Traditional arts are used to express the beauty of the human soul. In traditional artwork implicit message of the society of knowledge, ideas, beliefs and values norms. One example of a traditional art that has the function of rituals is Barongan. Barongan is a community-owned art Kabupaten Pati, Jawa Tengah raised to preserve the culture and values in society. Through a qualitative descriptive approach with observation techniques and literature, it was found that at the next stage of development, especially in the modern society, arts performances Barongan shift function just as more entertainment. Barongan existence as art and traditional culture in Indonesia progressively eroded by the expansion of global art and culture. Therefore, efforts must be made to preserve the arts and culture in the midst of changing times and foreign cultural influences have been increasing in Indonesia

Proverbs are an identity marker for the language users in one region. The uniqueness and cultural diversity can be seen from the interpretation of the proverb. Therefore, this study aims to examine women's identity in the domestic domain in Sundanese proverbs. This research involves semiotic and cultural analysis. The stages of analysis are divided into 3 coding, classification, and analysis. This research is formulated to answer two issues; 1) signs found in Sundanese proverbs including symbols, indices and icons in representing the role of women in the domestic sphere in Sundanese society, and 2) interpretations of signs associated with cultural concepts. Based on the analysis the results are 1) women’s sign in Sundanese proverbs are related to kitchen, bed, and cosmetic, 2) Those three signs for women construct women’s position in domestics sphere. Women are binded to be in the kitchen and has no power on their own body.

Whatever the purpose, people talk or write, want to be noticed by P2. There are many ways to come into that goal, one among the others, is by trying to make his or her utterance amusing. Polite utterance makes others happy. Religion teaching on polite-ness or religion leader’s (language) etiquette tend to become the sourse of patterns to follow. In the other hand, every language/culture society also has theirown rules of that language propriety. Then, it become interesting to search that kind of culture contact. This article trys to find out a set of possible principles based on that kind of contact between Christian etiquette and Indonesian language etiquette. It is hoped that the results can be used to determine the degree of politeness of Umat Allah.

Singir as Javanese poetry is not less noticed by literary experts. These poems were not recorded in various catalogs of manuscripts, not recorded in the periodization of Javanese literature, and only a few experts examined them. Even though the population and tradition of singir still exist and develop until now. This paper tries to position the singir as a type of coastal literature while looking at its social functions. To uncover this problem, genre and sociology studies are needed. The results of genre studies show that the structure of singir is different from other types of Javanese literature, even different from Malay poetry. As for the sociology study, it was found that the singir had the functions of entertainment, education and teaching, and spiritual functions

Klopoduwur Blora villagers are mostly descendants of Samin Surosentiko is a society that is still running the egalitarian values in daily life. These groups are known as community Samin. Samin community is a community that is consistent in behavior among others uphold the values of honesty , not envy, jealousy , prejudice is not ugly to others , behave and act what is ( not making this up ). Samin important for society not to disturb others and vice versa Samin people also do not want to disturb other people 's life and social institutions. Samin society is a society that can integrate the influx of popular culture with the attitude and teachings Sedulur sikep . Sedulur sikep teachings on society Samin persist accordance with the portions although popular culture spere entered public life Samin. In everyday life people Samin uphold the teachings Saminisme entrenched . Samin society trying to keep the existence and preserve the culture and teachings Sedulur sikep to instill and teach the younger generation descendants and tribes Samin.

Characters and attitudes are often raised in a story or literary work involving the author himself to bring out what he has experienced, so that the reader can be clearly known by humanity's attitude as described in Ojung's novel. The novel, describes the attitude of Madurese people who are diverse in dealing with social problems such as brave attitude to bear the risks possessed by the main sitokoh, a very high attitude of confidence and confidence will come something he believes, egoism and ambition, willingness to sacrifice and virtuous tall one. Attitudes in a literary work can be diverse, including brave attitudes, high manners, selfishness, jealousy and envy of all and so on. The method used is a qualitative method. The results of the study illustrate the attitude of the Madurese people such as: the attitude of upholding self-esteem, courageous attitude to bear the risk.

