The objective of this research is to study the philosophical fondation of Koperasi Indonesia. The important factor discussed in this research is cooperative philosophy concept. As the characteristic of Indonesian economy, Koperasi Indonesia should be convinced as the core economic system in Indonesia although the threat of the free competition outside is great enough. The research method used is literature study with empirical qualitative analysis. The researchers explore the advantage of Koperasi Indonesia and also the role of the government to encourage and strengthen the economic fondation because we can not escape from the great competition in the future. Koperasi Indonesia with the cooperative concept is the solution but it still needs the awareness and development of this concept as the economic system from whole parties in this country.        Keywords: cooperative, welfare, clasic economics, social economics

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze production elasticity to capital and labor at Batik Banyumas industry. The object of this research is Batik Banyumas business using cross-section data on 2008. The data are capital, especially investment capital, and labor as direct input, and also the quantitiy of Batik production. Primary data is obtained by interview to responden and secondary data is collected from Industry, Trade, and Cooperation Department. The method analysis is multiple regression with Constant Elasticity Substitution (CES) of production function model.  The results of research indicate that:1.   Investment capital and labor influence significantly to the quantity of Batik Banyumas production, partially and simultaneously.2.   Totally,  investment capital,  labor,  and substitution process of labor to capital investment to the quantity of batik production are elastic. Partially, investment capital is elastic but labor and substitution process of labor to capital investment are inelastic.3.    Input substitution rate (between investment capital and labor) with r value indicator is 0,748044991 (<1).  It means that substitution process between investment capital and labor is inelastic and it’s difficult to do. Keywords: direct input, capital investment, labor, partial and total elasticity,  constant elasticity substitution

Abstract

The aim of this research are to study the backward and forward linkages of foodstuff plant sector towards another economic sector and to study how condition of supply and demand of commodity of foodstuff plant sector in West Java, 2003. The research method is descriptive one by using the data of Input Output (IO) Table of West Java, 2003, with 86 sectors in classification. The linkage analysis divides into the backward and forward linkages. The results of the research are foodstuff plant sector in West Java, 2003: (a) has backward linkage lower than forward one by looking at total value of backward linkage and also forward one; (b) has relation with 23 economic sectors in backward and 21 economic sectors in forward; and (c) can not cover all demand commodity of corn, sweet potatoes, soybean, and other foodstuff plant commodities. Abstract

Regional economic potencies in Central Java Province is an interesting object to examine. Many regencies in the province has relied on agriculture sector be a primary income source in 2000, but, the sector has showed decreasing contribution in 2004. Beside that, new city raising, since 1999, has also affected to the structural economy changing because it leaded modern economic activity to stimulate regional income increasingly. By Static Location Quotient (LQ), this research shows that some superior economic sectors has change in 2000 to 2004, among regencies and cities. The tendency of the changing has an implication of the growth of role in every sectors, relatively among the regions. By Dynamic Location Quotient (LQ), this research shows some regions have lower LQ than others and coincide decreasing LQ value. If this empirical condition occurs in important sectors, it will has negative effect to economic condition of society. On the other side, some regions have higher LQ and positive LQ growth. It makes the economic sectors have positive potency and needs to keep improving by policy maker.  Keywords: Static and Dinamic Location Quotient, potencies, regional

Abstract

Small enterprises have proved their important role to economic condition in a country. Based on financial side, small enterprises could answer quickly and flexibility to economic crisis shocks rather than medium and large enterprises. Based on employee absorption, small enterprises could pass the crisis without reducing the number of employee. Thus, small enterprises are to be anchor for societies and local governments in order to economic improvement and social welfare, even in recent decentralization era. Local government tries to develop potential endowments through empowering the advantage and potential sectors and products. This research aim is to study important variables and analyze relationship between them in small enterprise of hair production in Karangbanjar village, Purbalingga regency. The tools used in this research are Spearman-rank Correlation to know strong correlation between variables and Ordinary Least Square (multiple regression) to analyze functional relationship between them. In this research, small enterprises were separated between cottage and small industries. The results obtained from this research are based on correlational analysis, there is strong correlation between variables studied, such material, wage expenditure, capital, asset, and product value. Functional relationship analysis shows that in cottage industry, material affects product value significantly while in small industry, that is wage expenditure. These results are suitable with the hypothesis in this research.  Keywords: hair production, production, small industry, cottage industry
