Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan lingkungan sekolah dan minat belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Cendrawasih Kecamatan Mlonggo Kabupaten Jepara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 100 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik Proportional Cluster Random Sampling. Alat pengumpul data berupa kuesioner, tes soal dan dokumentasi. Analisis data terdiri dari analisis deskriptif, analisis data awal/uji prasyarat analisis, analisis data akhir menggunakan uji hipotesis dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan lingkungan sekolah dengan hasil belajar IPS dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,640; (2) terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan minat belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPS dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,665; (3) terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan lingkungan sekolah dan minat belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,696. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahwa terdapat hubungan lingkungan sekolah dan minat belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Cendrawasih Kecamatan Mlonggo Kabupaten Jepara. Saran berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini adalah guru hendaknya menyesuaikan kondisi lingkungan sekolah dan meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. This study was aimed at knowing the relationship between school environment and learning interest with the fourth grade students' learning achievement of social science lesson (IPS) in State Elementary Schools Cluster Cendrawasih, Mlonggo subdistrict, Jepara District. Moreover, this study belonged to correlational study with quantitative approach. Further, the sample of this study many as 100 students taken by Proportional Cluster Random Sampling technique. The data collection techniques were questionnaire, test and documentation. The data analysis covered descriptive analysis, initial data analysis/ prerequisite analysis, and final data analysis using hypothesis test and regression analysis. The results showed: (1) there was a positive and significant correlation between school environment and the learning achievement of IPS lessonwith correlation coefficient of 0.640; (2) there was a positive and significant correlation between learning interest andthe learning achievement of IPS lesson with correlation coefficient of 0.665; (3) there was a positive and significant correlation between school environment and learning interest with IPS lesson's learning achievement with correlation coefficient of 0.696. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between school environment and learning interest with the IPS lesson's learning achievement ofthe fourth grade students ofState Elementary Schools Cluster Cendrawasih. Mlonggo Subdistrict, Jepara District. Furthermore, it is suggestedthat teachers should be supposed to adapt with the school environment andimprove students' learning interest.

Abstract

Pembelajaran SBK di kelas V SD Negeri Growong Lor 01 pada kegiatan praktik membuat kerajinan tangan masih kurang bervariatif dan kreativitas siswa masih tergolong rendah, sehingga hasil belajar siswa belum sesuai dengan KKM. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui desain boneka jari, kelayakan dan hasil belajar siswa dari praktik membuat boneka jari dalam pembelajaran SBK di SD Negeri Growong Lor 01 Juwana Pati. Jenis dan desain penelitian Research and Development menurut pengembangan Sugiyono. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SDN Growong Lor 01 yang berjumlah 40 siswa, dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dengan jumlah 40 siswa. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan angket, dokumentasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, menunjukkan hasil pengembangan desain boneka jari berdasarkan validasi pakar produk 80,9% dan materi 85,41% telah memenuhi kriteria layak, tanggapan guru dan siswa telah memenuhi kriteria baik, dan terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest dalam pembelajaran SBK sebesar 0,44 dan hasil penilaian boneka jari mencapai rata-rata 83,125. Simpulan penelitian bahwa pengembangan desain boneka jari menjadikan guru lebih terampil dan kreatif dalam mengajak siswa belajar membuat karya kerajinan tangan dan siswa lebih terampil dan aktif dalam praktik membuat kerajinan tangan.. Saran bagi guru agar tercipta pembelajaran efektif, berkualitas, menyenangkan; siswa dapat lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran dan menciptakan produk yang inovatif sehingga dapat mendukung dalam meningkatkan kualitas sekolah. The Arts, Culture, and Craftsmanship learning in grade V SD Negeri Growong Lor 01 in case of the practicum activities of creating the handicrafts is still too low, so the learning outcome of the student still did not fulfill the minimum mastery standard. The purpose of the research is to find out the finger puppets design, appropriateness and effectiveness of the finger puppets as teaching tools in SD Negeri Growong Lor 01 Juwana Pati. This is Research and Development referring to the design developed by Sugiyono. The population in the research was the students of grade V SDN Growong Lor 01 about 40 children, the survey sampling applied was census survey about 40 children. The applied data collection techniques were questionnaire fulfilling, interviews, documentation, and testing. The research shows that the products of finger puppets design advancement based on medium expert validation i.e. 80.9% and material one i.e. 85.41% fulfills the criteria of appropriateness, the responses of the teacher and the students fulfilled the criteria of good, and average grade points of pretest and posttest in arts, culture, and craftsmanship learning at 0,44 and the result of finger puppets products assessment at average point of 83,125. From the research, a conclusion is that the developed finger puppets are making teachers more skilled and creative in teaching students practice in making craft and making students more active and skilled in learning activities of arts, culture and craftsmanship. The suggestion for the teachers in order to create the effective, high-qualified, enjoyable, and meaningful learning to the students, the teachers need to improve their skills in case of developing and using the innovative product tools to promote the school quality improvement.