Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the performance relationship, analyze thecontribution, and find out how long the shock period of each variable is; (1) BOPO, (2) FDR, (3)ROA, and (4) ROE against Net Operating Margin at Bank NTB Syariah. This study uses theTheory of Good Corporate Governance approach, then the data is processed using the VARVECM and ECM methods on the EViews 12 application. There are two analysis results in thisstudy, the first through the VAR-VECM analysis and the second through the ECM, the results ofthe VAR-VECM test in the equation model have not found a balance both in the long and shortterm, but on the other hand there are shocks experienced by the independent variables. NOMthrough the dependent variables BOPO, FDR, ROA, and ROE worth 60.93%, 9.83%, 7.54%, and4.74%. While the response level of the BOPO variable was positively responsive by 0.012992 bythe NOM variable and was stable in period 25, for other variables such as FDR, ROA, and ROEthe response fluctuated and did not experience value stability. In contrast to the results of theECM test where in this test the variables that have a long-term effect are the BOPO, ROA, andROE variables with the probability values of 0.000, 0.0081, and 0.0375 while for the short-termperiod the variables that have an effect are only the BOPO variable with a probability value that isworth 0.0341

Abstract

This research aims to empirically examine the institutional quality variable as a moderatingvariable between macroeconomic stability and the development of global Islamic finance andthe indicators of global sukuk instruments. This is to prove previous research which states thatmacroeconomic stability influences financial developments. Macroeconomic stability alsoinfluences the development of the sukuk market. There is empirical research that states thatinstitutional quality moderate financial developments, so research is directed at examininginstitutional quality as a moderator of macroeconomic stability in the development of the globalsukuk market. Exploratory quantitative research method, using secondary data panel datamodels in the form of development of sukuk with proxies for issuance of sukuk in countriesthat are active in issuing sukuk and registered on the International Islamic Financial Market(IIFM), and institutional quality comes from WGI -BI. The results of the analysis show that thequality of institutions moderates the macroeconomic stability of the development of sukuk, especially on the exchange rate and inflation indicators. While the GDPP moderation test forthe development of sukuk there is no evidence that institutional quality is a moderating variable. This research contributes empirically to the limitations of previous research which analyzedmacroeconomic stability without including the variable quality of government institutionswhich can be used as a basis for making decisions for investors in investing, regulators in makingrules, and issuers when issuing sukuk.

The results of the data processing using the VECM method showed several findings, namely: the variables of third-party funds, Islamic banking financing, and the pandemic had a negative effect and total Islamic banking assets had a positive effect on economic growth for a long time. Meanwhile, the results of the IRF test show that the response to economic growth in responding to shocks to these variables was unstable for 60 periods with contributions from third-party funds (4%), financing (7%), total Islamic banking assets (24%) and pandemics (6%).

Abstract

Economic development in a country or region is essentially aimed at improving the welfare of its inhabitants. In this study using panel data analysis method in the form of a cross-section of 34 provinces in Indonesia with a time-series from 2010-2020. Followed by using quantitative analysis methods with the Eviews 10 analysis tool. The test results of the specification model state that FEM (Fixed Effect Model) is the best choice model to use. seen from all independent variables, only PMDN variable has a positive influence on economic growth. However, for the variables of Islamic Banking Financing, PMA Inflation and LFPR have a negative direction on Indonesia's economic growth. Thus, in the context of increasing economic growth, it can be ensured that the presence of several indicators such as a quality workforce and more productive investment coupled with more attention to the socialization of Islamic banking to the public means that economic growth in Indonesia is increasing and continues to increase.

Abstract

Problem financing arises because of the customer's failure to fulfill his obligations. So it has an impact on the profitability of the bank. The research objective is to examine factors that affect non-performing loans at Islamic commercial banks. These factors include, operating costs to operating income, interest rates/ BI Rate, Financing to Deposit Ratio, and the inflation. The sample used in this study wasIslamic commercial banks exchange 2011-2020. Data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression. The study results inform an influence between the predictor variables and the response variables based on functions in the model. The variables that affect non-performing loans significantly only Operating Cost to Operating Income (BOPO). And 3 other variables Inflation, BI Rate, FDR have no significant effect on NPF, but simultaneously all dependent variables affect the Independent variable. Therefore banking authorities need to control Operating Cost to Operating Income so as not to disturb the profitability.

Abstract

Globally, more than 4.3 million confirmed cases and more than 2,90,000 fatalities occurred due to the COVID-19 disease outbreak, which profoundly affected the entire planet. This has also fanned fears of a forthcoming economic collapse and recession. This type of event is referred to as a "black swan" because it adds unexpected and unique aspects to the economic environment and has the potential to start a chain of unfavourable reactions and market disruptions. As a result of social isolation, self-isolation, and travel restrictions, there has been a drop in the labour force across all economic sectors, resulting in the loss of several jobs. In addition, due to the closing of schools, demand for commodities and manufactured goods has decreased. On the other hand, the need for medical supplies is expanding rapidly. Through the end of 2019, the five primary economic sectors generated money and employment. Early in 2020, however, these industries encountered a major economic and employment crisis due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The COVID-19 outbreak has greatly affected the economic and social conditions of the nation, particularly regarding these five core economic activities. This study's objective is to examine the effects of COVID-19 on the agriculture, manufacturing, construction, services, mining and quarrying sectors. To achieve this purpose, this study employed descriptive analysis to examine performance data encompassing 10 years (2012 - 2021). The findings indicate that the COVID-19 epidemic has a substantial and negative impact on the Malaysian economy.

Abstract

This paper studies and observes Malaysian ten years of technology expenditure. The analysis of Malaysia's technological growth over ten years is one of the topics covered in this discussion. In addition, factors that contribute to the state of technology are now an important problem in this working paper and discussed how to solve problems arising from Islamic perspectives. This is because, as knowledgeable Muslims, we need to be sensitive and efficient in developing the economy. Not only that, but we are also responsible for declaring that not from a technological point of view alone needs to be taken heavily on the contrary from other aspects, such as commerce that gets a boost in Islam needs to be emphasised. This is to form a community or a developed country along with the development of the world today.

Abstract

One of the fundamental obligations of every Muslim is to pay Zakat. The asnaf group may receive assistance from Zakat payments and income distribution to survive financial difficulties. This article aims to describe how Malaysian Zakat income and distribution function. The significance of Zakat donations to the community for its economic development is discussed in the first paragraph of this article. The history of the Zakat contribution controversy and Sharia-based theory are then covered. The study's conclusion indicates an imbalance in the distribution of Zakat by the state in Malaysia based on the country's poverty rate. In order to ensure that Zakat's contribution to the community is effective, the article underlines the necessity for a thorough action plan to ensure that no Muslim group is overlooked or marginalised. To fulfil their different obligations and more effectively and efficiently meet the responsibility to donate Zakat, every Muslim community member must honestly collaborate and adhere to the detailed action plan.
