Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) states that anemia is a serious global public health problem that especially affects women of childbearing age and pregnant women. The prevalence of anemia in women of childbearing age is 29.9%, in pregnant women 36.5%, in non-pregnant women 29.6%. Prevalence varies widely between countries and regions. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving beetroot juice with the prevention of anemia in third trimester pregnant women. The research design used One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, namely one experimental research group by doing lactation massage. The population is 35 people. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sample, with sampling using certain criteria, and the sample in this study amounted to 12 people. Data analysis is normality test, Paired Sample TTest test. The results showed that after the Shapiro Wilk test the results were obtained with a pretest with a value of .091 and a posttest with a value of .134, which means that the value of the results of Shapiro Wilk is normally distributed, that is > 0.05, and there is an effect of giving beetroot juice with the prevention of anemia in mothers. third trimester pregnant with pre_post statistical results obtained Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05. So the conclusion is that there is an effect of increasing hemoglobin levels before and after being given beetroot juice to pregnant women in the third trimester. It is recommended for pregnant women in the third trimester to consume beetroot juice to prevent anemia.

Abstract

The moon flower herb is a plant species known and used as traditional medicine in Indonesia for generations. In previous studies it was known that moonflower (Tithonia diversifolia (Hemsl) Gray) has antihyperglycemic, antidiabetic, antimicrobial and antimalarial effects, and it is known that the roots, stems, leaves and essential oil of moonflower (Tithonia diversifolia (Hemsl) Gray) contain alkaloids, compounds phenolics, steroids, saponins and flavonoids. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of ethylacetate extract of moonflower herb against Candida albicans and Microsporum canis. This research was carried out in several stages, starting with the process of collecting and processing samples, testing the characteristics of simplicia, maceration of the ethylacetate extract of the moonflower herb (Tithonia diversifolia (Hemsl) Grey), testing Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and testing antifungal activity. The results of the research that the moon flower herb has a water content of about 10.2%. Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) test of moonflower herbs on ethyl acetate extract containing polyphenolic compounds, steroids and alkaloids. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of ethylacetate extract of moonflower herb against Candida albicans ATCC 10231 was at a concentration of 200 mg/mL, ie 3.00 mm, while in Microsporum canis it was found at a concentration of 300 mg/mL. which is equal to 13.21mm.

Abstract

Perineal wounds is an injury to the perineum that occurs when the baby is born either spontaneously or using tools or procedures. Perineal wound care aims to prevent infection, increase comfort and prepare for healing. The use of traditional methods is still carried out by the Indonesian people in the treatment of perineal wounds by making antiseptic decoctions such as binahong leaves and red betel leaves. Several studies have stated that the active content in binahong leaves can accelerate the wound healing process. Likewise with betel leaf. However, it is not known which one is more effective between the two. This literature study aims to determine the effectiveness of binahong leaf decoction and red betel leaf decoction on the perineal wound healing process in postpartum mothers. Based on the data used to collect information, Mendelay, PubMed, Science Direct and Google Scholar with the keywords Binahong Leaf Perineal Wound Healing, Red Betel Leaf and Postpartum Perineal Wounds. The results showed that presenting red betel leaf was more effective for healing perineal wounds with binahong leaves. Perineal wound healing time using red betel leaf decoction is 4-5 days on average, while binahong leaves are 6-7 days on average.

Abstract

Emergency Room is the main access to get treatment at the hospital, has a very important role in treating patients with various levels of emergency. Response Time is the speed in handling patients, calculated from the time the patient arrives until the treatment is carried out. In carrying out special health services in the emergency department, one of the indicators that must be achieved is handling the right response time to achieve the expected results. The standard response for emergency patients must be served no later than 5 (five) minutes after arriving at the emergency department. This research method is a cross sectional study to determine the relationship between nurses' knowledge and response time in the Emergency Installation of the Porsea Regional Hospital, Toba Regency, which was carried out in February 2022 on 17 emergency room nurses at Porsea Regional General Hospital using a total sampling technique. The results of the study found that there was a relationship between Nurse Knowledge Levels and Response Time in the Emergency Room using the Chi-Square test, p value = 0.007, p value < (0.05). So it can be concluded Ha, which means that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses and response time in the ER at the Porsea Regional Hospital in 2022. It is expected that nurses will continue to improve their skills/insights and knowledge by optimizing in providing services in the form of comprehensive nursing actions.
