Journal of Education Action Research
Journal of Educational Action Research is concerned with exploring the dialogue between research and practice in educational settings. This journal publishes accounts of a range of action research and related studies, in education and across the professions, with the aim of making their outcomes widely available and exemplifying the variety of possible styles of reporting. It aims to establish and maintain a review of the literature of action research. It also provides a forum for dialogue on the methodological and epistemological issues, enabling different approaches to be subjected to critical reflection and analysis.

<![CDATA[This study aims to know the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes by applying the concrete media-based inquiry learning model in the third grade students of SD N 4 Kaliuntu in the academic year 2017/2018. This type of research was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was implemented in two cycles. The subjects of this study were 39 students in the third grade of SD N 4 Kaliuntu in the academic year of 2017/2018. The objects of this research were the concrete media-based inquiry learning model and the learning result of Mathematics. The data in this study were collected by the test method. Data were analyzed by quantitative and qualitative analysis method. The results showed that there was an increase on the students' mathematics learning outcomes. Based on the observation result, the average value of teacher activity was 23 with good category and the average score of student activity was 51 with enough category in cycle I and there was improvement in cycle II with the average of teacher activity iof 27,5 with very category good and average student activity score of 78,5 with very good category. In addition, based on data analysis, the average percentage of students' learning achievement in cycle I was 66,67% (medium category), increasing to 85% (high category) in cycle II. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry learning model in concrete media can improve the learning outcomes of Mathematics students of third grade in SD N 4 Kaliuntu in the academic year of 2017/2018.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research was to know the improvement of students’ learning outcomes of Indonesian subject in class IIB SD Undiksha Laboratory academic year 2017/2018 after applying model picture and picture assisted with audio visual media. The present research was a classroom action research held in 2 cycles. Every cycle consisted of the planning stages, the implementation, observation and evaluation and reflection. Methods used in collecting the data in this research was administering observation and test. In the first cycle, the average percentage of learning outcomes obtained was 82.67% and the average score of learning activities was 73.50 in which categorized as active, and teacher’s activity was categorized good with a score of 73.50. In second cycle data of learning result and activity of student and teacher had increased with 90,11% of average percentage of learning result and categorized very high, and students’ activity average score was 81,00 in which categorized active, teacher’s activity was categorized good with score equal to 81.00. Thus, it could be concluded that the application of picture and picture model assisted with audio-visual media could improve the students’ learning outcomes of Indonesian subject in class IIB SD Undiksha Laboratory academic year 2017/2018.]]>

<![CDATA[ This study aims to determine the performance of language teachers in teaching at SMK Negeri 30 Jakarta, by looking at student learning outcomes for language subjects (Indonesian, English, French) for students of class XI semester one of the school year 2017/2018 that have not reached the standard KKM determined by the school. This research is School Action Research (PTS) through the implementation of Scheduled Guidance. This research was carried out at 30 State Vocational Schools Jakarta and its implementation in two cycles, each cycle in the study included four steps namely (1) planning (2) implementation (acting), (3) observation (observing), (4) reflection (reflecting). Data were collected using observation sheets and analyzed using descriptive analysis. Based on research data and discussion, it can be concluded that the implementation of Guidance is scheduled for language teachers. proven to be able to improve the performance of language teachers in implementing learning for class XI students. The first semester of SMK Negeri 30 Jakarta in the 2017/2018 academic year, so that student learning outcomes improve well.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this class action research is to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Question and Answer Method with a variety of instructional media on improving student learning outcomes in PKN subjects specifically in Pancasila Ideology material in odd grade IV students of SD No. 1 in the 2015/2016 school year. The research subjects in this study were fourth grade students in the odd semester of the 2015/2016 academic year which amounted to 19 students. This research is a classroom action research conducted in three cycles.. Data on student learning outcomes are collected through learning outcomes tests. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that in the first cycle the number of students was 19 people, who graduated 6 people and those who did not pass 13 people, with an average score of 60.00. The percentage of graduation in the first cycle was 31.58% and the number of graduates was 68.42%, because it did not meet the KKM value standard (65) then the second study was conducted in the second cycle. Data obtained in cycle II with the number of students 19 people, who graduated 16 people and those who did not pass 3 people, with an average value of 66.05 and the percentage of graduation 84.21% and the non-graduation of 15.79%. Because it has not felt complete, the researcher conducted a research again in the third cycle, with the number of students being 19 people, students who passed 19 people with an average value of 68.42% and the percentage of completeness 100%.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was conducted in Dwijendra Gianyar High School for the X grade students in the even semester of the 2015/2016 academic year whose ability to abstract complex procedure texts was very far below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) value. The purpose of this class action research is to determine whether the ability to abstract complex procedure texts can be improved through the use of Inquiry learning models. The subjects of this study were the X grade students in the even semester of the academic year 2015/2016 Dwijendra Gianyar High School totaling 45 people. The data collection method is a test of learning outcomes. The data analysis method is descriptive. The results obtained from this study are that the ability to abstract complex procedure texts can be improved through the use of Inquiry learning models. This is evident from the results obtained initially at 63.64, in the first cycle to 72.64 and in the second cycle to 79.24. The conclusion obtained from this study is the ability to abstract complex procedure texts of class X students in the even semester of the 2015/2016 academic year Dwijendra Gianyar High School can be improved through the use of Inquiry learning model.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the improvement of the ability of students of class IVA Semester I in SDN1 Banjar Jawa, Lesson Year 2017/2018 on the subject of Civics after the application of cooperative learning model of Teams Games Tournament. This type of research is a classroom action research carried out in a prayer cycle. Each cycle consists of planning, execution, or evaluation. The subjects of the study were students of IVA SDN 1 Banjar Jawa, 41 people, 22 female students and 19 male students. The data of the research showed that in the first cycle students achievement classically reached 87.80% with an average score of 76.22 and the activity of active categorized students with a score of 30.25 and teacher activity categorized well with score 23. In period II Learning outcomes students increased to 90.24% with an average of 78.05 and very active categorized student activity with a score of 33.75 and teacher activity categorized very well with a score of 25. Thus, the application of cooperative learning model of Team Games Tournament type with assisted media card information can improve student learning outcomes grade IV SDN 1 Banjar Jawa on subjects Civics Lesson 2017/2018.]]>

