Abstract

Lack of media development used in the learning process in the classroom. This research aims to create a pop-up media book on theme 8 sub-theme 4 assisted by QR code for grade II elementary school. This study used the ADDIE model, but the research carried out only reached the development stage due to time and situation constraints. The trial subjects of this research consisted of two media experts, four material experts, and two practitioners. The data collection method in this research is a questionnaire method by providing an assessment sheet. This study was analyzed using the average formula. The results showed that the validity of the pop-up book media obtained from the average calculation was 4.99, with qualifications suitable for use in the learning process. The average practicality of the media that has been developed is 4.73 with practical qualifications and is very suitable for use in the learning process in grade II elementary school. So, the media developed as a pop-up book assisted by a Qr code learning theme 8 sub-theme 4 is valid and practical to use in the learning process for grade II elementary schools. The implications of this media can be used by the teacher in the learning process so that students feel more comfortable and easier to understand the material in the book and the material explained by the teacher in class.

Abstract

Student’s ability to read and write is important in obtaining an education. It's just that the reality on the ground shows that students' reading and writing skills are still in the low category. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the multiliteracy learning model used by the teacher on reading comprehension and creative writing skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with the method of exposure to facts. The population in this study was fifth-grade elementary school students, totaling 155 people. Sampling in the study was carried out by incidental sampling technique with a final sample size of 15 fifth-grade elementary school students. Data collection in the study was carried out using test and non-test techniques with research instruments such as observation sheets and tests of students' reading and writing abilities. The study results indicate that the correlation coefficient test indicates that the R-score is 0.377. The X variable affects two variables simultaneously: the X variable with Y1 and Y2. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the multiliteracy learning model has more influence on the ability to read comprehension than the creative writing ability of students. However, the effect is not so significant.

Abstract

The lack of media or supporting tools in teaching and learning activities and the lack of material presented make the learning process less meaningful. It can cause the learning process to be less effective, and students will become less familiar with the material being taught. This study aims to develop learning media in animated Powtoon videos based on a contextual approach to learning the circumference and area of a triangle for fourth-grade elementary school students. This research is development research that uses the ADDIE research model. The method used in this study is a questionnaire with the provision of an assessment sheet instrument given to 2 lecturers as material experts, two lecturers as media experts, two teachers as practitioners, and five students. The instrument used in this study is a rating scale. The data that has been obtained will then be analyzed using the Mean formula to get an average media validity score. The results of the average value of the validity of the Powtoon animation video media based on the contextual approach from material experts was 4.83 with very good qualifications, from media experts 4.83 with very good qualifications, from practitioners 4.83 with very good qualifications, and student response of 4.75 with very good qualifications. So it can be said that the Powtoon animation video learning media based on the contextual approach developed in learning the circumference and area of a triangle is valid and can be used in learning for fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

There are still many science learning activities that are less fun. Learning activities are still teacher center. It causes students to lack focus. It has an impact on science learning outcomes. This research aims to create an interactive E-LKPD based on guided inquiry on the science content of various styles of material and their use for fourth-grade elementary school students. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE model. The research subjects were six people consisting of two material experts, two media experts, and two practitioner experts. The subject of the product trial was fourth-grade elementary school students, totaling ten students. The method of collecting data is a questionnaire. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data analysis techniques are descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative. The study results are that the average assessment given by learning media experts is 47, so they get very good qualifications. The average assessment given by learning material experts is 46.5, so they get very good qualifications. The average assessment given by the teacher is 62.5, and the student response is 47.8, so the qualifications are very good. So, the Guided Inquiry-Based Interactive E-LKPD on Science Content is valid and feasible to use in the learning process. This research implies that teachers can use guided inquiry-based interactive E-LKPD in the learning process.

Abstract

The student’s curiosity, self-confidence, and interest in learning science are still low. This situation is also supported by the teacher's way of teaching, which is less attractive so that students feel that science lessons are so boring. This study analyzes the relationship between curiosity, self-confidence, and kinesthetic learning styles interested in learning science. The type of research conducted is the type of ex-post research. This population is 326 students. Determination of the sample in this study using a random sampling technique with the required number of samples, as many as 167 students. The method used in this research is the non-test method. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is inferential statistical analysis. This research shows that the significance of curiosity is 0.000 < 0.05, so curiosity has a significant positive relationship with interest in learning science. The significance of self-confidence is 0.024 <0.05, so self-confidence has a significant positive relationship with interest in learning science. The significance of the kinesthetic learning style (x3) is 0.047 < 0.05, so the kinesthetic learning style is significantly positively related to the interest in learning science. It was concluded that curiosity, self-confidence, and kinesthetic learning styles had a significant positive relationship with interest in learning science.
