Abstract

 Sosial structure always shows complex categorization. Wealth and poverty are not only seen as the result of functional interactions in society, but rather sosial dialectics that are continuously understood. This article explores the sosial life of the beggar community, especially focusing on the elaboration of the stigma they face from one side of society, and their efforts to capitalize on the situation of poverty as sosial capital, as work that is done routinely to continue life. The research method used here is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was taken through observation, interviews and documentation studies. This article finds that beggars in their communities face negative stigma, perceived bias, from the local community and the communities where they operate as beggars. However, on the other hand, these beggars feel immune to their sosial status and understand that the poverty they face must be capitalized on as sosial capital to earn a living. Here, this article puts forward the argument that beggars and their poverty must gain an alternative perspective so that this can be used as additional insight in efforts to understand and resolve the problem of poverty.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the values and traditions that exist in the Sunni-Shiite community in building multiculturalism in a pluralistic society. So far, Sunni-Shia relations have been depicted in a conflictual scheme. This research uses qualitative methods from a sociological perspective. The data obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation techniques, this study shows that the atmosphere of peace between Sunni-Shia in Banjaran is reflected in humanitarian social work, social organizations and institutions, organizations and educational institutions. Traditions that develop in the community and values as a belief in the conduct of life every day cannot be negated in its role in building patterns, values that build awareness of multiculturalism so that from that awareness comes tolerance between religious communities.

Abstract

The phenomenon of workaholism has occurred a lot in society, so it is important to carry out an in-depth analysis to examine this phenomenon. The focus of this research is to examine the phenomenon of workaholism using the lens of Foucault's discourse analysis theory with two methodologies used, namely archeology of knowledge and genealogy of power. The aim of this research is to reveal the discourse of workaholism that occurs among PT. Kusuma Mulia Textile workers. This research approach is qualitative research using the case study method. The data comes from documentation, interviews and direct observation using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the analysis, there are values that power wants to build, namely creating a comfortable working atmosphere, establishing flexible working hours at certain position levels, and related work contract agreements. Internalization of values is carried out through company regulations, leadership policies, and instilled habits. This discourse aims to form workers who are loyal, responsible and make maximum contributions to company. The regulation produce knowledge and become truth to workers. So as to produce employees who are disciplined and obedient. This discipline is considered to be the most effective method and mechanism in instilling discourse and exercising domination.

Abstract

Culture is a valuable asset that needs to be preserved. Through this, there is a need for educational practices for the community as an effort to preserve culture. One of them can be done through Sanggar Pasinaon Pambiwara Keraton Surakarta. In its educational practice, this studio provides material about Javanese culture from the perspective of the Surakarta Palace for a period of six months. The purpose of this study is to examine the educational practices carried out by Sanggar Pasinaon Pambiwara Keraton Surakarta as an effort to maintain the existence of Javanese culture using Malinowski's functionalisme theory analysis framework. This research was conducted in Sanggar Pasinaon Pambiwara Keraton Surakarta, precisely in Marcukundha Ward. The research method used is qualitative research with the type of intrinsic case study research method. The results showed that there are several roles of the studio, namely the role of class learning and the role in palace activities. The elements that support the running of the studio include the founder, pangayom, pamong, dwija, and the Yayasan Kebudayaan Keraton Surakarta.  The educational practices carried out by the studio have fulfilled three needs, including activities on the beach after the Nyekar dhateng Pajimatan activity, the facilities and services provided by the studio fulfill psycho-biological needs, in gathering activities, discussing marriage material using Javanese customs, and trying to provide livelihoods fulfill biological needs, the educational process carried out includes learning sesuluh (material), Gladhen Tumindak (practical activities), Nyekar dhateng Pajimatan activities and Nyinau Wewangunan Surakarta Palace activities, and rules in terms of dress meet instrumental needs, and learning Javanese culture with reference to Surakarta Palace meets integrative needs.