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran, mengkaji tingkat kevalidan, dan menguji keefektifan media pembelajaran buku saku IPA materi gerak benda kelas III SDN 1 Kemloko Grobogan. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development, dengan subjek peserta didik kelas III SDN Anggaswangi untuk uji coba soal dan uji coba produk skala kecil dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling serta SDN 1 Kemloko untuk uji coba pemakaian skala besar menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, angket, dokumen, observasi, dan tes pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa buku saku IPA materi gerak benda memiliki kriteria layak berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi sebesar 80%, media sebesar 79%, dan praktisi sebesar 80%. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan juga memiliki kriteria baik ditinjau dari perbedaan rata-rata serta peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik. Ini terbukti dari hasil analisis menggunakan uji-t berpasangan (related sample t-test) diperoleh t-hitung =12,5 > t-tabel = 2,05 dikategorikan pencapaian signifikan, didukung dengan hasil analisis N-gain sebesar 0,5 dengan tingkat pencapaian sedang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan disimpulkan buku saku IPA materi gerak benda kelas III SD layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Abstract The purpose of this study is to improve the learning media, to inspect the level of validity and to examine the effectiveness the motion object material pocket book science learning media in the third grade of SDN 1 Kemloko Grobogan. The study is the research and development, by the subject of SDN Anggaswangi student in the third grade to the trial question an small scale product using random sampling technique and also by scale product by using sample jenuh technique. The collecting data technique used is interview, inquiry, document, observation, and multiple choice test. The result of the study shows that the developed learning media is the motion object material pocket book science which it has eligible criteria based on assesment of material expert by 80 percent, media by 79 percent and practitioner by 80 percent. The developed learning media is also has a good criteria in terms of the average difference and the improvement of study learning result. Its proved from the analysis result using couple t-test (related sample t-test) got by t-calculation = 12,5 > t-table = 2,05 included the significant attainment, supported by the analysis result N-gain by 0,5 in medium attainment. Based on calculation result concluded that the motion object material pocket book science is effective used in the learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menguji hubungan antara minat baca dan kebiasaan membaca dengan kemampuan membaca pemahaman; (2) menentukan besarnya kontribusi minat baca dan kebiasaan membaca dengan kemampuan membaca pemahamansiswa kelas V SD, Gugus Suroto, Kecamatan Mungkid, Kabupaten Magelang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasi dengan menggunakan 77 sampel, dipilih menggunakan teknik propotional random sampling. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasi. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD, Gugus Suroto, Kecamatan Mungkid, Kabupaten Magelang sebanyak 77 siswa. Dipilih menggunakan teknik propotional random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup, dokumentasi dan tes. Analisis dan uji prasyarat dilakukan dengan uji normalitas, linieritas dan multikolinieritas. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan analisis korelasi sederhana, korelasi ganda, regresi linier sederhana, regresi linier ganda dan korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian ini adalah minat baca dan kebiasaan membaca berhubungan positif dan signifikan dengan kemampuan membaca pemahaman sebesar 55% pada siswa kelas V SD di Gugus Suroto (r=0,746, R= 0,556). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara minat baca dan kebiasaan membaca dengan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus Suroto Kecamatan Mungkid Magelang This research was aimed to: 1) testing correlation between reading interest, reading habbit with the ability of reading comprehension; 2) discover the contribution reading interest and reading habbit with the ability of reading comprehension on fifth grade class students at State Elementary School of Suroto Cluster Mungkid sub-district Magelang regency.It was a correlational research using 77 samples, selected using proportional random sampling technique. Instruments used to collect data were test,interview, and documentation. Data was analyzed using a descriptive analysis. The pre-condition test was conducted by normality, linearity, and multikolinierity tests. The hypothesis examination was conducted by a simple correlation, simple linier regresion, multiple correlations and multiple linier regresion. This research result was reading interest (X1) and reading Habbit (X2) jointly positively and significantly related to the reading comprehension (Y) amount 55% on fifth grade class students at state elementary school of Suroto Cluster (r=0,746 and R2= 0,556). There was a correlation of reading interest, reading habbit and the ability of reading comprehension on fifth grade class students at State Elementary School of Suroto Cluster Mungkid sub-district Magelang regency.