Abstract

Good housing must be free from pollution and equipped with facilities such as roads, sewer, trash, clean water sources, street lights, playground, schools, worship places, meeting halls, and health center. This study aims to determine how far the level of implementation of good housing and any obstacles that arise in its application in small healthy houses, especially in Jabodetabek. The method uses a survey by taking samples from 30 healthy houses in Bojong Indah Residence, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Data collecting uses questionnaires and interviews associated with those as required and the results obtained are general descriptions of the actual conditions about how government regulations regarding to eligibility for health residences are applied, and the factors that influence the level of its application in development.The results of this research is expected to give inputs for national and local governments in making policies related to housing.

Abstract

Information technology development grows faster every year. This phenomena makes opportunity for new businesses and business expansions in various industrial segments, especially for small and medium industries. Information technology is a part of support value in Porter’s value chain to optimalize industry performance. Application development, capacity amount, and various facilities in mobile phone access such as voice call, SMS, MMS, GPRS, 3G, 4G, and Vas add value to support primary business activities in each sector to earn more income. Income raise in many industries will bring impacts in national income and prosperity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the control systems on the TL shipping information, in order to discern weaknesses or problems in delivery of enterprise information systems control using CobIT approach. The research method used is the data collecting by observation, checklists, interviews, and literature study. The results achieved are findings and issue recommendations that provide an illustration about a control of the running information delivery systems. From the illustration it is known that on the company’s control of information delivery system, there are still many things that have not been up to standard. The conclusion obtained is that the control of information delivery systems that have been implemented meets only partially the standards set small, so it still needs much improvement.

Abstract

The use of information technology has been very widely in many fields including industry. Along with that, the need for a concept and mechanism of IT-based learning becomes inevitable. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the training process and identify any related problems occurred at PT.Suzuki Indomobil Motor. The problems are about the limited training time, lack of material distribution media and consultations out of training time. E-Learning is a concept of electronic application use to support learning using the internet and computer network. This concept influences the process of conventional education transformation to digital form, both in content and system. The learning system will be replaced with a web-based training media. The method used is the Object Oriented Analysis Design, which begins with a depiction of rich pictures to the Deployment diagram. This system is expected to meet the needs of employees while joining the training process, so that they will obtain excellent learning and achieve the company objectives.

Abstract

One of the main things in a highway construction plan is the geometric design that includes horizontal and vertical alignment design. This study aims to formulate the steps of highway geometric design into Visual Basic 2005 program. The design steps are the calculation of horizontal and vertical alignment. Using Visual Basic 2005, it is expected that the calculation can be done faster than the manual calculation without mistake. The program is validated by comparing results obtained by manual calculations with a difference about 1x10-4 which is considered accurate. As a case study, a geometric road design is conducted in Bogor in 2009 with a fairly low-speed plan 20-40 km/hour. In the plan, the road has 28 PI (Points of Intersection) on the horizontal alignment and 15 PVI (Point of Vertical Intersection) and obtains good results in accordance with requirements and regulations issued by Bina Marga.

Abstract

Building an e-learning strategy and developing e-learning action plan requires two fundamental thing: first is adequate knowledge about what you want to accomplish, and the second is a willingness to articulate your plan in a meaningful way to all your stakeholders. Before the work begins, identify the key stakeholders who should participate in the strategy development. This paper intends to enlighten how to build an e-learning strategy in higher educations with some strategies that must be considered, such as defining who should participate; analyzing the current situation; setting visions; stating mission; analyzing gap; conducting force-field and SWOT analysis; creating strategy recomendations; and building an action plan. Additionally, this paper describes some steps for developing an e-learning action plan in higher education.

Abstract

PT Argatama Multy Agung is one provider of metal cutting services using turret machine. The quality of metal cutting services offered are still questioned. The quality service intended is that the length accuracy of the outcome product meets the requirements of the requested length. The purpose of this study is to determine what factors lead to defects the goods length, as well as to provide the right solution that factors can be eliminated so that the number of defective products can be reduced. In this research authors implement Six Sigma methodology with an improved model of Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) to perform improvement in the services quality provided by PT Argatama Multy Agung. On the improvement phase Design Of Experiment (DOE) is used to find the machine configuration that can produce the best quality. From the research conducted, a significant increase of sigma is obtained.

Abstract

July 11, 2012 was chosen as an appropriate day in constitution terms to hold the election of Jakarta’s regional head for the next five years. There are many assumptions and opinions from some people about who would be elected as the governor of Jakarta. A lot of criteria from the candidates of governor and vice governor can be the parameters to be the success key in becoming Jakarta’s number one man. This research is discussing about decision making methods from many options by using AHP (analytical hierarchy process) method. Tthe case model is the election of Jakarta’s governor. The research utilizes two comparative components namely Jakarta’s governor and candidate of vice governor, as well as five criteria such as issues about  flood, transportation, economic, public services and credibility. The result of this research is the candidate with number six that should be most chosen in the election.

Abstract

Competitions faced by companies are some obstacles in achieving the business objectives to maintain the company's growth and survival. The use of information technology trend requires companies to use it in order to compete with competitors. Strategic planning of information system (IS) and information technology (IT) which refer to business strategy should be customized to the company's business processes. The process of finding a future application portfolio is preceded by the discovery of business strategy, IS/IT strategy managemen and IT strategy. The method used is the strategic planning of information system and information technology of Ward and Peppard. The discovery of business strategy through internal and external analysis of the company is done using tools: PEST, SWOT, Porter's five competitive model, Value chain, and CSF. The analysis of the current information systems helps determine the proposed IS and IT plan. The result achieved is strategic system plan and information technology that are appropriate to the company in achieving its business goals.

Abstract

Every institution must have an assessment system to determine the graduation of the students. Commonly universities implement static scoring systems to simplify the counting and operational process. Similarly, Bina Nusantara University implements a static scoring system. Along with the development of business models, the need for cooperation with foreign universities and quality improvement, Binus International requires a dynamic component scoring which results in changes in database design and information systems. This research uses literary study, database designing and system designing. This research aims to analyze and design a database and a scoring system at Binus International in order to support the assessment process with a dynamic component scoring. The results are a design of a dynamic scoring system. It can be concluded that the scoring system with dynamic value components is more suitable for Binus International. For further development the scoring systems is expected to be created using the online scoring data collection by the lecturers with a simpler process that considers the encription element.
