Abstract

Pada umumnya, pembelajaran didalam kelas pada beberapa sekolah masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran tradisional. Guru masih mendominasi dengan kegiatan ceramah. Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa efektif model PBL menggunakan audio visual untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMPN 3 Bodeh Pemalang. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian eksperimen yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil akhir analisis didapat pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata 78,03 dengan uji gain sebesar 0,59. Sedangkan  pada kelas kontrol didapat nilai rata-rata 68,68 dengan uji gain 0,41. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL menggunakan audio visual efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII mata pelajaran IPA pada pokok bahasan perubahan wujud zat. In general, the learning in the classroom in some schools are still using traditional learning methods. Teachers still dominate the discourse activities. This experimental study aimed to see how effective the use of audio-visual model of PBL to improve the learning outcomes of students of class VII SMPN 3 Bodeh Pemalang. The research method using experimental research consists of two classes, namely the experimental class and control class. The final result of analysis obtained in the experimental class earned an average rating of 78.03 with a gain of 0.59 test. While in the control class derived average value 68.68 and 0.41 gain test. The results showed that the application of the model using audio-visual PBL effectively improve student learning outcomes seventh grade science subjects on the subject of phase transition.

Abstract

Banyak siswa yang mempunyai pemahaman yang salah tentang konsep suhu dan kalor. Guru bertanggung jawab untuk meluruskan kesalahpahaman konsep siswa sehingga siswa dapat terhindar dari miskonsepsi. Oleh karena itu perlu dikembangkan suatu perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik materi pembelajaran agar siswa dapat memahami konsep dengan baik. Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) digunakan untuk mendeteksi dan meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi yang bersifat abstrak menjadi materi yang bersifat konkrit. Bahan ajar menjelaskan mengenai konsep-konsep materi suhu dan kalor, sedangkan LKS untuk membuktikan secara empiris konsep-konsep yang bersifat abstrak menjadi konsep-konsep yang lebih konkrit. Melalui validasi pakar, pengembangan Bahan Ajar dan LKS dinyatakan berkualitas sangat baik dengan tingkat kevalidan 88%, 90% dan 98%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi berkurang pasca dilakukan tindakan remediasi pada materi suhu dan kalor dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa dari 27,2% menjadi 98%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis POE dapat meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa. There are lots of students believe in misconceptions of temperature and heat. Teachers have a responsibility to help students and clear it up. Therefore, there is a media development that is suitable for the subject, in order to make the students are able to learn the concept well. Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) is used to find and remediate the students’ misconception for the abstract materials into materials that is concrete. The learning materials explain about the concept of temperature and heat,meanwhile; students’ worksheet is used for proving the theoretical concepts empirically becoming the concrete one. According to the experts of validation, the development of LKS and learning materials are high qualified only if the validation point is 88%, 90% and 98%. The result shows the decreasing of misconception about temperature and heat material after conducting remediation by increasing the students learning results from 27,5% to 98%. It can be concluded that the use of media-based POE can remediate the students’ misconception.

