Abstract

This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach, which the is aims to describe the of embroidery in Sungai Penuh City, Jambi Province. The research inludes the shape of motifs, the pattern of motifs and color combinations of embroidery in Sungai Penuh City, Jambi province. Results of study revealed that: 1) Forms of embroidary motifs in the Sungai Penuh City, Jambi Province is naturalist form consists of kaluak paku, betel leaf, flower coffee, coffee leaves. 2) The decorative shape is the pattern of motifs that incung Kerinci. The patterns of motifs used in embroidery in the Sungai Penuh City, Jambi province sow ornamental paterns, decorative patterns periphery (periphery stands, periphery dependent, periphery run), free ornamental patterns and decorative patterns field. 3) The combinations of colors embroidery in the Sungai Penuh City, Jambi Province is the combinations of contrasting colors, the combinations of harmonious colors and, the combinations colors of polikromatis. Abstract

This research was motivated by the good tailoring techniques are applied to the Bola Dunia Tailor in Pondok City Padang which includes models , materials , patterns and sewing techniques , resulting in a very good quality clothing . This study aims to determine the application of tailoring techniques to Bola Dunia tailor  in  Pondok  CityPadang which includes the application of models , materials , patterns and sewing techniques . The method used is a qualitative case study method . This research was conducted in the  city of Padang , data collection by observation , interviews , and documentation . Data analysis techniques are used , namely data reduction , data presentation and making conclusions . To obtain valid data in a way an extension of the observations , increase persistence , triangulation and auditing . The results of this study revealed that : 1 ) Model fashion tailoring techniques that made ​​Suit ( Suits ), which is also called the Jas . 2 ) The main material used is woll fibrous materials and semi- woll , auxiliary materials ( coatings ) coatings are used first ( Underlining ) consisting of cufner thick and thin , reinforcement material ( Interfacing ) consisting of Vukuda , cufner suits and velvet collar , and the last furing ( Lining ) sateen , complementary materials used are shoulder cushion ( padding ) , and the buttons are large and small . 3 ) The pattern used is a pattern that is constructed directly above the material . 4 ) sewing techniques sewing techniques used are in accordance with the sequence of work steps , such as installing a coating material ( fusing ) , bringing together the parts of suits , and the final settlement is done by using machine tools and manuals .   Kata Kunci: Penerapan, Teknik, Tailoring

Abstract

Improved quality of salted egg conducted by creating a new variant, one of which with the addition of garlic. This research aims to analyze the effect of the addition of garlic as much as 0%, 15%, 30% and 45% of the quality colour, aroma, texture, and taste the salty eggs. Type of research is true experimental with completely randomized design method. Variables used are variable X (garlic) and the variable Y (quality of salted eggs). The data used was obtained directly from 30 semi trained panelists. Data analyzed by using ANAVA, if different real continued with Test Duncan. The results showed there is the influence of the addition of garlic to the quality of the scent is not fishy, garlic aroma, taste salty, savory taste, aroma and taste of the hedonic. There is no real influence on quality of the color orange, white eggs on a chewy texture, granulated texture in egg yolk, hedonic color and texture of salted egg hedonic. The quality of salted eggs best use garlic as much as 45% (X3).Keywords: Garlic, Quality of Organoleptic, Salted Eggs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Quality service in satoo restaurant HW Hotel Padang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. Population of this research amounting to 255 person. The technical take of sampling using purposive sampling amounting 72 person. Collecting data using a questionnaire based on Likert Scale which has proven its validity and reliability. The results showed that overall quality service belong to a category good enough with the average value of 3,06 which were in the range 2,61-3,40. While based on individual indicators is: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and tangibles belong to a category good enough in range 2,61-3,40. while empathy belong to a category good with the average value of 3,82 in range 3,41-4,20.

