Abstract

The variation of the seed size in each species and individuals might be from of difference species adaptation for  a difference environment. This difference may also arise from the constraints of limited formation of seed size. The use of adaptive ciltivars on the growth environment is very influential on the succes in the farm field. This research was aimed to find the adaptation of phase and size seed of two cultivars of soybeans in Jatinangor and Cikajang. This research was held in Jatinangor (Sumedang regency) and Cikajang (Garut regency) from April to July 2016. The design that used in this research was Randomized Block Design (RBD) and Duncan at 5% rate. Improved cultivars that tested in this research were placed at Grobogan and Anjasmoro which were repeated 5 times. The results of experiment showed that adaptation of size seed showed of 100 grains and large seeds. The low temperature condition can increase of variability of seed size. Heterogeneity of environment can not sustain the size of soybean seed. Genetic and environment factors influence significantly for weight of 100 grains and seed size Grobogan in Jatinangor. The weight of 100 grains Grobogan in Jatinangor and Cikajang haved a greater than Anjasmoro. Environmental factors influence yield of soybean, weight of 100 grains of cultivars in Cikajang haved a greater than Jatinangor caused by the seed size.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted at Village Margamulya, Pangalengan, Bandung regency, West java. Trial sites located at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level, with an average rainfall of 2.186,10 mm/year, precipitation type C3 acording toOldeman (1975). The research was conducted to find the interaction of various doses of NPK (16:16:16) fertilizer and plant spacing on growth and yield of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Lebat-3 cultivars. The experiment using an experimental method Randomized Block Design consist of two factors: dose of NPK (16:16:16)  (p) of 3 levels  p1 = 250 kg/ha, p2 = 350 kg/ha, and p3 = 450 kg/ha and plant spacing (t) of 3 levels    t1 = 40 x 60 cm, t2 = 40 x 70 cm, t3 = 40 x 70 cm, repeated three times, there ware 27 experimental plots. The results showed there way an interaction on the parameters of weight pods per plot which produces weight 5.08 kg / plot equivalent to 12.7 ton/ha. Dosage of fertilizer NPK (16:16:16) 450 Kg/ha gave better  results on showed that on plant height, weight of pods per plant.

Abstract

Broccoli is one of the prospective horticultural products to be developed, beside it has a good nutrition for health, broccoli also hasan interesting physical form. Broccoli is generally preferred by consumers of modern market, sold as fresh with adjust table size with consumer demand. On the other hand, broccoli has aperishable nature, with an unique morphological characteristics. Modern market demand requires a certainspec for broccoli, it cause farmers had tochange the way they do in their  business, so that their products are well received by the modern market. There fore, this study aims to determine the entrepreneurial orientation offarmersso it canmeet the demand ofbroccolito themodernmarket. Broccoli’s Farmer has a high entrepreneurial spirit, as seen from the orientation of farmers in view the future. Farmers see the modern market as an alternative market with a huge potential market in the future, so that the farmers do a variety of creative effort to make their business performance more efficiently so it can serve the  modern market better. The method usedinthisstudyis thecase studies method, theanalysis techniqueused isdescriptive qualitativeanalysis. Research shows that broccoli farmers as an entrepreneur has an unique characteristics and valuesin running their business. Broccoli farmes entrepreneurial orientation in Kecamatan Lembang emphasizes the creation of business innovation, always doing to do the improvement process of their supply chain product, namely with implementing strategies for business collaboration with other actors in the broccoli supply chain. They also always proactivein receivinga request from the modern market as an alternative market for their business, so their businesses can be more competitive and be able to runcontinuously.

Abstract

The research was conducted in experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture Unwim which has a place to stay 850 mdpl. This study aims to determine the effective timing of male pruning to increase yield components and sweet corn yield. The environmental plan used is a collection of groups consisting of: A = Without pruning B = Pruning 7 days after pollination C = Pruning 14 days after pollinationD = Pruning 21 days after pollination. The result of the research showed that the male flower pruning after pollination of the effect on corn yield and yield components such as Weight, Length and Diameter of Tonggol both without and with kelobot. Sweet corn plants that are not exposed to male flower pruning have the same result and yield components as the plants that are trimmed by their male flowers

Abstract

The research aims to obtain varieties of red beans was tolerant oflow light intensity under this shade.The research implemented in the experimental garden UNWIM BojongSeungit campus, from late June to early September 2016, with a height of 850 meters above sea level and precipitation type C (Dampish ).The experimental design used was split plot design consisting of 16 treatments and 4 Deuteronomy .Treatment consists of two levels : size of the shade (P), p0 = 0%Shade, p1 = 50% Shade, p2 = 65% Shade, p3 = 75%Shade, and varieties (v), v1 = Garut and v2 = Tasik.The results of this experiment showed the effect of growth and different results in higher plants in shade 65% and 0% in the varieties of Garut and Tasik age 35 days after planting, number of leaves per plant and the number of branches per plant at 28 days after planting in the shade of 75%, the number of pods contents per plant and the number of pods per plant in the shade of 0% whereas 50% shade highest yield of dry grain weight per plant, weight of 100 grains of seed varieties Garut and percentage (%) number of pods per plant were highest in varieties Tasik  Varieties of Garut and Tasik are sensitive to shade 75%, moderate to 65% shade and still tolerant to shade 50%.

Abstract

Acreage and production of tea plant in Purwakarta decreased compared to previous years. Price of tea leaf  is less favorable making farmers less eager to continue to pursue this commodity. Sindangpanon farmer group seeks to increase the value added tea leaf to process into dry tea, but various obstacles make this business has not developed. The purpose of this study was to: 1) analyze the problems faced by farmers' groups in running the business processing tea leaf; 2) analyze the impact of efforts to increase the capacity of farmer groups to produce competitive products. This study is an action research and designed with a qualitative design. Informants in this study is the management and members of farmer groups Sindangpanon well as the staff of the Department of Agriculture, Plantation and forestry, PurwakartaDistrict. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. The results showed the tea leaf processing enterprises difficult to develop due to lack of competitive products, the market is still limited and the managerial ability needs to be improved. Event strengthening the capacity of farmer groups that do have an impact on increasing the knowledge and skills of the group members in running the business and increased sales volume.
