Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the income received by farmers and to measure the marketing efficiency of oyster mushroom in Purbalingga Regency. It used survey method with primary data collected through questionnaire-based interviews. The sample consists of 22 farmers using census and 24 intermediary traders obtained by snowball sampling. Data analysis techniques used in this study are income analysis, marketing margin, farmer's share, marketing costs, marketing profit and marketing efficiency. The results show that there are three marketing channels for oyster mushroom in Purbalingga: channel I (farmers ─ consumers), channel II (farmers ─ village collectors  ─ retailers ─ consumers), and channel III (farmers ─ village collectors ─ wholesalers ─  processor ─ consumers). The results show that the marketing of oyster mushrooms in Purbalingga Regency has not been efficient. The study also indicates that the shorter the marketing channel, the greater the farmer's share. Therefore farmers and the local government should take efforts to shorten the marketing channel. Keywords: revenue, marketing channels, marketing margin, farmer's share, marketing costs, marketing profit, and marketing efficiency

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze production elasticity to capital and labor at Batik Banyumas industry. The object of this research is Batik Banyumas business using cross-section data on 2008. The data are capital, especially investment capital, and labor as direct input, and also the quantitiy of Batik production. Primary data is obtained by interview to responden and secondary data is collected from Industry, Trade, and Cooperation Department. The method analysis is multiple regression with Constant Elasticity Substitution (CES) of production function model.  The results of research indicate that:1.   Investment capital and labor influence significantly to the quantity of Batik Banyumas production, partially and simultaneously.2.   Totally,  investment capital,  labor,  and substitution process of labor to capital investment to the quantity of batik production are elastic. Partially, investment capital is elastic but labor and substitution process of labor to capital investment are inelastic.3.    Input substitution rate (between investment capital and labor) with r value indicator is 0,748044991 (<1).  It means that substitution process between investment capital and labor is inelastic and it’s difficult to do. Keywords: direct input, capital investment, labor, partial and total elasticity,  constant elasticity substitution

Abstract

During the 2017-2019 period, Central Java performed well in poverty alleviation. It turns out that the reduction of poverty in Central Java has a major contribution in reducing the poverty rate nationally, Indonesia. This poverty reduction could occur due to an increase in the regional aggregate government expenditure budget in Central Java. This study aimed to determine the effect of regional spending by function on poverty levels in districts/cities in Central Java using panel data regression. The model chosen is the Fixed Effect Model with the SUR approach. The results show that regional spending on health, education, and social protection negatively affects poverty levels. On the other hand, spending in the economic sector has a significant but positive impact on the poverty level. Meanwhile, spending on infrastructure does not show a significant effect on reducing poverty in Central Java. The government needs to maintain financial management in the health, education, and social assistance functions, as well as carry out further studies related to budget allocations in the economic and infrastructure sectors. Keywords: poverty, poverty reduction, government spending, fixed effect model

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the income and prosperity of coconut sugar craftsmen in Cilongok Sub-District, especially in Batuanten Village, as one of the areas with the highest number of penderes in Cilongok Sub-District. This study uses primary data from 53 respondents of coconut sugar craftsmen. To analyze the level of prosperity, it is by comparing the per capita income of the craftsman's family with the rural poverty line in Indonesia in 2021. Meanwhile, to analyze the inequality of income distribution, the Gini Ratio is used. The results showed that the life level of coconut sugar craftsmen was still below the rural poverty line. The level of income distribution of craftsmen seen from their main source of income and also from family income, is in a low level of inequality, but this inequality is in a low level of income so that it is vulnerable to shocks. Meanwhile, when viewed from other sources of income, the level of inequality is high. The implication is that to increase prosperity and equitable distribution of income for coconut sugar craftsmen, efforts are needed to develop other sources of family income. For this reason, the support of various competent parties is needed to help the craftsmen and their families increase family income and to maintain the sustainability of coconut sugar production. The novelty of this research is to analyze the condition of prosperity and income distribution of coconut sugar craftsmen in Batuanten Village in 2021 during the pandemic era.