Abstract

Pada materi hukum Archimedes siswa dituntut untuk memahami konsep beserta aplikasinya. Alternatif pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa adalah pembelajaran PBL pendekatan saintifik dan TAI pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui ketuntasan pembelajaran PBL pendekatan saintifik; (2) mengetahui ketuntasan pembelajaran TAI pendekatan saintifik; (3) menguji perbedaan rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa antara pembelajaran PBL pendekatan saintifik, TAI pendekatan saintifik, dan ekspositori, (4) menguji pemahaman konsep siswa yang lebih baik antara siswa pembelajaran PBL pendekatan saintifik, TAI pendekatan saintifik, dan ekspositori. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Brangsong tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Pengambilan sampel penelitian melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Analisis data pemahaman konsep meliputi uji normalitas Chi-Kuadrat, uji proporsi, uji One Way Anova, dan uji lanjut Scheffe. Simpulan yang diperoleh adalah (1) pembelajaran PBL pendekatan saintifik tuntas mencapai 90,32%; (2) sampel pada pembelajaran TAI pendekatan saintifik tuntas mencapai 75%, tetapi untuk populasi belum mencapai ketuntasan; (3) terdapat perbedaan rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa antara pembelajaran PBL pendekatan saintifik, TAI pendekatan saintifik, dan ekspositori; (4) pemahaman konsep siswa dengan pembelajaran PBL pendekatan saintifik yaitu 83,4 lebih baik dibandingkan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan pembelajaran TAI pendekatan saintifik yaitu 78,2 dan pembelajaran ekspositori yaitu 72,5. In The Law of Archimedes, students comprehension of  the concepts along with its application is required. Alternative learning to improve conceptual understanding of students are the PBL and TAI of scientific approach. This research aims to (1)  determine the completeness of PBL scientific approach learning; (2) determine the completeness of TAI scientific approach learning; (3) examining the differences of student understanding concept among the PBL scientific approach learning, TAI scientific approach learning, and expository learning (4) testing whichone were better between students with PBL scientific approach learning, TAI scientific approach learning, and expository learning for students understanding concept. The population in this research was the 8th grade of students from Junior High School 1 Brangsong in 2014/2015 academic year. The sample of this program was taking by cluster random sampling technic. The data analyzing of students understanding concept include test for normality using Chi-Square, proportion test, One Way Anova test, and further tests with Scheffe. The conclusions obtained were (1) understanding concept of students with PBL thoroughly scientific approach learning reached 90,32%, (2) Sample for understanding concept of students through TAI scientific approach reached 75%, but the population were not passed the exhaustiveness, (3) average difference of students concept understanding occured in students with PBL scientific approach, TAI scientific approach, and expository learning, (4) average score students understanding concept with PBL scientific approach learning (83,4) was better than the average of students understanding concept with TAI scientific approaches learning (78,2) and expository learning (72,5)