Analisis Fungsi Sintaksis Kata Apa dan Mana dalam Bahasa Indonesia Sri Puji Astuti

The characteristic of interrogative sentence, one of them is the presence of a question word of apa, mengapa, siapa and others. Apa and mana and its derivative forms are also often found in declarative sentences. In this paper, it is explained that it can fulfill syntactic functions of apa and mana and its derivative forms contained in sentences either interrogative sentences or declarative sentences. The data collection in this research is in the form of basic technique of tapping.This stage ends with an orthographic transcription in the form of recording on the data card systematically. In the data analysis was used the method of distribution namely the method of data analysis in the form of connection between phenomena in its particular language. The techniques used in this research were substitution, expansion and delisi techniques. Based on the results of the research, it is found that apa and mana and its derivative forms can fulfill the functions of S, V, O, complement, and Adverb. Expansion with kah does not change the function in sentence.

AbstractParticle as a marker of the sentence type has its own characteristics/characteristics, namely: enclitis, human, and relatively free distributed. Due to the nature/ characteristics of the particle has a function as a confirmation of the sentence. In addition to the subject, the particles also have the ability to move in accordance with the elements of the sentence to be affirmed; and as a result of the ability to move in place the absence of particles can be able to join the many kinds of word classes. The application of methods, both data collection methods and methods of classification and data analysis as imposed in linguistic research activities. Namely: the stage of data collection, classification and data analysis phase, and stage of presentation/ report writing. The theory used in relation to the study of these particles is the linguistic theory of the syntactic field. The result show that the kah particle always follow to the word. Kah particle can be remove according to the sentence elements that are focused. The existing of kah particle in the interrogative sentence is optionally. IntisariPartikel kah sebagai penanda tipe kalimat tanya mempunyai sifat/ciri khusus, yaitu: bersifat enklitis, manasuka, dan relatif berdistribusi bebas. Akibat sifat/ciri tersebut maka partikel tersebut mempunyai fungsi sebagai penegas kalimat. Di samping perihal tersebut, partikel kah juga mempunyai kemampuan berpindah letak sesuai dengan unsur bagian kalimat yang hendak ditegaskan; dan akibat kemampuan berpindah tempat maka kebaradaan partikel kah mampu bergabung dengan sekian banyak macam kelas kata. Adapun penerapan metode, baik metode pengumpulan data maupun metode klasifikasi dan analisis data sebagaimana yang diberlakukan dalam kegiatan penelitian linguistik. Yaitu: tahap pengumpulan data, tahap klasifikasi dan analisis data, dan tahap penyajian/penulisan laporan. Teori yang digunakan sehubungan pengkajian partikel kah iniadalah teori linguistik bidang sintaksis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partikel kah selalu menempel pada kata. Partikel kah dapat berpindah letak sesuai dengan unsur kalimat yang dijadikan pemfokusan. Kehadiran partikel kah dalam kalimat tanya tidak bersifat wajib.

Pola Alih Tutur dalam Naskah Drama First Love Karya Inggrida Wisnu S. Sri Puji Astuti

The purpose of this research is to describe the pattern of turn-taking and how to get the turn-taking contained in the drama of First Love by Inggrida Wismu S. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Methods of data collection in this research is an observation method means that observe to the play script drama of First Love by Inggrida Wisnu S. the source of data obtained by online media. The data obtained in this research was a fragment of taking. Then, the data was analyzed by using the pattern of turn-taking. The results showed that the pattern of turn taking based on the closest adjacency pair contained in the drama of First Love script was (1) the question was followed by the answer, (2) greeting was followed by salam, (3) the call was followed by the answer, (4) farewell expression was followed by message, (5) ) praise was followed by refusing, (7) complain was followed by questioning, answering, offering, and refusing, (8) accusing was followed by refusing and admitting (9) the petition was followed by agreement, petition, suspension, petition, granting. As for turn-taking in the First Love drama by Inggrida Wisnu S used how to acquire, steal, create, continue, and seize.

Advertisement is a marketing tool that helps selling goods, providing services, and ideas through certain way in the form of persuasive information. How the persuasion strategy used the advertiser in other to be able to draw attention of potential customers is discussed in this paper. This research data is in the form of advertising discourse. The data used in this study comes from the advertising discourse of online. In the data collection activities used was the observation method or refer method namely listening the use of language in the advertising discourse online. Data was selected according to the research needs. Data were analyzed by using content analysis. The results showed that there were two ways of advertisers persuading prospective customers was persuasion implicitly, and explicitly.
