Abstract

Fishery product processing industry consumes water reaches 20 m3 / ton of product produced depending on the technology used, the type of fish that is processed and the resulting product. The resulting liquid waste containing organic matter with loads up to 20 kg BOD / ton. The highest burden of waste which comes from the canning industry and the manufacture of fishmeal (fishmeal). New sewage processed aims to eliminate organic load, has not reached the preliminary total nitrogen contained therein. The content of nitrite and nitrate are still high will lower the quality of receiving water bodies. Fishery wastewater treatment technology with a combination of aerobic and anoxic processes be a good option developed for the allowance of nitrogen contained in the waste

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of waste from shrimp farming activities on the physical-chemical quality of coastal waters. The study was conducted over three months using the survey method. Measurement and water sampling is done directly (in situ) at three stations are: outlet pond; estuary and coastal waters. Water quality analysis conducted qualitative descriptive by comparing the results of water quality measurements the quality standard limits for the life of marine organisms and shrimp farming. The results showed that the activities of shrimp ponds in the study area have an impact high concentration of TSS in coastal waters. The analysis showed the value of TSS concentrations in coastal waters (average 132.6 ± 58.3 ppm) already exceed the quality standard limits for the life of marine organisms and shrimp farming that is 80 ppm. The results also showed that analysts COD concentration in coastal waters (average 85.69 ± 25.80 ppm) also exceeded the water quality standards for the life of marine organisms and shrimp farming activities is 80 ppm. The high concentration of COD allegedly coastal waters from waste chemicals on agricultural activities on land and domestic waste (settlements) around the coastal areas Banyuputih.

Abstract

One effort to the waste treatment is through the process of making fish silage. The main BAL cultures used in research adalah Lactobacillus-2 1BL plantarum and Lactobacillus plantarum 1A-2 obtained from the microbiology laboratory University School of Medicine Brawijaya. Waste tuna obtained from PT. Beeje Food Probolinggo. Treatment applied by varying the addition of lactic acid bacteria inoculum (0%, 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5% and 1% (v / w)), either as a single inoculum (L. plantarum 1BL- 2 or L. plantarum 1A-2) and as an inoculum mixture (L. 1BL plan-indigo-2 and 1A-2) .Parameter measured as good quality silage is: dry matter (% DM), ash (%), organic matter (% BO), silage temperature (0C), the percentage of damage to silage, pH, the amount of BAL (log 10 cfu). From this study showed that the use of Lactobacillus plantarum inoculum 1A-2 and Lactobacillus plantarum 1BL-2 with different variations and concentrations provides good enough influence on the quality of silage as feed for fish. Single inoculum 1A-2 produces a lower pH (3,67- 4,18) and lactic acid content of 0.30 to 0.34 mg mL-1. In all treatments, the level of damage is quite small (<5%). Loss of dry matter, with the addition of a single inoculum provide a relatively small number of loss is 1BL-2 (0.01 to 3.97%) and 1A-2 (0.31 to 5.18%). Inoculum concentration treatments do not provide a real difference to the quality of silage, making it the smallest concentration at 0.1% v / w which is recommended to be added to the silage-making.