Abstract

Pengembangan bahan ajar sering kali dilakukan sebagai inovasi untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan dan kelayakan LKS Fisika berbasis REACT, serta menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan memecahkan masalah antara siswa yang menggunakan LKS Fisika berbasis REACT dengan siswa yang hanya menggunakan buku paket. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode R&D. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi, dan tes. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 96 siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pengembangan LKS Fisika berbasis REACT layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran dengan langkah-langkah: studi pendahuluan, pengembangan dan pengujian produk, pengolahan dan analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan kelayakan produk LKS. (2) LKS Fisika berbasis REACT layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dengan persentase kelayakan 93,67 % dan tingkat keterbacaan LKS 76 %. (3) Peningkatan kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa setelah belajar menggunakan LKS Fisika berbasis REACT sebesar 0,48 kriteria sedang yang berarti produk LKS hanya cocok digunakan oleh siswa dengan kemampuan kognitif baik. Development of teaching materials is often done as innovation to achieve maximum learning. This research aims to analyze the development and the feseability of student worksheets based REACT subject physics, analyze increase problem-solving skills among students who use worksheets based REACT with students who only use textbook. Research methods using R&D. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, and testing. Research subjects were 96 students. The result obtained from the reseach indicate that (1) the development of student worksheets based REACT subject physics decent used as teaching materials with the steps that preliminary studies, development and testing of the product, processing and analyzing data and drawing conclusions product feasibility student worksheets. (2) student worksheets based REACT subject physics decent used  as teaching materials with eligibility percentage of 93,67 % and reading level student worksheet by 76 %. (3) increasing students' problem-solving skills after learning using worksheets based REACT is 0.48 with medium criteria. This means the product worksheet only suitable for use by students with good cognitive abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of increase the concept comprehension and scientific work skill of senior high school students by applying conservation character values. Based on the data analysis normalized gain test <g>, there is improvement of concept comprehension in experimental group with score 0,56 and 0,48 in control group which both scores are on medium level. It tells the improvement of concept comprehension in experimental group is higher than control group. The value <g> of scientific work skill in each group is 0,43 and 0,31. This research gives the conclution that guided inquiry learning by applying the conservation character values is effective to increase the concept comprehension and scientific work skill of senior high school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran multidimensional, mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa, dan mengetahui respon siswa terhadap implementasi model pembelajaran multidimensional pada pembelajaran fisika. Keterampilan Proses yang dinilai merupakan keterampilan dasar (basic skill) yang meliputi: keterampilan berhipotesis, interpretasi data, menerapkan konsep, dan komunikasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi model pembelajaran multidimensional terlaksana dengan sangat baik dengan rata-rata skor keterlaksanaan 3,73 dari skor maksimal 4. Keterampilan proses sains siswa juga meningkat dengan faktor gain sebesar 0,66 termasuk kategori peningkatan sedang. Untuk rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest terdapat perbedaaan yang signifikan dengan perolehan thitung= 23.51, taraf signifikansi 5%. Respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran multidimensional juga tergolong tinggi dengan rata-rata presentasi respon siswa sebesar 71,88% termasuk kategori tinggi. This research is aimed to recognize the implementation of multidimensional learning model, to recognize the enhancement of student’s science process skill, and to recognize the student’s response toward the application of multidimensional learning model in the learning physics. The scored science process skill is the basic skill including four aspects, those are: hipotesing, interpreting data, concepting, and communicating. This research is an experimental with the type of quasi experimental research. The result of this research shows that the implementation of multidimensional learning model is well performed with average score 3,73 of a maximum score that is 4. Student’s science process skill also increase with gain factor 0,66 which belong to medium gain. The average score of pretest and posttest there are a significant different with the value is obtained t=23.51, asignificance level of 5%. The response of student to the multidimensional learning model is the average percentage of student’s response is 71,88% which means relatively high in category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa penerapan strategi POE (predict–observe–explain) dapat digunakan untuk memperbaiki miskonsepsi fisika pada sub pokok bahasan arus dan tegangan listrik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre Experimentaldengan rancangan pre-test & post-test one group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua peserta didik kelas X SMA Teuku Umar Semarang tahun ajaran 2013/2014 semester genap. Sampel pada penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling, yaitu pengambilan sampel dari anggota populasi secara acak tanpa memperhatikan strata yang kemudian diperoleh kelas X 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penelitian dimulai dengan pengumpulan data dan observasi terhadap peserta didik. Sebelum pembelajaran peserta didik diberi soal pre-test untuk mengetahui keadaan miskonsepsi awal. kemudian setelah pembelajaran dengan strategi POE, peserta didik diberi soal post-test untuk mengukur penurunan miskonsepsi yang terjadi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji gain ternormalisasi dari hasil pre-test dan post-test. Untuk profil konsepsi peserta didik dianalisis dengan teknik Certainty of Response Index (CRI). Hasil uji gain ternormalisasi menunjukkan penurunan miskonsepsi sebesar 0,74% dengan kategori tinggi. This study aims to determine that the implementation of the strategy POE (predict-observed-explain) can be used to improve physics misconceptions on the subject of the sub electric current and voltage. This research is to design Pre Experimental Pre-test and post-test one group design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Teuku Umar Semarang second semester of the school year 2013/2014. Samples were determined by simple random sampling technique, namely sampling of random members of the population regardless of the strata which are then obtained class X 2 as the experimental class. The study begins with data collection and observation of learners. Before learning about the students were given a pre-test to determine the state of the initial misconceptions. then after learning the POE strategy, learners are given about the post-test to measure the decline occurring misconceptions. Data analysis was performed with test normalized gain from the pre-test and post-test. For the conception of learners profiles were analyzed by using Certainty of Response Index (CRI). The test results showed a decrease misconceptions normalized gain of 0.74% with a higher category.