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Gugus Pangeran Cendono Kudus pada pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan model Learning Cycle dan Inquiry dibandingkan Explicit Instruction terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN Gugus Pangeran Cendono Kudus. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu berdesain NonequivalentControl Group Design. Pengambilan sampel berteknik purposive sampling. Data analisis menggunakan uji t dengan rumus independent sample t test dengan taraf signifikasi 5% (0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukan; (1) rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen I lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Mean posttest kelas eksperimen I sebesar 80,864 dan mean posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 71,333.; (2) rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen II lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Mean posttest kelas eksperimen II sebesar 76,129 dan mean posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 71,333.; dan (3) rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen I lebih besar dibandingkan kelas eksperimen II. Mean posttest kelas eksperimen I sebesar 80,864 dan mean posttest kelas eksperimen II sebesar 76,129. Simpulan model Learning Cycle lebih efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPA siswa kelas V SDN Gugus Pangeran Cendono Kudus The background of the research was the result in science of achivement for fifth grade not yet optimum. The purpose of this research was to examine the effectiveness of model Learning Cycle and Inquiry in science teachingeducation on the education achievement for fifth grade of state elementary school Pangeran Cendono Kudus. This research used quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The technical sampling is purposive sampling.Data analysis used the average difference test with a formula independent sample t test with significance level of 5% (0.05). The resultsof research showed that; (1) the first experimental class posttest mean higher than the control class. The first experimental class posttest mean is 80,864 and the control posttest mean is 71,333.; (2) the second experimental class posttest mean higher than the control class. The second experimental class posttest mean is 76,129 and the control class posttest mean is 71,333.; and (3) the first experimental class posttest mean higher than the second experimental class. The first experimental class posttest mean is 80,864 and the second experimental class posttest mean is 76,129. The conclusion of this research was Learning Cycle model more effective used for science teaching education in fifth grade of state elementary school Pangeran Cendono Kudus.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan media diorama IPApada materi peristiwa alam. Penelitian pengembangan (R&D) ini diadaptasi dari model pengembanganSugiyono. Hasil pengembangan media divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Untuk uji skala kecil dipilih 6siswa kelas V SDN Gunungsari dan uji skala besar di SDN 2 Candisari dengan jumlah 23 siswa. Data penelitianini diperoleh observasi, tes, angket dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data produk,analisis data awal/uji persyaratan analisis, uji t, dan uji gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media dioramalayak untuk digunakan. Dari hasil validasi materi diperoleh persentase sebesar 90% kriteria sangat layak dan ahlimedia mendapat persentase 88,3% kriteria sangat layak, dan tanggapan guru mendapat rerata persentase sebesar91,25% kriteria sangat layak. Tanggapan siswa mendapat rerata persentase 86% kriteria sangat layak. Hasilbelajar pretest dan posttest dihitung menggunakan N-Gain mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,36 dengan kategorisedang. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan uji t-test (Paired Samples Test), pada output diketahui Sig (2-tailed) =0,000 < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak, artinya terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan hasil belajar IPA sebelum dansesudah menggunakan media diorama berbasis PjBL. Kesimpulannya media diorama berbasis PjBL yangdikembangkan, layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas V SDN 2 Candisari. Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the advisability and the effectiveness ofdiorama media in the subject of science in the natural event material. This study development (R &D) was adapted from the Sugiyono development model. Media development results was validatedby media experts and material experts. 