Abstract

Introduction: Chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy experience various physical and mental problems that contribute to psychological disorders such as stress and anxiety. It can affect the mental and physical components of poor quality of life. A stress ball is one of the therapies that is considered the cheapest and easiest to use for dealing with stress and anxiety. Purpose: To determine the effect of Stress Ball on Stress and Anxiety in hemodialysis patients. Methods: The research design is a quasi-experimental one-group pre and post-test. The research sample was 34 hemodialysis patients members of Komunitas Pasien Cuci Darah Indonesia Jawa Barat (KCPDI West Java) with consecutive sampling techniques. Bivariate analysis using paired t-test. Respondents were asked to squeeze a stress ball for approximately 20-30 minutes in eight successive dialysis sessions. The instruments used are the Distress thermometer (DT) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Results: Stress ball intervention affects stress and anxiety levels in HD patients with each P-value of 0.000. The average difference between pre-test and post-test stress levels is 1.55 with the at-count value of 6.95 > t-table 2.03. At the same time, the difference between the average pre-test and post-test anxiety levels is 5.74 with an at-count value of 6.25> t-table 2.03. Conclusion: Stress ball has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety levels in hemodialysis patients. Suggestion: Stress balls can be non-pharmacological therapy to reduce stress and anxiety problems for hemodialysis patients.

Aims: Women diagnosed with breast cancer suffer from significant psychological distress, mainly depression and anxiety, fatigue, and sleep disturbance. The effects of music therapy and progressive muscle relaxation training on the quantity and quality of sleep, as well as on levels of anxiety and fatigue, in patients undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the effects of MUSKAR-T (combination of music therapy and progressive muscle relaxation training) on sleep quality, anxiety, and fatigue in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: The study employed a two-group, pre- and post-test experimental design. Patients in the intervention group had two sessions of 30-minutes of music therapy and progressive muscular relaxation per day for five days prior to hospital discharge. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), State Trait Anxiety Index (STAI), and Cancer-related Fatigue Assessment (C-RAFA) were used to evaluate the results (CFS). Anxiety, tiredness, and sleep quality were measured and compared between groups using a univariate approach that also took into account the effects of group, time, and the interaction of group and time. Results: This study had 100 participants, 50 in the intervention group and 50 in the control group. The majority of respondents were married (70 percent), unemployed (24 percent), had completed at least middle school (68 percent), were not menopausal (76 percent), and had illness at stage III (46 percent ). The intervention group’s anxiety, fatigure, and sleep quality scores fell to 76.1112.42, 45.1214.76, and 4.363.36 on the day preceding hospital discharge. Conclusions: The culturally-based music therapy and progressive muscle relaxation effective for reducing anxiety, fatigue, and enhancing the quality of sleep in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Abstract

Aims: The development of technology to facilitate the management of schizophrenia is still very limited so that many people don’t know the benefits and efficacy of using technology as an intervention in schizophrenia patients. Objective:This literature review aimed to describe and determine the efficacy and benefits of using the technology used in schizophrenia patients. Method: The method used was a narrative review by combining articles from the PubMed, EbscoHost, Taylor and Francis, and Google Shcolar databases. The keywords used were “adults” OR “middle aged” AND “telenursing” OR “telemedicine” OR “telehealth” AND “schizophrenia patient”. Result: From these 6 articles, it was founde that there were several perceived benefits of using technology as an additional intervention, such as medication adherence, involvement in recovery and symptom control, and early detection of cognitive function in schizophrenic patients. Conclusion: Interventions using technology such as telehealth, telenursing, and telemedicine can be supportive interventions for the care of schizophrenic patients, especially to assist recovery or rehabilitation. Nursing Implications: The existence of this study can provide an overview to nurses regarding what technology-based support interventions can be given to schizophrenic patients along with their benefits.

Methods:  Research Methods: Quasi-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. Quasi-experimental research is a form of experimental research that does not have a control group (Notoatmodjo, 2018). Results:  It is known that the BSE Correlation value is 0.923 with a p-value of 0.000, so it can be said that there is a relationship between the Pre-Test Conscious and Post-Test Conscious variables. And the Breast Cancer Correlation is 0.668 with a p-value of 0.000, so it can be said that there is a relationship between the variables of Pre-test for breast cancer and Post-test for breast cancer. Conclusion:  There is a relationship between the frequency of conscious measurement with breast cancer before and after the intervention with a p value of 0.000

Abstract

Aims: To determine the Effectiveness of Mgso4 Administration against Eclampsia Prevention in severe pre-eclampsia in RSIA Resti Mulya in 2022. Methods:  This study used the Quasy Experimental quantitative method, with a retrospective approach. The relationship between the two variables in this study was tested using the dependent paired t-test data analysis technique. The population of this study was all mothers who were severely eclampsia and received MgSo4 therapy as many as 43 respondents, using a total sampling of which all populations were made respondents. Results:  Frequency distribution of characteristics of respondents aged 30.8 years with a gestational age of 37.6 weeks with an obese Body Mass Index (30-39.5) of 39.5%, having a history of peer disease of 81.4%, and the number of multipara childbirth as much as 69.8%. Differences in the prevention of eclampsia (blood pressure and urine protein) in severe pre-eclampsia before and after administration of MgSo4, namely Sistol values of 163.8 vs 121.4. Diastole pressure value of 105.5 vs 80.4. urine protein 1.52. There is the effectiveness of mgso4 administration against the Prevention of eclampsia in severe pre-eclampsia at RSIA Resti Mulya in 2022 with a p-value value: 0.000. Conclusion:  The results of this study are that the administration of MgSo4 effectively prevents eclampsia in severe pre-eclampsia at RSIA Resti Mulya in 2022. Thus, it is expected to refer to the importance of giving MgSo4 to mothers with pre-eclampsia.