Abstract

Pokok bahasan fisika pada sekolah menengah atas seringkali mengandung konsep abstrak, seperti pokok bahasan radioaktivitas. Terlebih, pokok bahasan radioaktivitas berada di akhir semester 2 kelas 12 SMA membuat siswa kurang mendalami pokok bahasan tersebut. Konsep abstrak bisa diatasi dengan menggunakan gambar, gambar dikembangkan dalam bentuk komik agar tercipta suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan menarik. Penelitian ini mengembangkan komik fisika bersifat mobile untuk sistem operasi Android sebagai suatu suplemen pembelajaran. Kelayakan komik diuji menggunakan metode angket, dokumentasi, serta tes rumpang untuk mengetahui tingkat keterbacaan komik. Angket diberikan kepada responden, yakni siswa kelas 12 SMA, guru fisika, ahli media, serta ahli materi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan aplikasi komik fisika berbasis Android sebagai suplemen pokok bahasan radioaktivitas untuk sekolah menengah atas. Skor rata-rata data responden sebesar 77,91% atau berada dalam kriteria baik, maka aplikasi komik fisika berbasis Android layak digunakan sebagai suplemen pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan radioaktivitas untuk sekolah menengah atas. The subject of physics at high school often contain the abstract concept, such as the subject of radioactivity. Moreover, subject of radioactivity was in the end of the 2nd semester grade 12 High School make students less explore the subject of the. Abstract concept can be overcome by using images, images developed in the form of comics in order to create atmosphere of learning more fun and interesting. This study developed a comic physics is mobile for Android operating system as a supplement learning. Feasibility comics tested using the questionnaire method, documentation, as well as the test hiatus to determine the level of the legibility of comics. Questionnaire given to the respondents, namely grade students 12 High School, physics teacher, media experts, as well as the matter experts. This research result in the application comic physics based Android as a supplement the subject of radioactivity for high school. The mean score of respondents data is 77.91% or in a good criterion, it’s means that the application comic physics based Android worth used as a supplement learning on the subject of radioactivity for high school.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis literasi sains dengan kategori literasi sains seimbang, layak digunakan, mudah dipahami, serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Desain Reasearch and Development ini meliputi potensi dan masalah, mengumpulkan informasi, desain produk, validasi produk, revisi produk, uji coba produk awal, revisi produk awal, uji coba produk akhir, revisi produk akhir, dan produk akhir. Pada uji coba produk akhir menggunakanPretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam menguji kelayakan dan keterbacaan bahan ajar adalah statistik deskriptif dengan perhitungan persentase, sedangkan pengujian keefektifan bahan ajar adalah statistik inferensial dengan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, karakteristik bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki komposisi muatan literasi sains yang seimbang dengan persentase 2 : 1 : 1 : 1 untuk sains sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan, sains sebagai cara menyelidiki, sains sebagai cara berpikir, dan interaksi antara sains, teknologi, dan masyarakat. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan peroleh rata-rata total 90,42% dan tingkat keterbacaan 71,8% dengan kriteria bahan ajar mudah dipahami. Hasil peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa yang menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis literasi sains adalah 0,63, sedangkan siswa yang menggunakan bahan ajar yang digunakan di sekolah adalah 0,42. The purpose of this research is to develop textbook based on scientific literacy with science literacy category is equal feasible to use, easy to understand, and can improve students' scientific literacy capability. This Research and Development design consists of potential and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, product revisions, initial product trials, revision of the initial product, final product trials, revision of the final product, and final product. At the trial of the final product is using a pretest-posttest control group design. Data analysis techniques used in testing the feasibility and readability textbook are descriptive statistical with percentage, while testing the effectiveness of textbook is inferential statistical with t-test. Based on this result of the research, the characteristics of textbook that developed has a composition scientific literacy category is equal with the percentage of 2 : 1 : 1 : 1 for science as a body of knowledge, science as the way of investigating, science as a way of thinking, the interaction among science , technology, and society. Textbook that developed feasible to use based on the results of feasibility by the validator with the total average is 90.42% and has readability level of 71.8% with the criterion of textbook is easy to understand. The result of student who use scientific literacy textbook can improve their scientific literacy capability is 0,63, while student who use school textbook is 0,42.

Abstract

The aim of this research is determining what the implementation of worksheet assisted Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can improve the physics concept mastery of dynamic fluid chapter and performances of student. The performances consist of the performance of group work, the performance of collecting data and the performance of oral presentation. This research used a quasi-experimental design by nonequivalent control group. The population was all of students of XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Pecangaan while the sample was determined by purposive sampling technique with XI MIPA 1 as experimental group and XI MIPA 2 as control group. The results of research showed that the concept mastery of the experimental group could reach completeness of 78.79%. Based on gain test and t-test, concept mastery of the experimental group is better than the control group. Based on gain test of student’s performance, The performance of the experimental group is better than the control group. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of worksheet assisted PjBL model can improve the physics concepts mastery and performances of student.
