Abstract

This study aimed to analyze (1) consumer response to pricing on hotel rooms Alana Padang, (2) the consumer's decision to use room service at the hotel Alana Padang and (3) the relationship with the room price fixing in the consumer's decision to use Padang Alana hotel room service. The study population was a visitor Alana Hotel Padang April 2012 sampling technique using accidental sampling with a sample size of 83 rooms based on the number of occupancy in April 2012 From the results obtained the following conclusions: (1) pricing is carried out by the Hotel Alana Padang has been in accordance with the facilities provided, equipment room and the hotel location is strategic, and (2) There is a positive and significant relationship between the pricing of the consumer's decision to use the services of Alana Hotel rooms at Padang.Key Words: hotel, room pricing, costumer's decision.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe the resistance in planning before follow PSDK,the resistance in doing PSDK, and the resistance in evaluating after follow PSDK. The kind of this research is qualitative descriptive. The informants in this research are all PKK FT UNP students who have taken PSDK (53 students), and also the PSDK lecturer (1 person). Data collection by observation, interview and questionnaire. Depends on the result, the resistances are in planning the daily menu that don’t have various shape, taste and colour. And the use of the food material that too various, so there are some of them that can’t be found in the market, the resistance in doing PSDK in managing the resources in both of cookery and fashion major, the lack of the facilitation, and the resistances in evaluating and make the finance report, that there are some profits that is not reported because it have been taken for the next business.     Keywords: Difficulties in studies, PSDK subject,  Kesejahteraan Keluarga Department.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive research with quantitative approach that aims to describe the perception of students S1 and D3 Fashion Design Family Welfare Department towards the implementation of Field Experience Industry (PLI) in the business/industry. The population in this study is all of the students S1 and D3 Fashion Design has implemented PLI from July to Desember 2012 and from January to June 2013 amounted to 37 people, samples were taken from all populations. Data processing is doing by determining the percentage and categorization. The result of the research showed student’s perception of S1 and D3 Fashion Design Family welfare of the PLI observation activities in the business/industry are in the unfavorable category (63,9%), in planning activities in the business/industry that are in well enough category (74,9%), the pre-production activities are in well enough category (79,9%), whereas the production activities are in the unfavorable category (64,2%), perception of students S1 and D3 Fashion Design on the implementation of PLI in the business/industry well enough (70,1%). For that the students needs to encreas the ebility and skill of student in order to engage in any activity’s PLI in the business/industry. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of the school environment with learning motivation in basic subjects of vocational competency skills program Hospitality SMK Padang 9. This type of research is a correlational study. The population in this study were students of class X Catering competency skills, the sample in this study amounted to 62 people with a random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is the correlation product moment correlation formula. The results showed that the school environment SMK Padang including 9 in the category Good Enough Learning and motivation of students in basic subjects of vocational competency skills program vocational 9 SMK Padang included in the category of Good Enough. The relationship between school environment variables (X) with the motivation to learn basic vocational competencies (Y), has a significant and positive relationship with a correlation of 0.436, the significance of the correlation coefficient test results tarithmetic > ttable (3.756 and 2.001> 1.9949.   Kata kunci: lingkungan sekolah, motivasi belajar, dasar kompetensi kejuruan

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain information on everyday clothing Suku Anak Dalam in Sungai Jernih Village Muara Tabir sub-district Tebo regency Jambi province which includes the characteristics of everyday clothing and how to wear clothes everyday (apparel, school apparel, clothing outlets, hunting clothing and gardening clothes). The results of this study everyday clothing Suku Anak Dalam in the Sungai Jernih Village Muara Tabir subdistrict Tebo regency Jambi province the characteristics of clothing at home, gardening and hunting clothes for men are same wearing loincloths for women's clothing in an adult only home wearing gloves from the waist down limit, while still a girl wearing a tank top and sarong. school clothes (a children's) are wearing red and white uniforms like elementary school children in general. Clothes for shopping to the market of men and women is same with clothing at home if the wears top clothes as the general public. How to use everyday clothes that women are ridden by entering a sarong until limit the waist, then develop a fabric wrap to the next part gets left waist, used the materials. How to wear a tank top with the Java, wrapped around the upper body by wrapping cloth used is a long cloth. Abstract

