Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the correlation between the supervisor supervision with working discipline of the housekeeping employee at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang. The type research is correlational. Population in this research are amounted to 30 people. The sampling technique is non probability sampling, by using saturated sampling. Sample in this research are amounted to 30 people. Data collection using a questionnaire based on a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the research indicates that the supervisor supervison at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang is good (73,4%), and for working discipline of the housekeeping employee at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang is good (80%). The results also indicate that the presence of a medium significant correlation between supervisor supervision and working discipline of the housekeeping employee at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang with correlation coefficient values (0,515) and significant values (0,004). Abstract

This purpose of research is to describe sanitation management in street food payakumbuh are evaluated from:equipment, sanitary facilities.This type of research is descriptive qualitative with method of survey. Techniques of collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation.The final conclusion is equipment: planning a choose equipment has already meeth the rules,organizinga wholeness equipment, lack of knowledge merchants about as a result of using defective equipment. Actuating washing equipment, their circuit process of washing equipment which are not done correctly. Controlling equipment storage, is not storage in the right place and contrary to the supposed. Evaluation not maximal, characterized by the persistence of the merchants that is not according to the rules.Planning sanitary facilities have been planned but not sufficient the need of merchant. Organizing not follow the rules. Actuating the work has not been done withmaksimum because still yheir steps do not work. Controlling is very less marked with a damaged facility. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the application of supervisor’s supervisory tasks of the housekeeping department at Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang, evaluated from four indicators which are: monitoring of the human resources, the use of materials, work equipment and work systems. The research uses a qualitative descriptive survey method. Data was collected by using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application of supervisor’s supervisory tasks of the housekeeping department at Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang is fair, although there are some indicators that supervision can not be implemented properly by the supervisor. Such as oversight of the mental condition of the employees, the use of materials, procurement and storage of the work equipment, the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure. As for the performance assessment, employee recruitment and employee career system is not implemented by supervisors because it is not the task of the housekeeping supervisor at Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang.   Keyword: Controlling, Supervisor, Housekeeping

Abstract

Besurek Batik is a unique handicrafts Bengkulu motive distinctively Arabic calligraphy. This study to look at the shape of the motive and meaning of philosophy on motive. Method used is descriptive method qualitative . Collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation in the city of Bengkulu province of Bengkulu. Data type form of writing and non- writing (recording) the interviews, documentation and literature study. Data reviewed and analyzed by step data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Extension of the validity of the data with observations, increase persistence and triangulation. The results showed that Batik Basurek consists of 12 motifs and ornaments sourced from naturalists shaped, other shapes and combinations. Kaligrafi motive of symbolizes religious. Burung Kuau motive symbolizes the God Is the God Esa. Motive relung paku symbolizes the wheel of human life. Motive jasmine flowers describe the symbolizes of beauty, elegance and prayer. Motive rafflesia flowers the symbolizes of gratitude. Motive kaganga is symbolizes the by writing script rejang derived from the area rejang lebong. Motive remis is shell small symbolizes of natural wealth rejang lebong. Motive durian symbolizes of patience. Floral teratai symbolizes the environment. Abstract

This research purpose to know howsatisfiedthetourists of Pantai Air Manis Padang tourism which include four of tourist’s attraction indicators that are attraction, accessibilities, amenities and ancillary services. This research consists of four indicators are: attraction, accessibilities, amenities, and ancillary services. This type of research is descriptive research using survey method. Population in this research amounted to 2.023 people’s. Sampling technique is non probability sampling, using incidental sampling. Sample number in this research amounted for 96 people’s. Data collection using a questionnaire that tested for validity and reliability. Based on the Result of the research shown that tourist satisfaction about tourist attraction of Pantai Air Manis Padang tourism is fairly satisfy categorized with average value 143,78 at the range score 140 - <170 with 50% percentage. Abstract

This study aims to determine the visitor's perception of the existence of street vendors in tourism object Jam Gadang Bukittinggi which included 4 of 7 indicators stepping, namely: a safe, orderly, clean and friendly. This type of research is descriptive research with survey method. The study population amounted 38.795 people. The sampling method is non-probability sampling, by incidental technique. The research sample of 100 people. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed through descriptive analysis categorizing method of assessment based on the average scores and percentage assessment. The study concluded that the general perception of visitors to the existence of street vendors in tourism object Jam Gadang Bukittinggi 56% said either. While based on each of the indicators are: (1) Safe 53% said good, (2) Orderly 37% said either, (3) Clean 58% said very good, (4 ) Friendly 59% said either.1

