Abstract

IUP OP Jumaidi is one of the mining business licenses engaged in mining, especially clay mining and trading, which is located in Gunung Sarik Village, Kuranji District, Padang City, West Sumatra Province. Based on field observations at the IUP OP Jumaidi, the authors found that there are manufactured slopes or former mining slopes consisting of slope-forming material, namely clay, with a slope geometry of 44 meters high and a slope of 45o. The existence of mining activities, such as excavation, and transportation of material on the slopes forms the final slope (ex-mining slope) whose stability is not yet known, so it is feared that there will be a landslide hazard. The collapse of the slope in the horizontal plane adjacent to the access to the mining deposit area in 2022 could disrupt mining activities in the IUP OP Jumaidi. The method used in this study is the Bioshop Simplified with a standard safety value of > 1.3. The results of testing the physical properties and mechanical properties of the slopes are the natural bulk density of 16.33 kN/m3, the dry bulk weight of 12.45 kN/m3 and the saturated weight of 17.25 kN/m3. Meanwhile, the cohesion value is 41,256 kN/m3 and the internal shear angle is 25,09o. Based on the parameter values of the physical and mechanical properties of soil in the laboratory, the safety factor value according to the Bioshop Simplified in natural conditions is 1.027, while the safety factor value of the Hoek and Bray in dry conditions is 1.17 and for saturation condition of 0.93. The results showed that the FK value obtained a single slope geometry recommendation with a slope of 35o with a safety factor (FK) of 1.377 in natural conditions according to the bioshop. While the value of the safety factor (FK) in the saturated condition is 1.350. And the double slope according to the Bishop method, the factor of safety (FK) in the natural state is 1.341, and the value of the safety factor (FK) in the saturated condition is 1,309.recommended to use a double slope slope with a bench width of 16 meters and a slope of 39o. The volume to be peeled is 29034.79 bcm.

Abstract

PT. Bumi Karya Makmur is one of the companies engaged in coal mining contractors. PT. Bumi Karya Makmur is a mining contractor trusted by PT. International Prima Coal as the holder of IUP OP (Production Operation Mining Business License) to carry out coal mining activities which located in Bantuas, Palaran District, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province. Mining activity is carried out using the Open Pit Mining method. In May 2021, a landslide occurred on the western slopes of Pit Eagle 1 which have made  disrupted mining activities because the front work was buried by slope of landslide material. The landslide was caused by the actual geometry of the slopes in the field which is too steep around 80° for single slope and there were puddles of water on the slopes that makes the slope in the saturated state. The slope stability analysis of the western area at Pit Eagle 1 used the Probabilistic Monte Carlo method, where the initial soil data were: cohesion (c) = 93,272 kN/m2 and internal shear angle (ϕ) = 20,122˚; sandstone: (c) = 87,886 kN/m2 and (ϕ) = 28,014; mudstone: c = 129.983 kN/m2 and = 31,317˚. Analysis the value of the factor of safety (FK), the probability of landslides (PK), and slope geometry recommendation using the Bishop Simplified method. The results of this research are, firstly, the slope safety factor value at Pit Eagle 1 in the saturated state before the landslide is 1.253 with a landslide probability value of 0%, in the semi-saturated state with FK value is 1.602 with a landslide probability value of 0% and the dry state with a FK value of 1.802 with a probability of avalanche 0%. Secondly, back analysis on the Pit Eagle 1 landslide area resulted in the value of the geotechnical parameter Soil (C) = 88.6 kN/m2 (ϕ) = 20,122o; Sandstone: (c) = 87,886 kN/m2 and (ϕ) = 28,014o; Mudstone (C) = 69.65 kN/m2 (ϕ) = 23.316o. Third, the geometry recommendation of slope at Pit Eagle 1 with an overall slope height of 40 meters, that namely with an overall slope angle of 52˚ with a single slope height of 8 meters, a bench width of 5 meters, and a single slope angle for Soil and Sandstone materials, while for a single slope angle for Mudstone materials is 70°.

Abstract

PT. Allied Indo Coal Jaya conducts mining using open pit mining and underground mining methods. With coal prices relatively rising, the company plans to expand mining area in Eastern Pit. The references in the pit expansion plan and strategic mining plan is to estimate and model resources. The estimation of resources at PT Allied Indo Coal Jaya uses a comparison of the Geostatistics method (OrdinaryaKriging) with the Conventional (Polygon) method. Which Geostatistics method is more favored because it considers spatiality. Ordinary Kriging tends to produce block estimates that are more evenly distributed or less varied than the actual levels. The methode Polygon is a conventional method and is commonly applied to deposits that are relatively homogeneous and have a simple geometry. From the results of estimating and modeling coal resources in the Pit Timur of PT Allied Indo Coal Jaya, the OrdinaryaKriging method provides total coal resource of 5,678,887.5atons and the Polygon method provides total coal resource of 6,537,342atons. Meanwhile, in the comparison of resource models from the two methods with original situation using correlation analysis, the value of the coefficient of determination in the Ordinary Kriging method was obtained more large compared to Polygon method.