The background of this research are (1) the lack motivation of the students in doing basic competence making the party dress (2) there are some students have the score under minimum achievement criteria. This research aimed to (1)describe how high the motivation of the students in making party dress for the persevering, (2) describe how high the motivation of the students in making party dress for the ductile, (3) describe how high the motivation of the students in making party dress for not getting bored quickly. The kind of this research is quantitative descriptive. The population is all students of XII degree of fashion SMK N 1 Tebo which are 24 students. All population is the sample. Data analysis did by determining presentation, chategorize and respondents total achievement. The result shows that 54% students of XII degree SMK N 1 Tebo have the middle persevering, 46% students of XII degree SMK N 1 Tebo have the middle ductile, and 50% students of XII degree SMK N 1 Tebo have the low attitude for not getting bored quickly, generally, 42% students of XII degree SMK N 1 Tebo have the middle learning motivation.Keywords: Motivation, Competence, Fashion PartyA. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze whether there are differences of the concentration of learning between the students who get breakfast and who miss breakfast, especially in the subjects F&B Service class X Jasa Boga SMK 9 Padang. This type of research is ex-postfacto with causal comparative form. The population in this study is 64 people from class X competency skills of Jasa Boga that have taken subjects F&B Service. The result of the research shows that, 61.5% of students who get breakfast have a high concentration level learning, 53.8% of students who miss breakfast lower concentration of learning and there are significant differences between the concentration of students who get breakfast with students who miss breakfast. The results showed that thitung 30 623 > ttable 2.8817 at  Sig 0:05. It means that there is a difference between the concentration of students who do not get breakfast with the student who get breakfast. The concentration of students who get breakfast are higher than students who miss it.   Kata kunci: konsentrasi belajar, sarapan pagi, f&b service

Abstract

This research aims to increase students’ motivation by using a structured task giving the subjects Indonesian Food processing in SMK N 3 Solok City. It is characterized by frequent permission during school hours, sleepy, dreamy, noisy during lessons, toggle seat while studying, and lack of student initiative in learning. This type of research is a classroom action research. Subject were students of SMK N 3 Solok City Program Study Membership Arrange Boga class XI 2012-2013 school year with  amount of student 20 people. Techniques of data collection using questionnaires and observation sheets. The results showed that the method could improve the provision of structured task motivation that ultimately improve student learning outcomes. For that, use a variety of method need to be applied to the teacher in the learning process. Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the attitude of the PKK’s Tata Boga FT UNP students in PLI from the discipline and the careness. This research is the qualitative descriptive research with ex post facto approach. This research is done in some hotels in Padang such as Basko Premier Hotel, Pangeran Beach Hotel, HayamWuruk Hotel and Rocky Plaza Hotel. The data collection through interview with 10 informants who are the kitchen and pastry supervisor. The data validation is done by triangulation method. The result shows that (1) the students of Tata Boga UNP generally have the good attitude during PLI in some hotels in Padang, (2) the students have the good discipline to their jobs and the role of the industry, only some of them who break the rule, such as their absence during PLI, (3) the students have the good careness to their jobs, their environment, and only some of them still don’t aware of the safety.     Keywords :Discipline, Caraness

Abstract

This research is a descritive quantitave research. Research population are students on subject of design variety of decoration in the field of family welfare periode Januari to June 2013, the number of population are 37 students. Sampling technic is total technical sampling. Data collected by using questionairs likert scale. Tested questionnaire to students in the incoming year 2012 which took a course design ornament by 30 people. To determine logical validity of the instrument in order to be able to know instrument reliability with alpha cronbach formula. Reliability analysis shows that the reliability of questionare is in a very strong group, the data is analysed by technical percentage. Research result shows that in general students creativity is categorized in 4 sub indicators is indicators openness to new experience is in middle category 68,9%, indicators freedom to self express in middle category 66,3%, indicators appreciate fantasy is in middle category 65,5%, indicators respect to idea in middle category 65,0%. Based on score variable distribution in field of decoration variety, it is found not students creativity in the middle category, achievment of questioner analysis in the middle category 66,9%. To sum up that students creativity on subject of design variety of decoration in the field of family welfare faculty of technic state university of padang is middle category.     Hint: Students Creativity, Subject Design Variety of Decoration
