This paper describes the design and implementation of fuzzy gain scheduling PID control for position of the AR.Drone. This control scheme uses 3 PID controllers as the main controller of the AR.Drone, in this case to control pitch, roll and throttle. The process of tuning parameters for each PID is done automatically by scheduling determined by Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) fuzzy logic model. This paper uses five function sets of PID parameters that will be evaluated by fuzzy logic in order to tune PID controllers. Error position (x,y,z), as inputs of controller, enters the PID Signal block yielding the ouputs in term of error, integral error and differential error. These signal become the inputs of the fuzzy scheduler to yield outputs pitch, roll and throttle to the AR.drone. The control scheme is implemented on the AR.Drone to make it fly to forming a square in the room. The experimental results show that the control scheme can follow the desired points, and process scheduling PID parameters can be shown.

MPC is a computer based technique that requires the process model to anticipate the future outputs of that process. An optimal control action is taken by MPC based on this prediction. The MPC is so popular since its control performance has been reported to be best among other conventional techniques to control the multivariable dynamical plants with various inputs and outputs constraints. In the present work the control of boiler turbine process with three manipulated variables namely fuel flow valve position, steam control valve position and feed water flow valve position and three controlled variables namely drum pressure, output power and drum water level deviation [8] has been attempted using MPC technique. Boiler turbine process is very complex and nonlinear multivariable process. A linearized model obtained using Taylor series expansion around operating point has been used.

Telecommunication systems, especially digital ones, are mostly known to be immune to noise given their extensive range of applications. This study aimed to investigate the methods and tools used for the analysis of multicomponent signals input to high-frequency digital subsystems, including the analysis of changes in its electrical behavior. This research mainly focuses on analyzing a high-frequency telecommunication subsystem, recording the results, investigating the system behavior against signals with different amplitudes and phases, detecting the received signals, and measuring the phase differences. The study extended the mono-component signals to multi-component signals and accurately extracted the statistical signal specifications using analytic signals in the time-frequency domain. To this end, a method was proposed based on the switch matrix to relate the different components and parameters, and also a mathematical model based on the state-space equations was employed to evaluate the nonlinear system modes. Given that the decoupling of measurement parameters is a problem to be tackled from multiple aspects, the costs and test durations were also taken into calculations in addition to considering all the detection methods for interference signals, reliability and time under test.

In this work, we present a new configuration of a new miniature microstrip antenna array having a wide frequency band and with a circular polarization. The bandwidth is about 2GHz for a reflection coefficient under -10dB and centered on the ISM ‘Industrial Scientific Medical’ band at 5.8 GHz. To design such array, we have started the design by validating one antenna element at 10 GHz and after that by using the technique of defected ground, we have validated the antenna array in the frequency band [4 GHz -6 GHz] which will permit to miniature the dimensions. The final fabricated antenna array is mounted on an FR4 substrate, the whole area is 102.48 X 31.39 mm2 with a gain of 5dBi at 4GHz.

In this paper a new hybrid blind spectrum sensing method is proposed. The method is designed to enhance the detection performance of Conventional Energy Detector (CED) through combining it with a proposed sensing module based on Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) coefficient’s relationship as operation mode at low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) values. In the proposed sensing module a certain factor called Average Ratio (AR) represent the ratio of energy in DCT coefficients is utilized to identify the presence of the Primary User (PU) signal. The simulation results show that the proposed method improves PU detection especially at low SNR values.

This work develops a new modular architecture that emulates a recently-discovered biological paradigm. It originates from the human brain where the information flows along two different pathways and is processed along two time scales: one is a fast neural network (NN) and the other is a slow network called the glial network (GN). It was found that the neural network is powered and controlled by the glial network. Based on our biological knowledge of glial cells and the powerful concept of modularity, a novel approach called artificial neuroglial Network (ANGN) was designed and an algorithm based on different concepts of modularity was also developed. The implementation is based on the notion of multi-time scale systems. Validation is performed through an asynchronous machine (ASM) modeled in the standard singularly perturbed form. We apply the geometrical approach, based on Gerschgorin’s circle theorem (GCT), to separate the fast and slow variables, as well as the singular perturbation method (SPM) to determine the reduced models. This new architecture makes it possible to obtain smaller networks with less complexity and better performance.

This paper proposes evaluation and classification classifier for static security evaluation (SSE) and classifica-tion. Data are generated on (30, 57, 118 and 300) bus IEEE test systems used to design the classifiers. The implementation decision tree methods on several IEEE test systems involved appropriateness SSE and classi-fication by using four algorithms of DT’s. Empirically, with the present of FSA, the implementation results indicate that these classifiers have the capability for system security evaluation and classification. Lastly, FSA is efficient and effective approach for real-time evaluation and classification classifier design.

Microphone forensics has become a challenging field due to the proliferation of recording devices and explosion in video/audio recording. Video or audio recording helps a criminal investigator to analyze the scene and to collect evidences. In this regards, a robust method is required to assure the originality of some recordings. In this paper, we focus on digital audio forensics and study how to identify the microphone model. Defining microphone model will allow the investigators to conclude integrity of some recordings. We perform statistical analysis on the recording that is collected from two microphones of the same model. Experimental results and analysis indicate that the signal of sound recording of identical microphone is not exactly same and the difference is up to 1% - 3%.

An Inspection is a study of methods and techniques that can be suitably employed in practical applications. In this paper, a new activity is proposed and analysis framework to facilitate the inspection of an object using machine vision technique in which maximum efficiency can be achieved. By using LABVIEW software and vision builder software the quality of output images such as image compression, image restoration and multimedia streaming are achieved successfully. So the proposed design makes use of various image processing functions like special filters and classifiers to compute the optimum results. Using smart camera in the inspection system the static as well as the dynamic object is captured in fraction of seconds without any blurs; as a result the optimum image quality without any distortion is obtained for better analysis. The proposed system is very precise, accurate and flexible with reasonable development cost compared to other model. With the aid of an Industrial robotic system with simulation software the object is replaced immediately when the same is rejected by the machine vision model. Apart from this, the proposed model can be implemented for any type of Automation work

Widespread applications of random censoring in life testing experiments to estimate reliability of engineering products or systems are avialable. Different parametric statistical models such as exponential, Rayleigh, Weibull and Maxwell distributions are used under random censoring scheme. In this paper, random censoring under Pareto distribution is considered. The maximum likelihood estimators (MLE’s) of the model parameters and survival function were derived along with Fisher information matrix and asymptotic confidence intervals. A simulation study was performed to observe the behavior of the MLE’s. The simulation results showed that the bias and MSE were reasonably small in all cases.