Abstract

This study aims to describe the picture concerning, the implementation of occupational health and safety of students in the batik’s subjects in Production Design Textile Craft Workshop SMK Negeri 8 Padang terms of three indicators, namely (1) Application of K3 student self (2) Application of K3 in use equipment and materials (3) Application of K3 in the work environment. This research is descriptive quantitative research and the research data is numeric or statistical analysis. The population and the sample in this study are all students studying in class XI batik namely DPK Textiles SMKN 8 Padang amounted to 81 people. Data analysis in this research using descriptive analysis techniques percentage through the statistic program Solusion Product and Service (SPSS) version 16. Results of research on the application K3 class XI students on subjects DPK Textile Batik Workshop Textile DPK SMKN 8 Champaign high category (74.61%). It can be viewed in terms of the implementation of K3 students self-sufficient in the category (58.86%). In terms of the implementation of K3 students in the use of tools and materials that are in high category (79.62%). In terms of the implementation of K3 students in the work environment at the high category (79.73%). K3 conclusion of the results of the implementation of K3 on the batik’s subjects already applying K3 with excellent. It can be terms K3 application of the self, the use of tools and materials, and in the working environment with excellent batik to be maintained and further enhanced. It is expected the school to be able to apply on the K3 students on subjects followed the practice of batik.Kata Kunci: Kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja, Mata pelajaran batik

Abstract

This research is aims to describe the development strategy of the facilities attraction  at Pasir Jambak Beach Padang using a SWOT analysis in terms of internal factors including: the strength of tourist facilities and the weakness of tourist facilities , while the external factors include : opportunities in developing tourist facilities and the threat in developing tourist facilities. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Techniques of collecting data are using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this research stated that: 1). The strength of the attraction at Pasir Jambak beach is already available in part of infrastructure and facilities like electricity, water, telecommunication networks (mobile phone signal), stage entertainment, prayer rooms, and toilets, lodging, gazebo, and a parking lot. 2). The weakness is the lack of assistance from the government in developing an attraction, a lack of public awareness in the maintenance of tourist facilities, the condition of the entrance to the tourism site is still broken , there is no health infrastructure, no security posts and public transport to tourism site, and there are no restaurants, no souvenir shops and no game facilities. 3). Opportunity that Pasir Jambak beach had to complete the facilities are  tourist area that is wide enough and there are still many vacant land, sea waves are well suited to water sports, and existing investors. 4). Threats in developing facilities attraction at Pasir Jambak  Beach is there are no support from the surrounding sociality in the existence of tourist facilities, lack of human resources that are competent in managing tourist facilities.  The strategy for the development of facilities Pasir Jambak Beach attraction that can be done are: Expanding the sale network. The government may allocate funds for the procurement and maintenance of tourist facilities. Cooperating with the local music industry to bring entertainment. Repairing the road infrastructure. Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1) Describe the quality of service bellboy at the Hotel Rocky Plaza Padang, (2) to describe the satisfaction of the guests at the Hotel Rocky Plaza Padang and (3) analyze the relationship between service quality with guest satisfaction bellboy at the Hotel Rocky Plaza Padang. This type of research is correlational. The population is all guests who stayed at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang. The method used is non propability insedental sampling technique sampling with a sample of 98 people. The data collection is done by using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability, then the data were analyzed by descriptive and correlation productmoment using the computer program SPSS version 16:00 The results showed that: (1) Quality of service bellboy are in the very good category (97%), (2) Guest Satisfaction are in the very good category (96%) and (3) There is a relationship that is positive and significant correlation between quality of service bellboy with guest satisfaction with the r value of 0.570 (sig 0.000) with a strong interpretation. Abstract

This study aims to describe the students' motivation on the subjects to make a pattern in SMK Negeri 1 Gumanti valley, with indicators of alertness, concentration and perseverance. This type of research is descriptive with quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of class XI 2015/2016 school year who are taking courses to make patterns with the number of 18 students, a sample of this research is all class XI student of SMK Negeri 1 fashion Gumanti valley academic year 2015/2016 with the number 18 students, with the technique of sampling done by total sampling. Data were obtained through a questionnaire that measured with Likert scale. Data were analyzed quantitatively and TCR percentage, in order to obtain the interpretation of the students' motivation on the subjects to make a pattern in SMK Negeri 1 Gumanti valley.Based on the results obtained the following conclusions. Motivation to learn the indicators alertness category is quite high (73.9%). That is still lacking, especially in the case late in the assignment given by the teacher. Motivation to learn the indicators categorized concentration is high (72.1%). That is still lacking, especially in terms of not listening and paying attention to the teacher's explanations seriously. Motivation to learn the persistence indicator category is quite high (71.0%). That is still lacking, especially in terms of understanding the material to make a pattern. Overall the students' motivation on the subjects to make a pattern in SMK N 1 Gumanti valley located in the category is quite high (72.0%). This means that students' motivation on the subjects create patterns need to be improved to make it better.   Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Membuat Pola
