Abstract

In this paper we proposed a method which avoids the choice of natural language processing tools such as pos taggers and parsers reduce the processing overhead. Moreover, we suggest a structure to immediately create a large-scale corpus annotated along with disease names, which can be applied to train our probabilistic model. In this proposed work context rank based hierarchical clustering method is applied on different datasets namely colon, Leukemia, MLL medical diseases. Optimal rule filtering algorithm is applied on these datasets to remove unwanted special characters for gene/protein identification. Finally, experimental results show that proposed method outperformed existing methods in terms of time and clusters space.

Abstract

Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks [UASNs] are becoming a very growing research topic in the field of WSNs. UASNs are harmful by many attacks such as Jamming attacks at the physical layer, Collision attacks at the data link layer and Dos attacks at the network layer. UASNs has a unique characteristic such as unreliable communication, mobility, and computation of underwater sensor network. Because of this the traditional security mechanism, e.g. cryptographic, encryption, authorization and authentications are not suitable for UASNs. Many trust mechanisms of TWSNs [Terrestrial Wireless Sensor Networks] had proposed to UASNs and failed to provide security for UASNs environment, due to dynamic network structure and weak link connection between sensors. In this paper, a novel Trust Model Genetic Algorithm based on Cloud Theory [TMC] for UASNs has been proposed. The TMC-GA suggested a genetic node recovery algorithm to improve the TMC network in terms of better network lifetime, residual energy and total energy consumption. Also ensures that sensor nodes are participating in the rerouting in the routing discovery and performs well in terms of successful packet delivery. Simulation result provides that the proposed TMC-Genetic node recovery algorithm outperforms compared to other related works in terms of the number of hops, end-to-end delay, total energy consumption, residual energy, routing overhead, throughput and network lifetime.

Abstract

With the increase in the evolution of wireless communication, the ad-hoc networks are gaining attention and are significantly becoming the technology solutions to the various problems. Mobile ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are envisaged to grow as a main component in the today 4G architecture, and ad hoc networks are projected to be a significant element of the whole future wireless communication. The MANETs are infrastructure less, self-forming and self-organizing network in which there is no control of any centralized entity. The nodes are free to move around the network with dynamic topology. But this self formation, flexibility and scalability create many challenges and design constraints like hidden  terminal, limited bandwidth, limited energy of a node, unpredictable change in the topology etc. Bandwidth and energy are the scarce resources of the network. In order to effectively manage the consumption of bandwidth and energy, an algorithm is proposed which is the extension of traditional Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) reactive routing protocol. The extended protocol applies the mobile agents to carry the data. The proposed work is intended to optimize the bandwidth and making the protocol energy efficient.

Abstract

Vehicle routing problem with time windows (VRPTW) is one of NP-hard problem. Multi-trip is approach to solve the VRPTW that looking trip scheduling for gets best result. Even though there are various algorithms for the problem, there is opportunity to improve the existing algorithms in order gaining a better result. In this research, genetic algoritm is hybridized with simulated annealing algoritm to solve the problem. Genetic algoritm is employed to explore global search area and simulated annealing is employed to exploit local search area. Four combination types of genetic algorithm and simulated annealing (GA-SA) are tested to get the best solution. The computational experiment shows that GA-SA1 and GA-SA4 can produced the most optimal fitness average values with each value was 1.0888 and 1.0887. However GA-SA4 can found the best fitness chromosome faster than GA-SA1.

Abstract

In this work, differential evolution based compressive sensing technique for detection of faulty sensors in linear arrays has been presented. This algorithm starts from taking the linear measurements of the power pattern generated by the array under test. The difference between the collected compressive measurements and measured healthy array field pattern is minimized using a hybrid differential evolution (DE). In the proposed method, the slow convergence of DE based compressed sensing technique is accelerated with the help of parallel coordinate decent algorithm (PCD). The combination of DE with PCD makes the  minimization faster and precise. Simulation results validate the performance to detect faulty sensors from a small number of measurements.

