly advantageous technology in terms of patient data access, workflow efficiency, and the improvement of service quality. Conclusion: This research can be used as a foundation for further development and improvement in the implementation of EMR to enhance the quality of service and patient safety in clinical practice.

Abstract

Background : Hypertension is still a problem for some people because treatment must be carried out regularly and requires regular visits to health facilities. This is a problem for some groups of society, along with the continued use of drugs that have side effects that they must consume with long-term use. Hypertension occurs when systolic blood pressure > 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure > 90 mmHg. Apart from medicines, we can also treat high blood pressure by using natural ingredients such as tomato juice. Tomato juice contains potassium and lycopene, which can lower blood pressure. Objectives : To determine the effect of giving tomato juice on changes in blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Methods : Quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design using a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest approach and a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The total sample was 62 respondents. Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney test were used for statistical tests. Results : Wilcoxon test results for systolic and diastolic blood pressure in the intervention group were recorded for each p-value <0.05 before and after the intervention. The results of the Mann-Whitney test for systolic and diastolic blood pressure after intervention showed a p-value <0.05. Conclusion : Giving tomato juice (Solanum lycopersicum) affects changes in blood pressure in hypertensive patients, so it is recommended as an alternative non-pharmacological treatment option.

Abstract

Background: In the world every 2 seconds 1 person suffers from a stroke, and 16% of the world's population experiences a stroke in their lifetime, every 4 seconds 1 person dies. The initial symptoms of a stroke must be recognized quickly until the stroke patient's golden period of 4.5 hours is over so that there is no wider damage to brain tissue due to a lack of oxygen for too long which causes brain cells (neurons) to die and connections or connections between neurons (synapses) to be lost. can cause paralysis, blurred vision, difficulty speaking, decreased consciousness and even death. Objectives: To analyze the Early Symptom Detection Method of Stroke. Methods: The authors conducted a PRISMA-style systematic review of Stroke Early Symptom Detection Methods in various countries. Using five articles that were used and then included for analysis and interpretation. Results: There are two methods for early detection of early symptoms of stroke that can be used to detect early symptoms of stroke, namely F.A.S.T and BE-FAST. Both methods have the same accuracy and have an optimal limit for detecting stroke of ≥1. Conclusion: There are two methods for early detection of early symptoms of stroke that can be used to detect early symptoms of stroke, namely F.A.S.T and BE-FAST, for this reason these methods need to be disseminated to the public. So it has the impact of being able to increase knowledge about stroke symptom detection which can increase timely stroke detection before the golden period ends.

Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder characterized by difficulties in thought processes. One of the factors influencing repeated hospitalizations in patients with schizophrenia is the knowledge about schizophrenia and family support, which can lead to medication non-adherence. Methods: This study employs a cross-sectional approach with 129 participants who have a family member experiencing repeated hospitalizations or long-term patients diagnosed with schizophrenia at dr. Soeharto Heerdjan Psychiatric Hospital. The sampling data collection technique uses probability. Data were collecte using questionnaire with a reliability value for knowledge about schizophrenia (KASQ) of 0.945, informational support 0.935, assessment/award support 0.915, emotional 0.907, and medication adherence (MARS) 0.960. Bivariate data analysis using logistic regression and multivariate data using the multiple logistic regression test. Results: The research result showed that the majority of respondents had insufficient knowledge 47.3 % with a p-value of 0.000 that there was a significant relationship between family knowledge about schizophrenia and adherence to taking medication. Informational support is 66.7% lacking with a p-value 0.000 a significant relationship between infomational support and medication adherence. Support for assessment/reward is less that 78.3% with a p-value 0.000 that there is significant relationship between support for assessment/reward and adherence to taking medication. Instrumental support wasl 77.5% with a p-value 0.000 that there was a significant relationship between instrumental support and compliance with taking medication. Emotional support was less at 77.5% with a p-value 0.000 that there was significat reletionship between emotional support and compliance with taking medication. The dominant factor among families of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia experiencing repeated hospitalizations at dr. Soeharto Heerdjan Psychiatric Hospital was the variable of family informational support with an odds ratio of 32.003. This indicates that families with informational support are 32 times more likely to have repeated hospitalizations compared to families without informational support, after controlling for variables of knowledge about schizophrenia, family instrumental support, and family appraisal/esteem support. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge about schizophrenia, informational support, appraisal/esteem support, instrumental support, and emotional support with medication adherence.