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Kalimantan Prima Persada is a coal mining company, one of its working locations is PT. PCN (Prolindo Cipta Nusantara) The mining pit is named the Majapahit Pit. At the Majapahit Pit, a new road was built that functions for the overburden transportation road, namely Jalan Arjunasastra and Jalan Putri Gunung Buih. Many road segments have non-ideal road geometry, based on speed data of Komatsu HD 785-7 loaded and unloaded equipment it was found that 35.48 km/hour and 12.01 km/hour. This is not in accordance with the company's target, where the target speed of the HD 785-7 conveyance is 17 km/hour and 50 km/h empty. As a result of not achieving the speed, it will affect the production of transportation equipment in March-April, based on data on the production of Komatsu HD 785-7 transportation equipment, which is actually 231.860 Bcm but the company's target is 288.000 Bcm. As a result of not achieving production, it affects the value of the fuel ratio of the conveyance. Based on fuel ratio data, the actual conveyance is 0.68 Bcm/hour but the company's target is 0.54 Bcm/hour.The effect of total resistance on speed is inversely proportional, meaning that if the total resistance increases, the speed decreases. And the effect of total resistance on the fuel ratio is directly proportional, meaning that if the total resistance increases, the fuel ratio increases. This is in accordance with the results of the improvement. After repairs were made, it was found that the speed value for the loaded condition increased to 17.91 Km/hour and the empty condition became 50.05 Km/hour so that it increased by about 40%, for the production of transportation equipment it increased to 294,307 Bcm/hour so that it rose 23,52% and fuel ratio decreased to 0.54 Bcm/hour so that the fuel ratio decreased by 25,93%.

Abstract

Observation data for limestone production in the PNBP block of PT. Semen Padang did not reach the target in August 2022 due the low effective working time of the excavator, which was 278.7 hours/month for the Hitachi EX 2500 and 296 hours/month for the Caterpillar 6030 Excavators out of 558 hours/month available working time. Analysis of the productivity of working hours of tools needs to be done to overcome these problems,, one of which is the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method to measure tool performance and fishbone diagrams to identify obstacles during production. The results showed that the actual productivity was 601,527 tons/month. Fishbone diagram analysis shows that there are inhibiting factors that cause high loss time, including method, equipment, environment, and human factors. After improving the standby delay time value of the Hitachi EX 2500 (EH 06) Excavator and Caterpillar 6030 (EC 03) excavator, the total loss time was reduced to 28.8 hours/month and 29.2 hours/month, respectively. increased tool uptime. Thus, the OEE value increased to 40% and 43%. Thus, overall limestone production increased by 1,317,693 tons/month, which means the target has been reached. The increase in the OEE value is still low when compared to world class standard OEE values, at 85% and still needed improvement.

Abstract

PT. Anugerah Covindo Indonesia is a coal mining service company as a contractor in the open pit area, one of its jobsites is GPU (Gorbi Putra Utama) Pit South Beringin II Village, Rawas Hilir District, North Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province. Based on the problems in the field, it is known that there are not ideal road geometries such as straight road widths and bends which are still lacking in grade which exceeds 12%. With the condition of the road geometry that is not ideal, it will affect the total resistance of the vehicle so that it will affect the speed of the conveyance that crosses it which in turn will cause the productivity of the transportation equipment and the value of the fuel ratio of the transportation equipment to increase. This study aims to analyze how the ideal road geometry is on the road, analyze the actual total resistance value and after repairs and analyze the speed value and fuel ratio value of the conveyance both in actual conditions and after repairs have been made. The type of research used is applied research which aims to find solutions to certain problems with data in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. From the results of the calculations, the minimum width on straight roads is 12.5 m, on bends is 17.545 m, and the road grade must be reduced with a maximum grade value of 12%. The total resistance value has decreased so that the productivity of the transportation equipment has increased and the fuel ratio value of the SANY SKT 90S transportation equipment has decreased. The actual productivity of the transportation equipment was 117,260, BCM/month increased to 160,256.7 BCM/month, while the fuel ratio for the actual condition of the transportation equipment was 0.48 ltr/bcm, which decreased to 0.35 ltr/bcm.
