Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure the effectiveness emotion regulation training in children social safe house social workers, before and after the treatment. This research has 8 social workers as subject. Experiment study was use in this research with pretest post test single group involving one group with pretest (O1), treatment (X), and posttest (O2). The effect of the treatment is gained by comparing pretest (O1) and posttest (O2) score. Emotion regulation measured by Emotional Regulation Questionairre which is constructed by emotion regulation strategies and requirements. The result shows that there were significant score enhancement in two aspects, but not in one aspect respectively. The enhancement can be found in emotion regulation based on requirements and also based on expressive suppression response-focused. On the other side, there were no significant finding in emotion regulation based on reappraisal antecedent-focused strategy.  Keywords: Emotion regulation, Social worker, Children social safe house

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the administration staff position in PT XX. Staff administration is one of the most crucial position in PT XX. Method use in this research are self-repport, interview and observation, dan document analysis. The participants of this research are six persons whose position in PT XX as an finance and administration supervisor, and the rest five persons are administration staffs. The result shows the overlapping job description and responsibility between the staffs. Beside this finding, there should be different job description between the position even though it is in the same level. Keywords: Job analysis, Job description, Job characteristics

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to explore the effectiveness of STAD cooperative learning on improving behavior engagement in  mathematics subjects of  fifth grade elementary students. Independent variables in this study is STAD cooperative learning, meanwhile behavior engagement in mathematics subjects as the dependent variables. In this study self efficacy in mathematics also as a covariable. Participant of this study were 60 students in elementary school measured. It has two group, first, 35 students from SD KG I were the experimental group who received STAD cooperative learning, and second, 25 students from SD KG V were the control group who received traditional learning. The method used by this study is quasi experiment with untreated control group design with pretest and posttest, and the data analyzed with Anava mixed design. The result of this study shows that STAD cooperative learning fail to improve behavior engagement in mathematics subjects elementary students.     Keyword: Behavior engagement, STAD cooperative learning, Mathematics subjects

Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure the contribution of job insecurity and compensation to work satisfaction in outsourcing employee at PT Askes (Persero) main office. This is a quantitative research using multiple regression for the data analysis. This research has 164 participants consist of teachers, security officers, cleaning service officers, meeting maids and drivers. The result shows that job insecurity and compensation have contribution to work satisfaction as much as 42.1%. Based on categorization, participant’s work satisfaction and job insecurity are in the moderate level, but the compensation is in the high level.Keywords:  Job insecurity, Compensation, Work satisfaction

Abstract

We have had many companies profit in Jakarta, which launched an inclusive program is to employ blind people in the field who usually employ berfisik normal. Usually companies will choose division customer relations job description so far is still affordable by the accessibility of the blind. This study aims to determine the occupational stress experienced by visually impaired employees who work in an inclusive environment that profit companies tend to have a high competitive atmosphere and designed to physically less accessible by disabled employees. This study used a qualitative phenomenological method with data collection through interviews and observations. The results of this study indicate that the majority of subjects had increased work stress due to the persistence of the problems in the relationship between employee relations, and the impact on the working climate because of its negative relationship between employee relations. But overall subject themselves psychologically capable mencoping so it is not too intrusive work processes subject.Keywords: Job stress, Blind, Employees, Profit-based company

Abstract

The purpose of research to assess the stress overview single mothers who have children with autism and to determine the factors that cause stress on single mothers who have children with autism. This research was conducted using qualitative methods in the form of case studies. Source of data which is the subject of research are single mothers who have children with autism, subject is one person. Data collection techniques using non-participant observation and in-depth interviews. The results showed that the picture of a single mother who has a child with autism can cause stress in a single parent because the burden of responsibility in caring for children who are usually held by married couples to be borne alone by a single parent is the mother. The factors that cause stress single mothers can also be caused by the condition of children who have special needs, the needs of the economy and their shame with the condition themselves. Key words: Stress, Single mothers, Children with autism

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe why does someone interested in to be a teacher, to describe the teacher’s psychological well-being before and after gain the certification, and also the factors influencing it. The teacher’s psychological well-being related to stress, fatigue, and how the teacher copes of those problems.  Participant involved in this research are two teachers who already certificated and three significant others. The data gained using interview and non participant observation. Based on the whole findings, this research shows that the teachers have good psychological well-being, both in before and after being certificated. It is showed from the dimensions influencing the psychological well-being such as autonomy, self-acceptance, environmental mastery, positive relation, life focus, and personal growth. Keywords:  Psychological well-being, Teacher, Certification

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the correlation between social support and anxiety in pregnant women toward giving birth. Participants of this research are 100 pregnant women whom already toward giving birth with 28 until 28 weeks pregnant period. The result shows that the level of social support felt by the participants is in moderate toward high, and the anxiety is moderate toward low. There is also negative correlation between social support and anxiety toward giving birth. It is mean that the higher social support felt by the participants, the lower anxiety they faced. Keywords: Social support, Anxiety toward giving birth, Pregnant women
