Abstract

The phenomenon of Hepatitis B outbreak almost occurs in all developing countries including Indonesia. Hepatitis B infection can develop into acute or chronic. In the chronic stage, the infection can cause liver complications such as liver cirrhosis or liver cancer or even death. Mathematical modeling have been widely used to study the Hepatitis B virus infection. In this study a mathematical model is constructed by considering non-cytolytic immune response and pathogen absorption. The model is analyzed by determining the equilibrium point of the model, determining the existence of the equilibrium point, and analyzing the stability of the equilibrium point of the model with numerical simulation. In this case, numerical analysis is used to illustrate the conditions of infection-free and infected. Furthermore, the relation of the stability requirements of each equilibrium point is studied. The results show that there are two equilibrium points, uninfected and infected equilibrium point. Both of the uninfected equilibrium point and infected equilibrium point is asymptotically stable if a certain condition are met. Based on these results, the causes of a persistent infection are studied.

Abstract

The infection disease is still important problem in Indonesia, especially in eastern part of Indonesia. The problem of the bacterial resistance has resulted in increased morbidity, mortality, and costs of healthcare. This situation is therefore drives many researches on discovery for new antibiotics and novel bioactive compounds to combat multidrug resistant microbes, such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Staphylococcus spp., and Streptococcus spp.  The aim of this study is to know the development of the endophytic microorganisms. The endophytic bacteria provide vast potential in producing various novel natural products, including secondary metabolites similar to their hosts. The plant is one of host for the endophytic microorganisms reside. In Indonesia, that endophytic is used medicinally for treatment as well as from the host. The bioactive compound of endophytic microorganisms are used medicinally for treatment antibacterial, antiviral, anticancer, antioxidants, antidiabetic, and immunosuppressive. These showed that endophytic bacteria are promising source of new antibiotics against susceptible and resistant forms of various infectious microbes.

Abstract

Pulau Salah The name is also called Banjar Island is located in Banyuasin 1 Kelurahan Mariana Ilir Sungai Musi Sumatera Selatan. Area of Island Salah Name about 170 ha. Phytoplankton is one of the parameters of water fertility. Algae or phytoplankton can act as one ecological parameter that can describe the condition of a waters and is also an important biotic component in the metabolism of water bodies, since it is the primary link in the food chain of aquatic ecosystems. The purpose of the study was to provide information on the composition, abundance and diversity of phytoplankton in South Sumatra's Wrong Island. The research was conducted on Pulau Salah Nama, sampling was conducted in 5 stations. The study was conducted in August 2016, November 2016 and January 2017. The study found 3 classes of phytoplankton namely Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae and Cyanophyceae. The highest composition is found in the Bacillariophyceae class. The abundance of phytoplankton ranges from 4.2 × 10 3 cells / l to 2,34 × 10 5 cells / l. The phytoplankton diversity index in Pulau Salah Nama is 0-3 belonging to category 1 <H '<3 is said to be the stability of the moderate biota community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the physical properties of wall paint by utilizing teak leaf extract containing carotenoids as natural dyes. Exploration of teak leaf extract is done by boiling teak leaves using 350 ml of water until boiling and filtering with screen mash T100. As an adhesive used 75 grams of tapioca flour and quicklime mixture with a composition ratio of 1: 3, 1: 1 and 3: 1. The solvents used are aqudes and fillers are white cement and PVAc glue. In this study the process of making paint is done by mixing all ingredients from pigments, adhesives, and solvents until homogeneous. Testing of the physical properties of paint, carried out through the test density, viscosity, and adhesion. The results of this study indicate that the composition of the most optimum paint formulation is found in the variation of adhesive with a ratio of 3: 1 which results in a density value of 1.26 gr / ml, viscosity 0.26 poise and adhesion power of 95%.