Abstract

The purpose of research is describe the form of suntiang mangkuto and analyze the inner meaning of suntiang mangkuto . This research is a descriptive kualitatif. Object this research is suntiang mangkuto. Data collection techniques with observation, interview and documentation. Analysis techniques with reduction data, display of data and conclusion. The results of resesearch obtained form suntiang mangkuto resembles a crown shape with a diameter of 17,1 cm has 4 support bars with a width of 2 cm has wide range of decorative flora and fauna materials used for the manufacture of suntiang mangkuto the original and the latest. The meaning of philosophy contained in suntiang mangkuto is that women in minangkabau should not uphold the heavy burden. Suntiang mangkuto show beauty and serves as a golden yellow colored flowers on suntiang mangkuto symbolizes custom rules and customary philosophy in minangkabau that is nature takambang be a teacher.2Keywords : Suntiang Mangkuto, clothes, Minangkabau

Abstract

The purpose of research is to determine the foreign tourists’ perceptions about the quality of service of front desk agent four star hotels in Padang. This research consists of five indicators are: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and epathy. The type of this research is descriptive research using survey method with population amounted to 310 people. Sampling technique is proportional random sampling with sample amounted to 76 people. The data was collected using a questionnaire based on a Likert scale that tested for validity and reliability. Based on the results of the study concluded that the foreign tourists’ perceptions about quality of service of front desk agent four star hotels in Padang are less in two indicators, assurance and empathy.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to analyze the different affect of tapioca’s composition which 15%, 25%, 35% to the quality of shape, colour, flavor, texture and the taste ofcatfish bakso. The kind of this research is experimental using complete randomdesign with 1 factor which is the amount of tapioca’s with difference the composition(15%, 25%, 35%) with 4 times repeat, that did in the Tata Boga Jurusan KK FT UNPworkshop in December 2012. The hypothesis shows that there is an affect of the usedof tapioca’s 15%, 25% and 35% to the catfish bakso quality. Tapioca’s compositionshows that the us of 15% tapioca’s give the better affect to the flavor, savory, and leletaste dominantly. For the 25% tapioca’s give the better affect to all indicators. Andfor the 35% tapioca’s give the better affect to the colour, chewy texture, smooth fibertexture and for the hedonic test shows that bakso with 25% tapioca’s is mostlyfavored.Keywords : bakso, catfish, tapioca

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the perception of tourists on promotion and facilities Adityawarman museum in the city of Padang which includes indicators: Advertising (advertising), form, function, location, and quality. As the population is a tourist attraction in the city of Padang Museum Adityawarman numbering 77,389 people. Sampling technique as for the non-probability sampling is incidental sampling with number 100. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive analysis with categorization method based on the average assessment scores. Based on the analysis of data traveler perceptions about promotion Adityawarman museum in the city of Padang relatively less well with the average of 2.12 and a variable facility is quite good with an average of 3.37. Where the indicator 1) form of tourist facilities belong to either category with an average value of (3.63), 2) belong to the category of facility function quite well with the average value of (3.40), 3) the location of facilities classified the category quite well with the average value of (3.21), 4) the quality of tourist facilities belong to the category of fairly good with an average value of 3.32.Keyword: Perception, Promotion and Facility, Tourist.

Abstract

The purpose of research is describethe rule, shape and meaning of clothing philosophy attended the wedding event for woman in Kenagarian VII Koto Talago Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. This study is a descriptive kualitatif study. Object this study is rule, shape and meaning of clothing philosophy attended the wedding event for woman in Kenagarian VII Koto Talago Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Data collection techniques with observation, interview and documentation. Analysis techniques with reduction data, display of data and conclusion. The results showed that rules about attending marriage attire have written rules socialized, clothing used by Bundo Kanduang used kuruang basiba clotch, tingkuluak kompong, salempang, saruang2jao and slipper which is closed on the front. The meaning of philosophy contained in kuruang basiba clotch is women must be careful field, not selfish, can accept input from others, open and willing to associate with anyone. Tingkuluak kompong has a meaning, minang women are people who are customary and religious. The sling describes Bundo Kanduang as having a great responsibility towards her husband and child. Sarung batik with a cloth head placed on the back contains meaning, wherever he goes should always remember the child and her husband waiting at home. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of standard operatingprocedures make up occupied dirty room at Hotel Pangeran Beach Padang wereevaluated from eight indicators namely: Access to the room, the first step whenyou are in the room, stripping, making beds, dusting, cleaning the bathroom,vacuum carpet and recheking. This type of research is descriptive with qualitativedata. Data collection techniques performed by using the method of observation,interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application ofstandard operating procedures make up occupied dirty room at Hotel PangeranBeach Padang is generally not good, because there are several indicators that didnot applied correctly by all roomboy. On indicators dusting, cleaning thebathroom and vacuum the carpet all roomboy not apply SOP correctly. Whileother indicators have been applied correctly by four of the eight people roomboy.Keyword: Application of SOP, Make Up Occupied Dirty Room
