Abstract

Typical Batik Tebo yet well know neven Tebos ociety, because theproblem sare fearedlostits cultural value. This study aimed to describe about thecraft of Batik Tebo which includeforms ofmotive, the meaning containedin themotif, as well astools andmaterials for batik making techniquesin the studioMursida Tebo. The method usedin this researchis descriptive methodqualitatively.Collecting datain this studyis doneby usingthe techni ques of observation,interview sand documentation. Datareviewed andanalyzed byt he stepsof datareduction, data presentation. Data validation was donewith the extensionofobservation, increa sepersistene and triangulation.The results showed that BatikTeboconsists of 11. motif batik bambu runcing, motif batik sialang rajo, motifbatik buah manggis,motif batik rebung nyengum, motif batik serat kayu rengas,motif batik tapak kudo, motif batik bungo tanjung dan buah sawit, motif batiktapak kudo buah sawit, motif batik bungo tanjung,motif batik bungo paku danbuah sawit dan motif batik pawn(koin). Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine facility development strategythat has indicators main tourism facility, supplementing tourism facility, andsupporting tourism facility that are viewed from internal factors form strengthsand weaknesses and external factors form opportunities and threats. This researchis a descriptive research with qualitative data. Data collection technique is done byinterview, observation, and documentation which involves informant by usingpurposive sampling technique and snow-ball sampling technique. Facilitydevelopment strategy that can be: a) Developing main tourism superstructure suchas utilizing civilian house for homestay accommodation and restaurants. b)Provide public transportation that has a special route to the tourist attraction area.c) Developing traditional food products. d) Utilizing and developing potentialland for supplementing tourist superstructure such as recreational facilities such asancient canal as a means of water tourism like game boats and fishing ponds. e)Developing handicraft product through souvenir shop in tourist area.Keywords: Strategy, development, facility

Abstract

This research is a form of associative research with survey method. The goal is to see how big the effect of variable-room amenities is to the guest satisfaction at the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta. In this study the amount of guest who stayed was 8837 people (per month). And 99 people were taken as sample by using incidental sampling technique of sampling. Data collected by the indirect communication through a questionnaire, using “Likert” scale, has been tested for validity and reliability. Engineering analysis is performed using computer program “SPSS version 16.0.Based on research the following results were obtained:(1) The room facility located in the pretty category (48.48%),(2) Satisfaction of the guests were in good category (43.43%),(3) The results of the simple linear regression hypothesis test obtained F count with sig. 0.000 <0.05, so variable room facility has a significant influence on guest satisfaction.Further R Square of 0.156. That means that room facilities affects the guest satisfaction.The remaining 15.6% is influenced by other factors such as customer service, check-in process, the overall food and beverages, sincerity of the staff, and condition of the hotel. Last is the regression coefficient. If Y = a + bX = 31 409 + 0.442 X means that every increase of 1 unit room facilities will increase 0, 442 units of guest satisfaction..Keywords: room facilities, guest satisfaction.

Abstract

 ¹ Prodi Pendidikan Kesejahteraan Keluarga untuk wisuda periode 100 Juni 2014 ² Dosen Jurusan Kesejahteraan Keluarga FT-UNP This research is a descriptive qualitative approach, which aims to describe the batik Kerinci in City Sungai Penuh, include: materials and tools used, motifs and batik techniques. Results of the study revealed: Fabrics used are cotton cloth with brand mori primisima and primed, shantung, silk and semi-silk. Wax used is carik, tembok, biron and recycled wax. The dye used is composed of: 1). Natural dyes that guava leaf extract, skin jengkol, mango leaves, the contents of saffron, onion skins and indigo grass. 2). Synthetic dyestuffs is napthol, indigosol, rapite, procion and Ramazol. Tool is a pencil, centimeters, scissors, wax paper, canting klowong, canting cap, pans, stove oil, canting walls, brush, cardboard, ender, cap table, cloth gloves, rags, cotton bud, scales, aqua glass, spoon plastic, metal spoon, bowl, bucket, scoop, plastic gloves, pot, super, sedok wood, buckets and wood stove. Motifs used is: terung pirus motif, biloik (lumbung padi), Masjid Angung and ukiran Masjid Agung, kulit manis, bungo pandan, pakau imbo, tumpal, tulisan incung, lapek terawang, enceng gondok, selampit simpei, pinggiran, jangki terawang, empat jenis, sirih tanyo, bunga reflesia, cerano, keluk paku, roda pedati, bakul, daun sirih, ketupat and patah tumbuh hilang berganti. Making process include: measuring and cutting cloth (mori), mordanting, patterns, ngelowong and mencap, mencolet, nembok, coloring dan melorot. Kata kunci: Batik Kerinci, Kota Sungai Penuh

Abstract

The background of this study was the lack of utilization of watermelon peel onvariation of foods because it was considered not beneficial, so it became unuseblewaste, whereas watermelon peel has nutritional content and was a potential source ofpectin that can prevent ice cream quickly melted. The purpose of this research was toanalyzed substitution effect of watermelon peel as much as 10%, 15% and 20% tothe quality of color, aroma, texture and taste of ice cream. This type of research waspurely experimental with a completely randomized design method. The data usedwere primary data sourced from 30 semi-trained panelists by proposed theorganoleptic test format. Analyzed of data using ANAVA, if Fcount> Ftable thencontinued with Duncan test. The result of the research showed that there was asignificant influence of watermelon peel substitution on ice cream quality as much as20% produced the best quality, covering aroma (watermelon peel), texture (smooth),texture (not crystalized) and texture (not easy to melted).Keywords: Watermelon peel, Ice Cream, Quality