Abstract

The study of zooplankton abundance as an indicator of water fertility in the Banjiran swamp in the Sedang Village of Suak Tapeh Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency was conducted in July to August 2017. The zooplankton sampling method was carried out at 3 (three) stations namely nebong kuning swamp station (station 1), poron swamp (station 2) and banan swamp (station 3) using purposive random sampling method. Data obtained in this study include data on zooplankton composition, zooplankton abundance index and zooplankton dominance index. While the data analysis was carried out descriptively. The results of zooplankton identification obtained during the study found 8 (eight) genera of zooplankton consisting of 3 (three) classes, namely Monogononta 1 genus, Mastigophora 5 genus and Ciliate 2 genus. The highest zooplankton abundance was found at station 1 kuning nebong swamp and banan swamp with an average value of 1.75 ind / L and 1,5 ind/L indicating the level of fertility of the floodwaters belongs to the mesotrophic category and the lowest at station 2 poron swamp with an average value of 0.92 ind / L indicating the level of fertility of the floodwaters in the Sedang village of Suak Tapeh Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency belongs to the oligotrophic category.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPainted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis) is one of the reptiles found in the coastal area of Pusong Seruway Island, Aceh Tamiang Regency. Currently, the existence of wild population of painted terrapin is threatened to extinction due to factors of nature and community activities. The local government of Aceh Tamiang Regency has already protected painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis) and listed it as protected species. This research is a descriptive exploratory survey to reveal the symptom and phenomenon of communities concerning their participation in the conservation of painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis). Result of research was based on survey conducted in three villages with samples of 100 respondents given questionnaire through purposive random sampling technique. Data of ethnic communities consisted of; Tamiang, Aceh, Javanese, Batak and Arabic. Ethnozoology of communities obtained value local knowledge of communities as a form of awareness on animal protection included; participation in the sea turtle hatchling release, reduction in the exploitation activity of utilizing painted terrapin eggs (Batagur borneoensis) as srikaya (food) and traditional medicine, willingness not to take or disturb the animal and if they find painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis), they will return the animal to its habitat or give it to the conservation team. A small part of the community joined in the assistance rescue group for painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis). Keywords: ethnozoology, conservation of painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Biomechanics is part of a scientific discipline that applies basic mechanical principles to explain the performance system in the human body (living things). One application in the human body is when doing push ups. Push up props are made to find out the relationship between arm length, mass, and angle to the force and torque. After the tool is assembled, the tool is experimented with mass manipulation variables 125 g; 290 g; 515 g and body length 20; 40; 60 cm. Based on the experimental results that the greater the arm's length, the greater the force and torque. The greater the mass of the object, the greater the force. Keywords: biomechanics, push-ups, torque, newton ABSTRAK Biomekanika merupakan bagian dari disiplin ilmu yang menerapkan prinsip dasar mekanik untuk menjelaskan sistem kinerja pada tubuh manusia (makhluk hidup). Salah satu penerapannya dalam tubuh manusia adalah ketika melakukan push up. Dibuatlah alat peraga push up untuk mengetahui hubungan antara panjang lengan, massa, dan sudut terhadap besar gaya dan torsi. Setelah alat terangkai, alat dieksperimenkan dengan variable manipulasi massa 125 g;290 g;515 g dan panjang lengan badan 20; 40; 60 cm. Berdasarkan hasil eksperimen bahwa semakin besar panjang lengan badan maka semakin besar pula gaya dan torsi. Abstract

