Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air nira aren (Arengga Pinnata Merr) secara oral terhadap konsumsi hijauan serta pertambahan bobot badan kambing Peranakan Etawa (PE). Penelitian dilaksanakan dikandang “Helo Farming Group (HFG)” Desa Siapporik Lombang Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan selama dua bulan. Kambing PE yang digunakan adalam kambing betina berumur 1,5-2 tahun dangan bobot yang seragam. Penelitian dirancang dengan menggunakan rancangan bujur sangkar latin (RBSL) 5 x 5: yaitu 5 perlakuan serta 5 pengulangan terhadap sampel. Subjek penelitian yaitu lima ekor kambing PE. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pemberian air nira aren secara oral terhadap tingkat konsumsi pakan hijauan. Sedangkan untuk pertambahan bobot badan hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh yang nyata pemberian air nira aren secara oral pada kambing PE.Kata Kunci : Kambing PE, air nira aren, oral

Abstract

This research aimed to see the effect of Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal as substitution of soybean meal in the diets on development giblets of broiler chickens. The study was conducted for 35 days and giblets sampling was carried out on the 35 day. The DOC used is the cobs strain produced by PT. Charoen Pokphan Indonesia with an average weight of 35.1 grams. A completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications and ten birds in each replication was used in this experiment. Dietary treatments were: R1= diet containing 20% soybean meal without I. zollingeriana top leaf meal ; R2= diet containing 16% soybean meal and 5.9% Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal (substitute 20% soybean meal protein with Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal) ; R3= diet containing 12% soybean meal and 11.8% Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal (substitute 40% soybean meal protein with Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal); R4= diet containing 8% soybean meal and 17.74% Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal (substitute 20% soybean meal protein with Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal). Variable measured was giblet of broiler (liver, heart, gizzard, spleen, bile, pancreas, kidney, relative length of small intestine and cecum.). The result showed that usage Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal in the diets did not affect giblets of broiler chickens. The conclusion of this study was Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal can be use up to 17.74% to substitute 60% soybean meal protein without interrupting the development giblets of broiler.Key words: Broiler Chicken; Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal; Blood profile.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui respon stres ayam broiler yang disuplementasi nira aren (Arenga pinnata Merr.) selama periode pemeliharaan fase starter. Sampel yang diamati sebanyak 100 ekor ayam broiler pada umur DOC sampai akhir fase starter (1-14 hari). Digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang terdiri dari 5 kelompok perlakuan (P) dan 4 ulang (U) dimana sampel ayam dibagi secara homogen. Suplementasi yang digunakan yaitu nira aren segar, dikonsentrasikan pada masing-masing kelompok perlakuan secara ad libitum yaitu 0% (P1), 5% (P2), 10% (P3), 15% (P4) dan 20% (P5) dalam air minum v/v. Data yang damati berupa indikator stres dari respon fisiologi tubuh meliputi temperatur rektal, frekuensi pernafasan, dan frekuensi denyut jantung yang dianalisis menggunakan ANAVA, serta persentase mortalitas pada akhir pemeliharaan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan suplementasi nira aren tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap temperatur rektal (P>0,05) dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap frekuensi pernafasan dan frekuensi denyut jantung (P<0,05). Selama program pemeliharaan periode fase starter, tingkat mortalitas pada pemberian suplementasi nira aren berada di kisaran 5% (≤5%) sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol tingkat mortalitas berada di 10% (>5%).Kata kunci: stres, respon fisiologis, ayam broiler, nira aren, mortalitas

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the Supplementation Moringa Leaves Powder (Moringa oleifera) in Ration on Performace of Super Village Chicken. Used 96 DOC super village chicken. The experiment was designed into completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 4 replicates. Treatments consisted of (P0) Moringa leaves powder 0% in Ration , (P1) Moringa leaves powder 2% in Ration, (P2) Moringa leaves powder 4% in Ration, (P3) Moringa leaves powder 6% in Ration, (P4) Moringa leaves powder 8% in Ration, (P5) Moringa leaves powder 10% in Ration. The parameters were feed consumption, average daily gain, feed conversion and mortality.. The data were analyzed by statistical product and service solution (SPSS 16.0) and significant effect among treatments were tested by Duncan’s multiple range test. the result showed that the Supplementation Moringa Leaves Powder were significant (P<0.05) in feed consumption and average daily gain. the conclusion of this experiment was that Supplementation Moringa Leaves Powder (Moringa oleifera) in Ration to 10% not influenced performance and mortality of Super Village Chicken.Keywords: Moringa Leaves Powder (Moringa oleifera). Abstract

The study used 200 Japanese quail (Cortunix Cortunix japonica) aged eight weeks with a daily egg production of > 50%. This research aimed to study the substitutions of soybean meal (SBM) with Indigofera zollingeriana top leaf meal (ILM) in the diet on of the quail production performance. The experiment was conducted using a complete random design with five treatments and four repeats (10 quail tails each). The dietary treatment contained fve kind of combination of of SBM and ILM, R0= diets contained 18% SBM without ILM, R1= 16.2% SBM and 2.66% ILM, R2= 14.4% SBM and 5.32% ILM, R3= 12.6% SBM and 7.98% ILM, R4= 9% SBM and 13.3% ILM. The result showed that the used 2.66%, 5.32%, 13.3% ILM (R4) significantly (P<0.05) to quail egg production, egg mass production, and ration conversion. The conclusion of this sstudy was Indigofera zollingeriana top leaf meal could be used as much as 13.3% in the diets and could improve the quail production performance.Key words : Indigofera zollingeriana, Production performance Quail,