6 students of the fifth grade of SDN Gunungsari waschoosen for small scale test, and 23 students of SDN 2 Candisari was choosen for large scale test.This research data obtained by observation, test, questionnaire and document. The data analysistechnique used product data analysis, initial data analysis / analysis requirements test, t test, andgain test. The result shows that diorama media was advisable to be used. From the result ofmaterial validation obtains criteria percentage of 90% that includes very advisable criteria and themedia expert gets a percentage of 88,3% that includes very advisable criteria, and the teacher'sfeedback gets an average percentage of 91,25% which includes very advisable criteria. The students'feedbacks get an average percentage of 86% which includes advisable criteria. Study results pretestand posttest are calculated by using the N-Gain has increased by 0,36 in the medium category.Based on the hypothesis test by t-test (Paired Samples Test) on the output is known Sig (2-tailed) =0,000 <0,05 that means Ho is rejected, it means there is a significant difference in Science learningoutcomes before and after using the diorama media based on the PjBL. In conclusion the dioramamedia based on the PjBL which is being developed is advisable and effectiveto be used in theScience learning to the fifth grade of SDN 2 Candisari.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar berkarakteristik Problem Based Learning, mengkajikevalidan, keefektifan, serta kepraktisan bahan ajar berbasis Problem Based Learning. Jenis penelitianResearch and Development (R&D). Metode penelitian dari Sugiyono; analisis tahap potensi dan masalah,pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, uji coba pemakaian danproduk akhir. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa dan guru kelas V SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantara Rembang.Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan datamenggunakan wawancara, tes, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; produk bahan ajaryang dikembangkan valid dan layak, persentase kelayakan isi 83,3% (layak), aspek kelayakan penyajian 87,5%(sangat layak), aspek kelayakan model Problem Based Learning 85,7% (sangat layak), aspek kelayakankegrafikan 87,5% (sangat layak), dan aspek kelayakan kebahasaan 80% (layak). Berdasarkan uji t dengan nilaisignifikansi 0.000 < 0,05 dan uji gain yang bernilai 0,42 dengan kategori sedang berarti bahan ajar efektifdigunakan. Bahan ajar berbasis Problem Based Learning praktis digunakan, persentase respon guru secaraklasikal 84,1% (positif), persentase respon siswa secara klasikal 86,8% (sangat positif). Simpulan penelitian,bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berkarakteristik Problem Based Learning, valid untuk digunakan, efektifmeningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran. AbstractThis research aimed to produce learning material based on problem based learning, to know validity,effectiveness, and the eligibility of learning material. This research was Research and Development (R & D),used the model of Sugiyono which consist of potential and problem analysis, data collection, productdesigning, product validation, product revision, product testing, operational testing, and final product. Thesubject of this research were students and teachers of class V at SD Ki Hajar Dewantara Rembang cluster. Thesampling technique used simple random sampling. The data collection technique used interview, test,questionnaire and documentation. The result showed: the teaching material which developed was valid andproper, percentage of content eligibility was 83,3% (valid), serving eligibility was 87,5% (very valid),graphical eligibility was 87,5% (very valid), problem based learning model eligibility was 85,7% (very valid),and language eligibility was 80% (valid). Based on t-test significance value which was 0,000 < 0,05 and gaintest was 0,42 with medium criteria, material learning was effective. Material learning based on problem basedlearning was practical to be used, the classical percentage from teacher which was 84,1% (positive) andstudent’s response percentage which was 86,8% (very positive). The conclusion of this research were learningmaterial was developed based on problem based learning valid to be used, effective to improve learningoutcomes, and practice to be used in learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak perhatian orang tua, sarana prasarana belajar di rumah dan hasil belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan siswa kelas V SD Gugus Sudirman Kecamatan Gajahmungkur Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah orang tua dan siswa kelas V SD Negeri di gugus Sudirman kecamatan Gajahmungkur Semarang. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah ruang belajar di rumah, orang tua, kegiatan belajar siswa di rumah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah, pedoman wawancara, angket, observasi dan dokumentasi foto serta hasil belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk perhatian orang tua di rumah untuk mendukung hasil belajar berupa penyediaan fasilitas belajar di rumah, membantu kegiatan belajar anak, bantuan mengatur waktu belajar anak dan bantuan mengatasi kesulitan anak dalam belajar. Bentuk sarana dan prasarana belajar yang diberikan orang tua untuk mendukung hasil belajar siswa dapat berupa tersedianya dan layaknya tempat belajar, media informasi, alat tulis, koleksi buku, penerangan tempat belajar, kursi belajar, meja belajar, ventilasi ruang belajar dan papan tempel. Dampak dari perhatian orang tua dan kelengkapan sarana prasarana adalah semakin baik perhatian orang tua dan sarana prasarana belajar, maka akan semakin baik pula hasil belajar siswa di sekolah. The purpose of this study is to know the impact of parents’ attention, facilities for study at home and learning outcomes of Civic Education of fifth grade students of SD Gugus Sudirman Kecamatan Gajahmungkur, Semarang. This study used qualitative research procedure. Research subjects of the study were the parents and the fifth grade students of SD Gugus Sudirman, Kecamatan Gajahmungkur, Semarang. Objects of the study were room for study at home, parents, students learning activities at home. Instruments used in this study were interview guides, questionnaire, observation and documentation of photos and students