Regional Structure in Java influenced by collision between Hindia-Australia plate and Eurasi plate activities. This collision formed mélange rock that now outcropped in Ciletuh, Sukabumi. Beside mélange rock are found, this collision form regional structure of in Java both under and also above surface.Under surface Structure generally expand from southern part of Java continent to Java Sea. This North-south Structure can be classified as Sunda Pattern. Other Regional Structural Geology can be seen on the surface of either direct field perception and also from satellite imagenary, for example Cimandiri fault, Baribius fault and Lembang fault. Cimandiri fault represent Meratus pattern while Baribis fault and lembang fault represent Java pattern.The forming of this three fault pattern also followed by volcanic activities along with continental plates collision activities. The Changes of volcanic belts in are related to the subduction belt changes or the changes of subduction zone angle. These changes also influence regional structural geology in West Java.

In order to optimize the ability of mineral resources which are utilized to give people a more prosperous life, we need not only an adequate mining management which is appropriate with the characteristic of the mineral resources but also a stocktaking of the existence of the mineral resources in a form of map information which is included in a work identification and a mapping of mineral potencies. Exploiting the mineral resources optimally by maximizing added values and minimizing negative impacts of mineral resources exploitation, will increase the PAD (Original Local income) and labour absorption. Therefore, research continuity is essential to create in order to collect the basic information of the mineral potencies, especially constructive and industrial deposits, hopefully it will be able to support the exploitation activity. Work identification and mapping of a mineral potency represents the most basic need now, considering that Cirebon Regency has to be ready to implement the Local Autonomy based on the constitution number 22 Year 1999st, especially in a mining field. The result of the work identification will become a basic and main force for the Mining and Energy Department in Cirebon Regency in order to promote its natural resources and to accelerate duties on mine workings building and supervision.

Pongkor area is known as one of the gold mine in Java. With the reserve at present and decreasing each year a new gold reserve must be discovered.Study on structures, especially fractures on Kubang Cicau vein is conducted to discover a possiblity of Kubang Civau vein continuity below level 500.Fractures analyses along the Kubang Cicau veins shows that there are development of intens fracture arround the main vein. Based on structural evaluation result it is recommended that areas between MW1 and MW2, around MW5 and on the south of MW7 can obtain a vein with a sufficient thickness at the level 450.

The research uses two kinds of microfossils for an aim to produce more precision, which Palinomorph as a main object and foraminifera as the support object. Pollen analysis has the main role in paleo-environment reconstruction, based on ecological characteristics plants association. Using palinomorph and foraminifera together in one research can only be conducted through sediments transition. Coals are included in the category, where coal samples were taken from Sungai Perian near Pulaubalang-Pamaluan formation boundary.From four samples that were analyzed (1R / claystone, 3R / claystone, 5R / claystone carbonaceous, and 7R / claystone) 53 genera and only 5 foraminifera species was founded. Both microfossils have yielded the same interpretation. The relative ages of the pollen indicator are from Middle-Early Miocene, and the relative ages of the foraminifera are from Late-Early Miocene. Based on the palinomorph and foraminifera data the research area was on regressions environment during the geologic period mentioned.

This study focuses on the petrography characteristics of the volcanic rocks in Mount Komba, Flores Sea, Nusa Tenggara Timur.Based on textural and mineralogical characteristics, volcanic rocks Mount Komba are composed of andesite-basaltic lava flows. It is chiefly porphyritic, intergranular, intersertal to glomeroporphyritic clots textures that contains variable proportion of plagioclase, pyroxene, biotite, hornblende and opaque oxide minerals phenocryst in very fine grained groundmass contains clinopyroxene, plagopclase laths, devitrified glass and opaque oxide minerals. Plagioclase phenocrysts show sieve-textured cores, opaque inclusions, compositional zoning, and skeletal melt pockets. Pyroxenes are strong zones with rims. Some are poikilitic. Biotite commonly exhibits a deep russet color parallel to its slow ray, the perpendicular direction being light to medium yellow brown. Some are altered to an asseblage of chlorite and finely granular opaque oxide minerals. Hornblende is perhaps slightly less abundant than biotite and occurs typically in euhedral to subhedralo crystals. It is pleochroic in shade of olive green and brownish yellow, rarely exhibiting a bright apple-green shade. Among the accessory minerals, opaque oxide minerals occurs as euhedral wedge-shape or blocky to slightly rounded, broken grains are common and also as a fine grainded alteration product associated with chlorite, formed from biotite and hornblende. Fresh glass is present, though in most cases the glass is devitrified.Some Mount Komba volcanic rocks studied exhibit varying degrees of propylitic or sericitic alteration. Feldspars plagioclase in particular, in most of the intensely hydrothermally altered Mount Komba volcanic rocks have been replaced by fine grained sericite, clay minerals, carbonate, chlorite, epidote and opaque oxide minerals.

