Abstract

Data Compression can save some storage space and accelerate data transfer. Among many compression algorithm, Run Length Encoding (RLE) is a simple and fast algorithm. RLE can be used to compress many types of data. However, RLE is not very effective for image lossless compression because there are many little differences between neighboring pixels. This research proposes a new lossless compression algorithm called YRL that improve RLE using the idea of Relative Encoding. YRL can treat the value of neighboring pixels as the same value by saving those little differences / relative value separately. The test done by using various standard image test shows that YRL have an average compression ratio of 75.805% for 24-bit bitmap and 82.237% for 8-bit bitmap while RLE have an average compression ratio of 100.847% for 24-bit bitmap and 97.713% for 8-bit bitmap.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus adalah suatu penyakit gangguan kesehatan di mana kadar gula dalam darah seseorang menjadi tinggi karena kekurangan insulin atau reseptor insulin tidak berfungsi baik. Banyak orang awalnya tidak tahu bahwa mereka menderita diabetes mellitus, di negara-negara Asia lebih dari 50 persen (bahkan ada yang mencapai 85 persen) penderita diabetes baru mengetahui diri mereka mengidap diabetes setelah mengalami komplikasi di berbagai organ tubuh (Tandra Hans, 2007). Ketidaktahuan ini disebabkan karena minimnya informasi mengenai diabetes, gejala dan minimnya tenaga dokter spesialis diabetes. Sistem pakar adalah program komputer yang menirukan penalaran seorang pakar dengan keahlian pada suatu wilayah pengetahuan tertentu (Turban, 1995). Sistem pakar mencoba mencari solusi, memberikan saran atau kesimpulan yang konsisten terhadap permasalahan yang ditemukannya.   Penulis berhasil mengimplementasikan sebuah sistem  pakar berbasis web yang dapat mengatasi nilai derajat kepercayaan atau faktor kepastian data yang diperoleh dari hasil konsultasi dengan pasien melalui metode certainty factor. Harapan penulis, sistem ini dapat membantu dokter atau masyarakat awam sekalipun dalam mengambil keputusan ketika mendiagnosa penyakit diabetes mellitus. Kata Kunci : Sistem Pakar, Certainty Factor

Abstract

The development of technology has shown significant progress, especially in application architecture design pattern. Model View Presenter (MVP) pattern is one of the most important pattern used for extracting business logic outside of User Interface (UI) elements and by that enabling unit test without the need testing tools, and specifically geared towards for page event model in ASP.NET. Together with MVP, Object Relational Mapping (ORM) NHibernate is implemented to build a web base application. ORM is a technique to map an object to a database. It can be concluded that the implementation MVP and ORM to build a web base application resulting a well-performed and easily maintained application as well as it effectiveness when performing unit test, and also a clear separation layer between model, view, presenter.

Abstract

The growth of information technology is increasing lately. People can get the actual information from websites. The combination between website and expert system will help people to make an application that can think like an expert and spread it all around the world using the internet. The technology can be used to solve the availability problem of expert nutrient in Indonesia. The application was developed using forward chaining method as the inference system. It will make the application work like a nutrient expert, which asks the patient from general to specified symptoms. The knowledge based of the application was collected from trusted resources like nutrient experts and nutrient books. The application was tested by the nutrient expert. The result shows that the application can work properly like an expert.

Abstract

Masalah yang dihadapi dalam Tugas Akhir ini adalah bagaimana mengatur faselalu lintas supaya tidak terjadi tabrakan. Permasalahan ini akan diselesaikan denganmenggunakan pendekatan teori graf. Untuk melakukan pemecahan terhadap masalahdiatas adalah dengan membangun aplikasi pengaturan fase lalu lintas denganmenggunakan pendekatan teori graf dengan metode graf kesesuaian. Untukmenangani masalah grafis dilakukan perhitungan sudut dengan menggunakan rumustrigonometri, disamping itu juga menggunakan rumus untuk mencari persamaangaris dan titik potong pada dua garis.

Abstract

This paper discusses the process of developing an education game application using Child Centered Design (CCD) approach. This approach is chosen because the method is suitable for targeted users, preschool students range from 4 to 6 years.   The processes of developing the applications consist four stages: the specification of the use of the application, the specification of application requirements, design and application development, and evaluations. Children as the main respondent in this research play an important role in three stages: determining the specifications of the use of the application, the specification of application requirements, and evaluation of applications. Seventy three children are participated in this research. Observation and discussion among the children are used to collect data and information. An observation was conducted to determine the activity and behavior of children, while the discussion method conducted to gather information and opinions of children. In particular, this research involves the interviewer and evaluators who understand the behavior of children and able to communicate with children.

Abstract

Sistem pakar untuk diagnosis penyakit dibangun dengan menerapkan metode certainty factor.  Sistem tersebut memberikan hasil berupa kemungkinan penyakit yang dialami, prosentase keyakinan, serta solusi pengobatan berdasarkan fakta-fakta dan nilai keyakinan yang diberikan oleh pengguna dalam menjawab pertanyaan selama sesi konsultasi ketika menggunakan sistem ini.  Implementasi sistem ini digunakan untuk mengevaluasi proses akuisisi pengetahuan dalam membangun basis pengetahuan.

Abstract

Beam notation is a notation that is officially used in the whole world as an intermediary to do musical communication. In Indonesia, notation that is more absorbed and mostly easy to learn autodidactly is numbered notation, while beam notation is more difficult to learn and tend to be avioded. Traditionally, beam notation can be converted to numbered notation by fully relying on human skills and abilities. It is obvious that the conversion process would require much time and energy. Therefore, a new conversion application is developed to cope the conversion from beam notation into numbered notation specally for mixed choir, with representated in a XML file called MusicXML. MusicXML is a representation of beam notation that are more easily to be compressed and has a universal characteristic, can be opened in a wide range of applications. The purpose of this research was to design a fast, reliable and accurate application to convert beam notation into numbered notation for mixed choir which consist of multiple voice parts, according to the prevailing theory of music. Abstract

Suara manusia antara individu yang satu dengan yang lain memiliki perbedaan.Namun demikian, dalam perbedaan-perbadaan tersebut masih terdapat adanya kesamaanantara suara pria yang satu dengan pria yang lain dan atara wanita yang satu denganwanita yang lain. Melalui Aplikasi ini, penulis mencoba melakukan penelitian untukmengidentifikasi suara manusia yang sudah disimpan dalam file WAV, sehingga diketahuijenis kelamin pemilik suara tersebut pria atau wanita. Proses identifikasi yang dilakukanberdasarkan frekuensi suara ini hanya diberlakukan untuk suara orang dewasa. Prosespembandingan suara akan dilakukan berdasarkan nilai discrete file suara yang akan dicaridengan algoritna Discrete Fourier Transform dalam frekuensi 50 - 1000 Hz. Sedangkanuntuk menggolongkan jenis kelamin akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodeklasifikasi K-Nearest Neighbor.

Abstract

This research implemented Dijkstra algorithm to summarize text documents. To run Dijkstra algorithm, we represented sentence as a vertex and the similarity between sentences as an edge, where the result of the summarization process was the shortest path of Dijkstra calculation. The summarization processes were conducted by utilizing WordNet database and without WordNet database. Our experiment showed that without WordNet the result was better than using WordNet. Using WordNet, the system could obtain 80% relevant sentences. While without WordNet, the system could obtain about 90% of relevant sentences.