learning outcomes. Data analysis technique was used is content analysis technique.The result of the study showed that attention of the parents at home to support the learning outcomes in the form of provision of facilities for study at home, it help the learning activities of the children, a help to manage the children’s learning time and a help to overcome the difficulties of the children in learning. The form of facilities for study provided by parents to support the students learning outcomes can be in the form of availability of a proper learning room, information media, stationeries, book collections, lighting in the study room, chairs, desk, the study room ventilation and notice board. The impact of the attention of the parents and the completeness of the facilities for study are the better the parents' attention and the facilities for study, the better the students learning outcomes at school.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan penguasaan struktur kalimat dan kosakata dengan keterampilan menulis narasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Populasi penelitian adalah 169 siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Nyi Ageng Serang, Kecamatan Tugu, Kota Semarang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 80 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis korelasi, dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara penguasaan struktur kalimat dan kosakata dengan keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Nyi Ageng Serang Kecamatan Tugu Kota Semarang ditunjukkan dengan nilai rhitung 0,773 lebih besar daripada nilai r tabel 0,220 (0,773>0,220) pada N=80 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Besarnya kontribusi penguasaan struktur kalimat dan kosakata terhadap keterampilan menulis narasi sebesar 59,8%, karena itu dapat dinyatakan bahwa penguasaan struktur kalimat dan kosakata memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Nyi Ageng Serang Kecamatan Tugu Kota Semarang. This research aimed to test the correlation mastery of sentence structure, vocabulary and narrative writing skills. This research used the quantitative method with correlation design. The research population was a total of 169 fourth grade students of primary school Gugus Nyi Ageng Serang, Tugu, Semarang. The samples in this research was 80 students. The data collection method was used test and documentation. The data analysis technique was used descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results showed a positive correlation between mastery of sentence structure, vocabulary and narrative writing skills with r count 0,773 greater than r table 0.220 (0,773>0,220) on n=80 with significance level of 0,05. The contribution of mastery of sentence structure and vocabulary for narrative writing skills of 59,8%. Therefore, this research concluded that mastery of sentence structure and mastery of vocabulary has a positive and significance correlation with narrative writing skills was a fourth grade students of primary school Gugus Nyi Ageng Serang, Tugu, Semarang.

Abstract

Permasalahan keterampilan menulis pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantoro adalah siswa masih kesulitan untuk memulai menulis, menemukan ide, dan mengorganisasikan karangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji keefektifan model examples non examples daripada model konvensional terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi pada siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantoro Kabupaten Sragen. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain eksperimen semu bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantoro Kabupaten Sragen. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan insidental sampling sebagai kelas eksperimen, kontrol, dan uji coba. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji kesamaan rata-rata, uji hipotesis, dan uji n gain. Hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan nilai t hitung adalah 2,268; nilai t tabel dengan df 42 adalah 1,648; data tersebut menunjukan bahwa t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel maka Ha diterima. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model examples non examples lebih efektif daripada model konvensional terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi pada siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantoro Kabupaten Sragen. ABSTRACT The problem of the Indonesian language subject of writing skill in group of Ki Hajar Dewantoro Elementary School is that students still find difficulties to begin writing, discovering ideas, and organising essays. The purpose of this research is to test the effectiveness of “examples non examples” rather than “the konvensional model” on the student description essay writing skill at fourth-grade in group of Ki Hajar Dewantoro Elementary School, Sragen Regency. The type of this research is quasi experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research is all fourth-grade students in group of Hasanuddin Elementary School, Batang Regency. The sampling technique uses incidental sampling as the experimental, control, and trial class. Data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test, average equality test, hypothesis test, and n gain test. Hypothesis test results obtained that t count value is 2.268; t table value with df 42 is 1.648. The data shows that t count is greater than t table so that Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted. The conclusion of this research is the mind mapping model is more effective than the example non example model on the student description essay writing skill at fourth-grade in group of Ki Hajar Dewantoro Elementary School, Sragen Regency.
