Abstract

Gender issues are discussed in many literary works, whether they are foreign literature, Indonesian literature, or regional literature. Gender issues also appear in religious literature and or pesantren literature. Most of the gender issues that arise in religious literature and or pesantren are issues of gender bias or gender imbalances that are confirmed by the arguments of the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet. However, in the literature study of pesantren with the approach of feminist literary criticism of the Sy'ir Laki Rabi by Haji Zakaria did not show any gender bias. The results show that the gender issues raised in this poem are not loaded with gender bias. This work, though, speaks of domestic life, but it emphasizes the duties, duties, and rights of husband and wife.

Abstract

Society needs transliteration of Arabic script to Latin script to help those who can not read Arabic letter correctly. Reality shows there are many problems in the business. Although there is a Joint Decree between the Minister of Education and the Minister of Religious Affairs on Arab-Latin Transliteration Guidance, but in fact there are many versions of transliterations in the field. This paper discusses the problematics of Arab-Latin transliteration in Indonesian, with case studies on the Panduan Hajj and Umrah books of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Travel Haji and Umroh PT Razek and Zidni Silma and Jamiatul Hujaj Kudus. The version of PT Razek follows the Transliteration guidelines of the two ministers, but still causes a lot of mispronunciations which result in misrepresentation. Books published by JHK Kudus attempt to bridge the difficulties faced by some Javanese Islamic community by creating their own transliteration system. Transliteration is quite helpful. It seems necessary to re-agree Latin Arabic transliteration system by considering the principle of the truth of speech and habits that exist in the community

Abstract

AbstractAcehnese and Gayonese belong to Austronesian languages which are cognate genetically. Adjacent location became the basis for the assumption that both language are related one of the linguistic kinship indicators described in comparative historical linguistic studies in occurrence of sound changes that occur regularly. The two languages show similar specific features. One of them is a phenomenon of sound changes that is called a phonemic correspondence. The sound changes in the two languages happen continuously. In this paper, the writer wants to prove the cognate phenomenon by using a comparative analysis, especially by applying a phonemic correspondence technique. Based on similarities in form and correspondence phonemes technique, it was found that the formula of the phonemic correspondence in Acehnese and Gayonese are:  *a and *u> in phonemic correspondence /a~e/, /a~o/, /o~u/, and /e~u/ especially on position penultima bilabial, palatal, dorsovelar, and faringal.