This article  was the result of  a research of literature study sources and impact of microplastic in the marine environment. Plastic debris could make microplasric caused by ultraviolet and give some negative impact for marine environment.   Plastic debris in marine environment has come from industrial and fishing activities (human activities). All of marine environment in the world has contaminated by microplastic, microplastic will give negative impact for marine biota, recent study inform that turtle and fish have high microplastic content in both them.plastics industries should take responsibility for the end-of-life oftheir products by introducing plastic recycling or upgrading programmers.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study entitled: Potential of Sweet Corn (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.) Hybrid F1 Bonanza Varieties at Different Planting Spaces. Aim to get the potential results of sweet corn (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.) Hybrid variety of Bonanza F1 with optimal spacing (Maximum production). The study was conducted in December 2018 until April 2019, at the Plantation Site of Tanjung Baru Petai Village, Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir District (OI), South Sumatra Province. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD), 6 settings in 3 times required 6 x 3 = 18 experimental units. The area of land used is 0.5 ha with spacing of P1: 80 cm x 25 cm 1 seed / hole, P2: 75 cm x 25 cm 1 seed / hole, P3: 80 cm x 40 cm 2 seeds / hole, P4: 60 cm x 25 cm 1 seed / hole, P5: 75 cm x 40 cm 2 seeds / hole, P6: 75 cm x 50 cm 3 seeds / hole. The variables discussing sweet corn plants include tall plants (cm), stem diameter (mm), wide leaves (cm2), leaf length (cm), weighted fresh berangkasan (gr), ear length (cm), ear diameter (cm )), number of rows / ear, number of seeds / cob (seeds), weight of ear cob (gr), weight of ear without clobot (gr). The results showed that Bonanza F1 corn varieties proved very significant in plant height, stem diameter, ear length and number of rows per ear, significantly different in leaf width, leaf length, ear diameter, number of seeds per ear, and not significantly different from fresh weight berangkasan, heavy cob berklobot, the weight of the cob without a screw. P1 treatment with a spacing of 80 cm x 25 cm (1 seed / hole) provides the best potential and has the potential to increase growth, yield and components of Bonanza F1.  Keywords: Varieties, Bonanza F1 Hybrid Corn, spacing, growth, yield ABSTRAK Penelitian yang berjudul : Potensi   Hasil  Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.)    Hibrida Varietas Bonanza F1  Pada Jarak Tanam Berbeda.  Bertujuan untuk mendapatkan potensi   hasil  jagung manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.) Hibrida varietas Bonanza F1 dengan jarak tanam yang optimal (Produksi yang maksimal). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Desember  2018 sampai April 2019, bertempat di Lahan Perkebunan Desa Tanjung Baru Petai Kecamatan Tanjung Batu, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir (OI) Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), 6 perlakuan  diulang 3 kali sehingga terdapat 6 x 3 = 18 satuan percobaan. Luas lahan yang digunakan 0,5 ha dengan jarak tanam P1 : 80 cm x 25 cm 1biji /lubang, P2: 75 cm x 25 cm 1biji/lubang, P3: 80 cm x 40 cm 2biji/perlubang, P4: 60 cm x 25 cm 1 biji/lubang, P5: 75 cm x 40 cm 2 biji/lubang, P6: 75 cm x 50 cm 3 biji/lubang. Peubah yang diamati pada tanaman jagung manis meliputi  tinggi tanaman (cm), diameter pangkal batang (mm), luas daun (cm2),panjang daun (cm), berat segar berangkasan (gr), panjang tongkol (cm), diameter tongkol (cm), jumlah baris/tongkol , Jumlah biji/tongkol (biji), berat tongkol berkelobot (gr), Berat tongkol tanpa klobot (gr). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Varietas jagung Bonanza F1 berpengaruh sangat nyata pada  tinggi tanaman, diameter pangkal batang, panjang tongkol dan jumlah baris per tongkol, berbeda nyata pada luas daun, panjang daun, diameter tongkol, jumlah biji per tongkol, dan tidak berbeda nyata pada berat segar berangkasan, berat tongkol berklobot, berat tongkol tanpa klobot. Perlakuan  P1 dengan jarak tanam 80 cm x 25 cm (1 biji/lubang)  memberikan pengaruh terbaik  dan memiliki potensi meningkatkan pertumbuhan, hasil dan komponen hasil tanaman jagung manis Bonanza F1. Kata Kunci: Varietas,  Jagung Hibrida Bonanza F1, jarak tanam, Pertumbuhan, Hasil.

Abstract

The research objective of the Analysis of Use of FUNCTION on Job Data in Karakan Village was to publish the most important form of livelihood in Karakan village 06. The method used for this study was to use the FUNCTION method. the results derived from this study are that we can find out the percentage of the most work as livelihoods in Karakan village 06.
