Abstract

Network devices become an important medium for transferring data from one node to another node in the form of switches, routers or network security devices. The reliability of network devices must be maintained both in terms of device resources and bandwidth. The study was conducted by applying the Holt-Winters and Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) method to network device and bandwidth data utilization. The two methods are compared to assess which accuracy is better when applied to network device and bandwidth utilization data by calculating Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage (MAPE). The results of the measurement of accuracy in the network device testing data, MLP produces a value of RMSE of 5,67 and MAPE of 2.34, and Holt-Winters produces a value of RMSE of 14.56 and MAPE of 2.95. For the results of the measurement of accuracy in the bandwidth testing data with MLP produces a value of RMSE of 0.13 and MAPE of 7.27, and Holt-Winters produces RMSE values of 2.59 and MAPE of 134.31. Based on the results of these measurements it is concluded that the MLP method has a smaller error value compared to the Holt-Winters method applied to network device and bandwidth utilization data with a span of 3 years historical data.

Abstract

Analyzing and systematically extracting essential information from recording transactions is important for a business, including online stores. Sometimes, some online stores offer a product package that is not suitable for the customer. It happens because they did not process the data transaction to observe the association between products on a package. A web-based recommendation system was build using the CodeIgniter framework with PHP programming language. The system developed using Market Basket analysis that can determine the combination of products. Apriori algorithm used as a technique to analyze the relationship between products based on the data transaction. The lift ratio value generated from the rule is 1.18, which means that the rule has the power of relationships between items. We evaluate the system using USE questionnaire with usefulness results is 90.83%, ease of use 89.09%, ease of learning 95%, and satisfaction 90.94%, which strongly agree in every aspect.

Abstract

When the photos are taken in low light condition, the quality of the results will not meet their expectation. Image Enhancement method can be used to enhance the quality of the photos taken in low light condition. One of the algorithms used is called Histogram Equalization (HE), that works using Histogram basis. The superiority of HE algorithm in enhancing the quality of the photos taken in low light condition is the simplicity of the algorithm itself and it does not need a high specification device for the algorithm to run. One variant of HE algorithm is Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE). This paper shows the implementation of HE algorithm and its performance in enhancing the quality of photos taken in low light condition on Android based application and the comparison with CLAHE algorithm. The results show that, HE algorithm is better than CLAHE algorithm.

Abstract

The density and uneven distribution of the population in each area must be considered because it will cause problems such as the emergence of uninhabitable slums, environmental degradation, security disturbances, and other population problems. In the data obtained from the 2010 population census based on the level of population distribution in Karawang District, the area of West Karawang, East Karawang, Rengasdengklok, Telukjambe Timur, Klari, Cikampek and Kotabaru are zone 1 regions which are the densest zone with a population of 76,337 people up to 155,471 inhabitants. This research predicts / forecasting population growth in the 7 most populated areas for the next 1 year using Double Exponential Smoothing Brown and Holt methods. This study uses Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) to evaluate the performance of the double exponential smoothing method in predicting per-additional population numbers. Forecasting results from the two methods place the Districts of East Telukjambe, Cikampek, Kotabaru, East Karawang, and Rengasdengklok in 2020 to remain in zone 1 with a range of 76,337 people to 155,471 inhabitants. Whereas in the Districts of Klari and West Karawang are outside the range in zone 1 because both districts have more population than the range in zone 1. From the results of MAPE both methods are found that 6 out of 7 districts in the method Holt's double exponential smoothing produces a smaller MAPE value compared to the MAPE value generated from Brown's double exponential smoothing method. It was concluded that in this study the Holt double exponential smoothing method was better than Brown's double exponential smoothing method.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was first discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and spread so quickly into a pandemic. This outbreak has spread to 24 other countries, including Indonesia. Its spread is very fast, so a co-19 prediction study is needed to be able to make the right policy. To be able to predict the number of COVID-19 cases can be done with the Forecasting Technique. The purpose of this study is to forecast and compare Single Exponential Smoothing and Double Exponential Smoothing ¬ against the number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. The results of this study can be used as consideration for policymaking in dealing with the spread of COVID-19. Distribution predictions are based on data released by the Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) in the first 100 days of COVID-19 deployment. The results of this study are the Double Exponential Smoothing method is more accurate than the Single Exponential Smoothing method because the forecasting results show an increase from the previous data. And the percentage of errors (MAPE) obtained is significantly smaller.