Abstract

This study aims to provide understanding to the community, especially teenagers in Sekura Village regarding the negative impacts of the Mobile Legends online game so that they can reduce their playing hours so as not to cause addiction that results in them. This research was conducted using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, the determination of informants was carried out using the purposive sampling method, namely adolescents aged 17-21 years who were addicted to online games and parents of these adolescents. The results of this study show that there is a phenomenon of online game addiction that occurs in Sekura Village and is mostly experienced by mid-to-late adolescent adolescents, because at that age it is very vulnerable to the impact of online games due to their immature minds and still want to play a lot. The causative factors of online game addiction are boredom so looking for more fun things, following friends and lack of supervision from parents. The negative impact of Mobile Legends game addiction results in teenagers wasting their time on things that are not useful, often and easily speak abusive or negative language, health that is not maintained properly, and ignore the people around them

Abstract

This article argues the cultural values of sasi ikan lompa as a culture-based mentoring approach. The local culture-based approach is an illustration of a contextual mentoring approach based on local wisdom which is a characteristic of the multicultural Indonesian nation. This research uses a qualitative ethnographic method by obtaining data through observation, interviews, and literature study. The data analysis technique used is through the stages of data reduction, data processing, and conclusion. The research results obtained are first; Lompa fish sasi can be used as culture-based assistance in society because it contains the values of assistance regarding guidance, solidarity, harmony, masohi (cooperation). Second, assistance based on cultural values can create a reconciliation effort for indigenous communities on Haruku Island where conflicts often occur between countries/villages. Third, a culture-based mentoring approach shows the alignment of Indigenous communities towards ecological justice. Abstract

The tradition of traveling takbir at the Ali Maksum Foundation Krapyak Islamic Boarding School has become a routine every year in the month of Zulhijjah. During the activity, participants wore a variety of attractive clothing that brought Islamic and cultural elements. This research aims to explain the values contained in the clothing worn, because each clothing worn by each group of participants has messages to be conveyed to the audience or judge. The approach used in qualitative research is a literature study approach which refers to sources related to the research. The results of this research show that the clothing worn by each participant has a hidden meaning. For example, Muslim clothing depicts Santri as figures who are protected from all evil, batik clothing depicts the diversity of Santri in terms of race, ethnicity, culture, vision and mission. Surjan clothing symbolizes elegance. Not everyone can become a Santri, but everyone has the opportunity to become a Santri. Umaro’s clothing illustrates that Santri are future leaders. Jarik clothing depicts Santri as humble figures who are far from arrogant.

Abstract

Mbere besi mersik it is a Tradition that is believed to be a tradition that aims to strengthen a person ‘s spirit or soul. From here it became known to the community and now because it has a big impact on those who practice this tradition, for the community Mbetung, here it can be a solution related to problems such as poor health, disharmonius household, married but without the blessing of their parents. And haven’t tried it yet. partner this can be overcome by carrying out the tradition of clean revision by the community Mbetung.There are several kinds of values and symbols contained in the mersik iron Mbere tradition, research was carried out with the aim of describing what values and symbols are contained in the mersik iron Mbere tradition which has a huge impact on the lives of the people in Mbetung Village. The research method is using qualitative research with a descriptive approach where data is collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with 11 informants, and documentation. The results of the research explain what the symbolic values and importance of the mersik iron mbere tradition are and what impacts are experienced by the people of Mbetung village, Juhar subdistrict. The traditional values of the mersik iron mbere are an introspective attitude, the value of respecting ancestors, the value of a humble attitude, this tradition is carried out based on the Karo calendar which functions to see good days as a belief in the smooth running of the event that will be held, as for the location of the tardisi ino at home. bere, namely those who experience pain or irregularities

Abstract

The agrarian problem in Sumenep has become an interesting issue in recent years. Many investors, both from inside and outside, are coming in, from the tanah sangkol becoming shrimp ponds, beaches that are starting to disappear, and rice fields that are starting to be planted with iron for hotels and housing. In fact, Sumenep, which has historical roots in the genealogy of eco-theology in environmental conservation, must now be questioned. Qualitative research as a method for obtaining in-depth data using observation and deep interview, the data obtained will be analyzed by data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the eco-theological genealogy of the Sumenep community in preserving the environment can be seen in the form of the socio-historical genealogy of Syeh Ahmad Baidlawi or known as kiai Katandur ,who preaches an agricultural approach. Apart from that, the identity of the people of Sumenep is part of their "Kemadura" identity tanah sangkol is a source of pride for the people of Sumenep, one way of caring for the land and the environment is now starting to be questioned.