Lithology at research area consist of sandstone, claystone and brecia which include to Halang Formation. Structure of geology is sinistral strike-slip fault with relative strike to southwest - northeast. Geomechanic analysis given a number of Rock Mass Rating and Slope Mass rating as follows: Rock mass rating is 55 to 66. RMR to foundation is 48 to 50. Description of class number is 3 (III), its mean fair rock.Slope mass rating given number of slope angle which is suggested to stable slope, as follows: According to Laubscher (1975) SMR is 55o. According to Hall (1985) SMR is 56.20o to 63.35o. According to Orr (1992) SMR is 64.49o to 71.71o . Environmental management is preventive effort of impact which attend with foundation design according to allowable bearing capacity and / or choice the architecture of building to safety. Monitoring can be conducted to condition of building (house, bridge, drainage etc.)

Igneous rocks forming will shows different chemical composition and mineralogy from one phase to another sharply or gradually. This research will study about characteristic of basement rock from Bukit Pagias granitoid complex for detail views. Bukit Pagias granitoid complex have different characteristic although its close each other. Its proved by petrographic analysis that shows different composition of mineralogy. From the color, its shows two kinds of granite i.e. gray granite/monzo-granite (Streckeisen, 1978) and red granite/granite (Streckeisen, 1978), in some part of the area, there are altered red granite and granite wash/weathering granite. The rocks in this area was fractured and filled with silica in part.

The research about study on geochemistry igneous rocks of Gunung Pongkor, Bogor, West Java. Basuki, et al., (1994) summarized the geology of the Pongkor areas consists of pyroclastic rocks (breccias and tuff) and lava flows and domes. Some problem to identifications which can in this research shall be as follows : How chemical composition and rocks afinity and also its evolution of exist in Mount Pongkor area have typical marking?.Samples of the Gunung Pongkor were extensively analyzed for major oxides and trace elements. Compositions of geochemical samples have been plotted and are used in drawing petrogenetic inferences. Igneous rocks Gunung Pongkor belong to the medium calc-alkalic to high Calc-alkalice suites (Peccerillo and Taylor; 1976), and have SiO2 contents in the range of 61,34-68,55%, middle and TiO2 and Al2O3 successively high (14,99-19,63%) and lower (< 0,50%); while K2O range from 1,90-2,55%. Other characteristic is the existence of some example of more enriched in Rb content and Ba. This Enrichment is also expressed by K2O content which relative higher. Than Ni element content and low Cr, and also Mg number ([Mg#]) less than 65, designate that its rock is not primitive, or equally experience of larger ones crystal fraksinasi from its mains magma.

Claystone is composed of clay and carbonaceous sandstone. The relatively age of claystone is Lower Miocene (N8 Zone) – Middle Miocene (N9 Zone). Based on quantitative analysis of benthic foraminifer fossils from 10 samples on Cikarang river line, there are 31 species and 480 individuals, meanwhile, from 6 samples of Cilegok river line, are found 20 species and 348 individuals. Percentages of benthic foraminifer fossils on Cikarang River are 94,8% Rotaliina, 2,71% Textulariina, 2,71% Milioliina. Cilegok river has 98,28% Rotaliina, 0% Textulariina, 1,72% Miloliina.The interpretation of Paleoecology was done by using fossil assemblages, Diversity Index α Fisher and Triangular Plot Murray. Based on those methods, paleoecology of claystone of Jatiluhur Formation of Cileungsi area was Normal Marine Lagoons.

Location of research area was in Lipon-Gendang, Sungai Durian District, Kotabaru Residence, Kalimantan Selatan Province, there were into Tanjung Formation which had Coal Bearing Formation.Focused of subject this research was quality and potential of coal, and those have been coal distribution from several coal seam, resources prediction with used USGS methode, and analysis quality of coal from field research sample.There had been potential enough for coal from result of research. And that proved with have four seam were thickly between 0,2 – 3 m, and predicted of resources were 1.403.550 ton, and then quality of coal : calory average 5419,46 cal/gr and sulfur average 1,47 %.