<![CDATA[From the results of observation of researchers as principals, so far the teachers at SMK Jakarta 60 have data and information that the school environment is very rarely used by teachers as a source of learning. For this reason, through guidance and discussion with the KKG about professionalism in implementing learning by utilizing the school environment as a learning resource and believed to be able to improve the quality of learning in Jakarta State Vocational High School for the field of Tourism expertise. This school action research was carried out with the aim of increasing teacher professionalism in utilizing the school environment as a learning resource. This research was designed in the form of School Action Research which was planned to be carried out in two cycles, where each cycle was carried out in two meetings. The subjects of this study were teachers at SMK Jakarta 60 which consisted of six productive teachers and two adaptive and Normative teachers. The implementation of this study begins with collecting data and using the observation format, learning scenario assessment instruments and assessment instruments for learning implementation. Furthermore, the collected data was analyzed using descriptive analysis whose results were in the first cycle the average value obtained was 79.38, while in the second cycle the average value obtained was 84.88. So that it can be concluded that coaching and guidance through the teacher working group discussion approach can improve the professionalism of teachers in the use of the school environment as a learning resource for teachers in SMK 60 Jakarta is very effective.]]>

<![CDATA[This action research aimed to improve student’s scientific skills through implementation STEM and e-learning in physics learning. This research was conducted from 4 to 26 September 2018 and involving 27 students XI MIPA3 class of SMA Negeri Bali Mandara academic year 2018/2019. This research consist of two learning cycles which each cycle has four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Student’s scientific skills is the score achieved by the student after did some scientific activities in the class and observed by using student’s scientific skills assessment sheet. The result said that the score of each student’s scientific skill exceeded the research success criteria. On first learning cycles, there were 66% of the student’s scientific skill in the excellent category, 33% were in good category, and 11% were in enough category. Moreover, on second learning cycle, there were 44% in excellent category and 56% were in good category. The students also give a positive response to the implementation STEM and e-learning in physics learning. ]]>

<![CDATA[This study was aimed at finding out an increase in science learning achievement of the fourth grade students of SDN 4 Kaliuntu after implementing Audio Visual Aided - Numbered Head Together (NHT) type of Cooperative Learning model. This was a classroom action research that was done in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation/evaluation and reflection. The subjects were the fourth grade students of SDN 4 Kaliuntu. The data were collected using test. The data collected were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. From the data analysis in cycle I, the average grade students science learning achievement 72,10, after being converted into criterion-referenced evaluation, the students learning achievement falls into medium level. The result of the study in cycle II showed that there was an increase in learning achievement. The average grade student science learning achievement reached 83,65, falling into a high category. The results of this study showed that the implementation of audio visual-aided NHT type of Cooperative Learning model can increase the fourth grade students’ science learning achievement in SDN 4 Kaliuntu in the academic year 2017/2018.]]>