Abstract

This article presents a work oriented to assistive robotics, where a scenario is established for a robot to reach a tool in the hand of a user, when they have verbally requested it by his name. For this, three convolutional neural networks are trained, one for recognition of a group of tools, which obtained an accuracy of 98% identifying the tools established for the application, that are scalpel, screwdriver and scissors; one for speech recognition, trained with the names of the tools in Spanish language, where its validation accuracy reach a 97.5% in the recognition of the words; and another for recognition of the user's hand, taking in consideration the classification of 2 gestures: Open and Closed hand, where a 96.25% accuracy was achieved. With those networks, tests in real time are performed, presenting results in the delivery of each tool with a 100% of accuracy, i.e. the robot was able to identify correctly what the user requested, recognize correctly each tool and deliver the one need when the user opened their hand, taking an average time of 45 seconds in the execution of the application.

Abstract

As technology development increase, human more use robot technology to help in many fields. One of robot technology advances is the flying robot Quadcopter. The quadcopter robot is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or UAV that consists of four propellers and four brushless motors that function as actuator. Quadcopter was designed by using KK Board V 2.0 Flight Controller which is a series of motor rotation controller and all at once has Accelerometer censor as acceleration censor and Gyroscop censor as a balance or stability censor. The robot controlling is by using remote control (RC), and GoPro HD Hero2 camera was installed to monitor the condition of the environment. Result of testing is that the quadcopter has maximum load for 4.4 kg and maximum range distance of RC is 100 meters without any barrier and 50 meters with barrier.  In the testing, robot can fly with maximum height for 30 meters from land surface. The robot is equipped with camera, so the quadcopter flying robot can be used to monitor any places that are hard to reach.

Abstract

Islamic finance development has grown into a focal point in many countries accros the globe. Sukuk, in particular, an Islamic investment product that has received growing attention from sovereigns, multinational and national organizations from both developed and emerging economies. Its uses has been aimed to finance investments in a varieties of economic activities and development projects. Despite the promising look of Sukuk, currently there is lack of studies had been to examine and predict the rating of the Sukuk. As a result, many practitioners adopted the conventional bond hence ignore the fact that these two instruments are different in nature. In order to fill the gap in the literature, it is the aim of this research to develop an ensemble model that can be used to predict Sukuk rating. The effectiveness of the proposed models were evaluated using dataset on Sukuk issuance for domestic from 2006 to 2016. The results indicate that the overall performance of the ensemble model is fall short behind the i duction decision tree (IDT) model. However, the class precision of the ensemble model improved, particularly in predicting the lowest rating of Sukuk.

Abstract

In this paper, the construction of new lifting based wavelets by a new method of calculating lifting coefficients is presented. First of all, new basis functions are utilized to ease new orthogonal traditional wavelets. Then by using the decomposing poly-phase matrix the lifting steps are calculated using a simplified method. The interesting feature of lifting scheme is that the construction of wavelet is derived in spatial domain only; hence the difficulty in the design of traditional wavelets is avoided. Lifting scheme was used to generate second generation wavelets which are not necessarily translation and dilation of one particular function. Short and sharp basis functions are chosen so as to obtain the non-uniform nature of usual image classes. Implemented wavelets are applied on a number of medical images. It was found that the compression ratio (CR) and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) are far ahead of that are obtained with the popular traditional wavelets as well as the successful 5/3 and 9/7 lifting based wavelets. Abstract

This paper deals with a new AC – AC single stage full bridge series resonant converter for induction heating application. The proposed system is simulated with high power density modulation technique to produce a output power of 1.8Kw.The main feature of the proposed converter is to reduce the total harmonic distortion produced in the output current for the switching frequency of 29Khz.Asymmetrical pulse density modulation technique is proposed to achieve maximum output power with less harmonic content. It is found that the THD of the proposed high power density modulated converter is 13.43%. Here, the validity of the proposed converter for domestic induction heating application is compared and summarized.
