Abstract

Data analysis plays a prominent role in interpreting various phenomena. Data mining is the process to hypothesize useful knowledge from the extensive data. Based upon the classical statistical prototypes the data can be exploited beyond the storage and management of the data. Cluster analysis a primary investigation with little or no prior knowledge, consists of research and development across a wide variety of communities. Cluster ensembles are melange of individual solutions obtained from different clusterings to produce final quality clustering which is required in wider applications. The method arises in the perspective of increasing robustness, scalability and accuracy. This paper gives a brief overview of the generation methods and consensus functions included in cluster ensemble. The survey is to analyze the various techniques and cluster ensemble methods.

Abstract

As continues attacks in the world from terrorists countries warning us to be aware of those attacks like Explosive attacks, hijacks etc., which will cause huge damage to the life and property in all over the world. Among these explosive attacks is most effective to life and wealth of a country. To overcome such attacks and to save the life an intense research has done to know the characterization of the explosives, Detection Methods are also improvised. To save our next generation and escape from threats a new detection methodology has been implemented to detect the explosives at all places and the proposed system is called “Wireless Explosive detection Land Rover using ECS”. In this system chemical sensors, Quartz sensors etc., are used on the motes. By using the RF Camera a continuous surveillance can be done throughout the places like malls, rooms, houses, streets, etc., if any explosive is detected then without any delay the explosive location and timeout to explode and area that effect if explode details will be sent to the Police control room to diffuse the explode device with in time. A message will also be sent to the nearby hospitals to rescue the people.

Abstract

The Internet of Thing has gained interested to use for daily devices to industrial applications. Mission-critical applications such as connected car and healthcare services require real-time communications and mobility support. The 6LoWPAN protocol and IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Networks (RPL) have become the standard for the IoT. However, the RPL protocol is unable to support the application requirement causing from the high network overhead, long message latency and high packet loss rate due to mobility. Thus, in this paper, we propose a new cost metric combining the number of hops, RSSI values, and the summation of delay to enhance RPL mobility. In addition, we define the movement notification for the mobile node to activate mobile detection and parent selection processes. Finally, we presented a comparative study of the improved RPL protocols in terms of packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay and the number of control messages. The result shows that improved RPL protocol with the new cost metrics provides a high packet delivery ratio and offers a low message latency.

Abstract

Epoxy resin composites reinforced to different types of carbon nano-particles have been fabricated. Carbon black (20, 30 and 40 wt. %), graphene (0.5 to 4 wt. %) and carbon nanotubes (CNT) (0.5 to 2 wt. %) were added with different weight percentages to epoxy. The dielectric strength of composites was tested in several conditions such as (dry, wet, low salinity and high salinity). The mechanical characterization showed that the nano-composite Polymer enhanced by using these particles in the tensile strength. Thermal gravimetric analysis shows effect of these nano-particles on the thermal structure of epoxy resin. Scanning Electron Microscopic test is used to characterize the dispersion of carbon nano-particles and to analysis the fractured parts in the nano scale.

Abstract

A Lanthanum (La3+) doped Samarium-Cobalt nanoferrites (La_x,Co_0.2,Sm_0.2,Fe_(2-x) O_4, where x=0.0,0.5,1.0) have been synthesized by sol-gel method in citrate media. Obtained spinal ferrites micro structure properties have been investigated by XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX, and TEM-SAED techniques. All the samples are nano in size with significant hysteresis. Micro structural analysis by XRD confirms the obtained samples showing the single phase cubic spinal structures with an average crystal size found from 12 nm to 25 nm, while the average particles sizes identified from TEM analysis are ranging from 21.5nm-26.8 nm (~23.4nm) and from 20.5 nm to 28(~26.4nm) nm for x=0.5,1.0. The lattice parameter found to be a= 8.402, 8.423, 8.467Å for the respective values of x= 0.0, 0.05, and 1.0. Electrical properties show increase in dc resistivity with increase in La3+ ion concentration. Finally, it was concluded that the doping of Lanthanum ion (La3+) in the ferrites structure is found to influencing the structural and electrical properties without scarifying the ferromagnetic character.

Abstract

The increase of power system demand leads to the change in voltage profile, reliability requirement and system robustness against disturbance. The voltage profile can be improved by providing a source of reactive power through the addition of new power plants, capacitor banks, or implementation of Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices such as Static VAR Compensator (SVC), Unified Power Flow Control (UPFC), Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC), Thyristor Controlled Phase Shifting Transformer (TCPST), and many others. Determination of optimal location and sizing of device injection is paramount to produce the best improvement of voltage profile and power losses reduction. In this paper, optimization of the combined advantages of TCPST and TCSC has been investigated using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, being applied to the 30-bus system IEEE standard. The effectiveness of the placement and sizing of TCPST-TCSC combination has been compared to the implementation of capacitor banks. The result showed that the combination of TCPST-TCSC resulted in more effective improvement of system power losses condition than the implementation of capacitor banks.  The power losses reduction of 46.47% and 42.03% have been obtained using of TCPST-TCSC combination and capacitor banks respectively. The TCPST-TCSC and Capacitor Bank implementations by using PSO algorithm have also been compared with the implementation of Static VAR Compensator (SVC) using Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) Algorithm. The implementation of the TCSC-TCPST compensation with PSO algorithm have gave a better result than using the capacitor bank with PSO algorithm and SVC with the ABC algorithm.

Abstract

The intranets have been deployed extensively in large and small-scale organizations. It has grown rapidly by offering features like collaborative communication channels, easing the business processes etc. Typically organizations faced difficulties but they are prevalent while implementation. But the organizations lack clear strategies in designing intranet. It leads to loss on investment, time and productivity, a complete intranet failure. Previous studies mainly focused on management, security and usage etc. This paper presents 9 design strategies for intranet addressing system oriented plan that can be applied in real-time to achieve improvement in organizational performance.

Abstract

By increasing the use of cloud services and the number of requests to processing tasks with minimum time and costs, the resource allocation and scheduling, especially in real-time applications become more challenging. The problem of resource scheduling, is one of the most important scheduling problems in the area of NP-hard problems. In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm is proposed to schedule real-time cloud services by considering the resource constraints. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm shorten the processing time of tasks and decrease the number of canceled tasks.

Abstract

Motivated by Artstein and Sontag universal formula, this brief paper presents an explicit proof of the universal formula for asymptotic stabilization and asymptotic disturbance rejection of a nonlinear system with mismatched uncertainties and time varying disturbances. We prove the stability via Lyapunov stability criteria. We also prove that the control law satisfies small control property such that the magnitude of the control signal can be bounded without the catastropic effect to the closed loop stability. For clarity, we benchmark the proposed approach with other method namely a Lyapunov redesign with nonlinear damping function. We give a numerical example to verify the results.

Abstract

Nowadays, emerging wireless networks scenarios such as the proposed systems for 5G is discussed widely with diverse requirements. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a conservative proposal which is used to build 5G WOFDM system (Wavelet OFDM system). The simulation of the system is initialized with BPSK then with QAM and 64-QAM the system is improved by increasing the number of levels of Discrete Wavelet Transform to five levels and finally compared with original system to prove that the it is convenient for 5G Wireless networks.