Abstract

The background of this researchis about the lack of awareness of the beauty salon employees in considering the aspects related to surveillance efforts on health, both individuals and neighborhood beauty salon. The study purposees were to analyze on Hygiene and Sanitation beauty salon business with Primary category in Padang Panjang City include Personal Hygiene and Sanitation beauty salon environment. Researchtype is quantitative descriptive. Research population is the whole beauty salon in Padang Panjang City, amounting to 10 salons with the number of employees 48 people. Samples of the study were the leader / employee beauty salon in Primary category totaling 30 people with purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires and observation are arranged according to a Likert scale and Guttman scale which has proven its validity and reliability. Based on the analysis of Hygiene and Sanitation beauty salon business in Padang Panjang City with indicators; 1) Personal Hygiene in fairly goodcategory (10%), with sub-indicators, namely; a) Maintenance of cleanliness infairly goodcategory (47%), b) Maintenance of cleanliness in very good category (77%). 2) Sanitation neighborhood beauty salon located in fairly good category (27%). The sub-indicators, namely; a) Eligibility beauty salon building in poorly category (7%), b) Quality of water in very good category (60%), c) Waste management is classified in good enough category (0%), d) Control of waste classified in good enough category (9%), e) Health tools and cosmetics materials in quite good category (0%). So, unknown Personal Hygiene and Sanitation beauty salon environment as a whole is still not maximize. Keywords: Hygiene, Sanitation, Beauty Salon Business

Abstract

The purpose of research is to determine the effects of leadership on employee performance Housekeeping department at Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang. This research is research that is associative causal. The population in the study amounted to 34 people. The sampling technique using total sampling, all members of the population defined as a sample. Data collection for the variables supervisor leadership is done by using a questionnaire by using a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. While the data for performance variables are taken from the housekeeping department employee performance reports in 2016. Based on the results showed that the leadership has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. This is indicated by the value of 3.746 > ttable 2.036 and significant level of 0.001 < 0.05. So there is a significant positive effect between leadership (X) on employee performance (Y).Keywords: Leadership, Supervisor, Performance, Housekeeping department

Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive correlational nature that aims to revealthe relationship of a variable bebes (faslitas learning) with the dependent variable(students' classroom subjects Making On Women's Clothing at SMK Negeri 3Full River). Population in peinelitian numbering 30 people. Samples for the studywere taken from the entire population (sampling saturated), according to all classXI students who have taken courses Creating Clothing Women who were 30students. The data of this study consisted of primary data collected directly fromrespondents with instruments such as questionnaires about student learningfacility on the subjects Creating Women's Clothing, and secondary data obtainedfrom the documentation subject teachers Make Women's Clothing. From theresearch shows that the variable Learning Facility middle category (43.3%) andfor variable Learning Outcomes are mostly located in katerori not pass (60%).Can be seen in the calculation of t count (2.390)> from t table (2.048) so thehypothesis is put forward that is acceptable to the coefficient of determination (r2)= 0.169. Meaningful relationship with the learning outcomes of all studentsstudying in class XI course makes women's clothing 16.9%. Abstract

Hand embroidery in Nagari Mungka is inherited from parent to theirdaughters. However, the citizen of Lima Puluh Kota district andsurroundings are not familiar with this. The purpose of this study is todescribe about the types of embroidery, the forms of embroidery design, thetechniques of embroider, and the type of embroidery products. This studyuses qualitative method. The type of data is primary and secondary data.The technique of collecting data through observation, interview anddocumentation. The data analysis technique which uses interactive modelanalysis that is related with subject matter is data reduction model, datapresentation, and conclusion. The results of the study are: first, the handembroidery in Nagari Mungka has six types, there are shadow embroidery,needlepoint arise embroidery, flat embroidery, fantasy embroidery, ribbonembroidery, and attach mute and sequins. Second, the design of this isnatural (plants and animals) and geometric (other objects). There havethirteen of it. There are stalk, leaf, roses, jasmine, hibiscus, sunflower, lotus,taro, tulips, butterflies, Itiak pulang patang, triangle and roda-roda isi.Third, the techniques of embroider in Nagari Mungka has two types. First,tarranging thread decoratively technique. Second, lekapan technique.Finally, the embroidery in Nagari Mungka produces material of bajukurung, materials of dress, mukenah, and veil .

Abstract

The purpose of the research as an effort to solve the college students problem in Textile Analysis lectures at Pinching Tecnique.Thereare the difficulties in making pattern/motif and coloring process of pinching fubric. This purpose head for resulting media in valid and practical. This research was known as Research & Development (R&D). The research procedures include define, design and develop stages. The data was from validity test, small group and big group of college students practicallity test, and advisor of Textile Analysis leature subject. The validity test given to 3 validator, practicallity test given to 10 college students, big group practicallity test given to 30 college students and given to 1 advisor of Textile Analysis lectures subject. Based validity test the researcher got score 4,56 which categorized as valid. The result of practicallity test from small group was got score 78,50% which categorized as practical, big group test was got score 80,04% which categorized as very practical and test from advisor of lectures subject was got score 83,33% which categorized as very practical. So this module is proper to use as learning media.Keyword: Module, Pinching Tecnique, Valid and Practical.
