Abstract

This research discussed the properties of Spatially Corrected Blundell-Bond (SCBB) in overcoming the problem of endogeneity and spatial dependence that occur in dynamic Spatial Durbin Model (SDM) panels. The properties of the estimator tested were unbiased and normality. The properties test of the estimator was carried out using the Monte Carlo simulation approach. From the results of this research, it finds that the SCBB estimator has unbiased properties and follows a normal distribution. Based on the property of the estimator obtained, the SCBB parameter estimation method in the dynamic SDM panel model works well in overcoming endogeneity and spatial dependence problems.

Abstract

This research focused on the modification of deterministic mathematical models for tuberculosis with vaccination. It also aimed to see the effect of giving the vaccine. It was done by adding vaccine compartments to people who were given the vaccine in the susceptible compartment. The population was divided into nine different groups. Those were susceptible individuals (S), vaccine (V), new latently infected (E1), diagnosed latently infected (E2), undiagnosed latently infected (E3), undiagnosed actively infected (l), diagnosed actively infected with prompt treatment (Dr), diagnosed actively infected with delay treatment (Dp), and treated (T). Basic reproduction number was constructed using next-generation matrix. Sensitivity analysis was also conducted. The results show that the model comprises two equilibriums: diseasefree equilibrium (T0) and endemic equilibrium (T*). It also shows that there is a relationship between R0 and two equilibriums. Moreover, the disease-free equilibrium point is asymptotically stable local when it is R0 < 1. Then, the disease-endemic equilibrium point is asymptotically stable local when it is R0 > 1. Furthermore, the parameters of β, ρ, and γ are the most important parameter.

Abstract

This reseach aimed to measure the mental workload of data entry processing tasks in the e-commerce industry based on mental workload value. It was to determine the factors influencing mental workload mainly induced by the data entry process. The experiments without work instruction and with two types of work instruction were conducted to diagnose the mental workload. The measurement of the initial mental workload condition of data entry employees was conducted in the laboratory. Then, the Electroencephalogram (EEG) measurement using sensors from Emotiv was performed every 30 minutes, and the data of EEG measurements (focus, engagement, and stress) were collected using the laptop. Meanwhile, pulse measurement (heart rate) was measured before and after the work. Raw National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and reaction time measurement were conducted after the work. Through these experiments, the researchers identify that mental effort and fatigue are the significant determinants of mental workload value in the data entry process of the e-commerce industry. In respect of the results of work performance analysis, it is recommended that the placement of work instruction should be near the employee. Then, the task demand (minimum completion target) should be adjusted according to each employee’s capacity.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine the effectiveness of K-440 haul trucks based on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculation, to find out the main factors that caused the ineffectiveness of K-440 haul trucks based on fishbone diagram and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and to analyze the proposed implementation of appropriate improvements to overcome the main problems of K-440 haul trucks. The method used was the mixed method, and the type of research was descriptive. The analysis methods used were OEE, fishbone diagram, and FMEA. The results show that the average effectiveness of the three K-440haul trucks is still far below international standards, which is 44,99%. The material is a significant factor that causes low OEE based on fishbone diagram analysis. There are five problems based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN) critical value from FMEA analysis, namely transmission which is not functioning properly, worn brake lining, unrotated propeller shaft on the shaft, cracked brake drum, and broken spring. Then, the implementation of eight pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is proposed in overcoming the main problem of K-440haul trucks. Based on these results, the company needs to implement eight pillars of TPM and carry out OEE calculations regularly.

Abstract

This research utilized Augmented Reality (AR) technology along with interactive multimedia applications to improve visual guidance and assist nonexpert users in assembling furniture. Rather than paperbased or video instructions, AR enhanced learning and manipulative-interactive approach. This research used the Waterfall model for development. It was divided into a couple of stages. It consisted of specifying the problem and requirements, designing the system, implementing and integrating it, and testing the system. Identifying problems and requirements was conducted through an online questionnaire and related works study. The graphics tool used was 3D Studio Max. Unity3d was used to develop the system with the software library from Qualcomm’s Vuforia for the AR implementation. The results show the mobile application called ARsembly. It serves as the early stage of concept model as it only assists the simple assembly. Through system testing performed by both researchers and end-users, ARsembly is proven to be useful and helpful in learning and performing furniture assembly.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the optimal maintenance time interval for the selected critical components and the total cost of maintenance of a plastic injection machine. In determining the critical components, a risk matrix was used, and three components were selected, namely, hydraulic hose, barrel, and motor. Using the Reliability and Risk Centered Maintenance (RRCM) method, the researchers got a proposed maintenance policy and the total maintenance cost. Based on the result, it shows that there are seven proposed maintenance tasks with three scheduled oncondition tasks and four scheduled restoration tasks with an average maintenance interval of two months. The total maintenance cost proposed is IDR91.595.318. The cost is smaller compared to the actual maintenance costs of the company.
