SPEKTRUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar (PLS) memuat artikel-artikel hasil penelitian dan atau kajian analitis-kritis di bidang pendidikan luar sekolah secara khusus pada pembangunan pendidikan orang dewasa, pendidikan masyarakat, pelatihan dan pengembangan sumber manusia, penyuluhan, dan pengembangan masyarakat. Spesifikasi kajian ditujukan untuk pengalaman, pengembangan, dan menjelaskan tentang sejarah, filosofi, prinsip-prinsip, kebijakan, desain, dan teknologi yang digunakan dan dikembangkan dalam layanan pendidikan di luar sistem persekolahan.

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the high participation of learners English in the course of English Tutorial Center Padang, visible high level of attendance, liveliness and discipline of learners. Researchers suspect that the cause of the high participation of learners is due to the process of reward and punishment by the instructor in the learning activities. This study aims to describe the process of reward and punishment by instructors in English learning activities. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were all students totaling 500 people. Sampling technique used is cluster sampling, samples taken at each level/study group as many as 50 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. While the data collection tool use a list of statements. Data analysis techniques use a percentage formula. The results show that rewards in of point, reward, and praise are categorized both given by the instructor, as well as punishments in prefentive and repressive forms categorized well given by the instructor. This is evidenced by the majority of students expressing "often" from each statement given.Keywords: Reward, Punishment, Participation]]>

<![CDATA[This research is backgrounded by developing process of Teletabis Hill Tourism objects located in Nagari Lubuak Layang, South Rao District, Pasaman Regency. This was allegedly due to community empowerment activities conducted by Pambangun Nagari Youth Community. The aims of the research is describe the community empowering process, strengthening potention, and autonomyc of community in Nagari Lubuak Layang, Pasaman Regency. The quantitative approach and descriptive design was used in this research. The population of this research is 40 people who lived around the tourism village. The sample was obtained using 33 random sampling techniques. The data collection techniques were questionnaires, and data analysis used percentage formula. The results of this research showed that: (1) community empowerment in enabling community activities was conducted very well; (2) community empowerment in strengthening activities was conducted very well; and (3) community empowerment in the autonomyc activities of the community is well done. This research suggest that: (1) the community could maintained and enhanced tourism development activities for giving more effective impact on community empowerment; and (2) the community could conserving the tourism objects for giving good influence on the progress of community.Keywords: Education, Empowerment, Autonomyc, Community]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the low education of children in Jorong Labuai Kecamatan Koto Balingka Kabupaten Pasaman Barat, this is thought to be one of the causes due to lack of concern for parents. This research aims to: (1) to describe the concerns of parents to children, (2) to describe the success of children's education, and (3) to see whether there is a relationship between parents' concern with the success of children's education. This research includes correlational quantitative research. The population in the research were children who dropped out of school and children who did not continue their education to the level SLTP, SLTA with the age of 13-18 years with a population of 57 people. Sampling technique stratified random sampling. The number of samples in this study is 30 people. Data collection techniques used questionnaires. Technique of data analysis by using formula of percentage and product moment. From the result of the research, it can be seen that: (1) the concern of the parents to the children low categorize, (2) the success of children's education in low category, and (3) there is a significant correlation between parental concern to the success of children's education in Jorong Labuai Kecamatan Koto Balingka, Kabupaten Pasaman Barat.Keywords: Concerns of Parents, Success of Children's Education]]>

<![CDATA[This research was motivated by low of participation student in follow pramuka activity in SMPN 12 Padang. This is caused because the less of interest student about pramuka activty in SMPN 12 Padang, purpose of research the are: (1) to describe of interest student about pramuka activity, (2) to describe of participation studend in followed pramuka activity, (3) to describe of corelation between interest student about pramuka activity with participation student followed pramuka activity in SMPN 12 Padang. This type the research of corelation set of quantitative. Population are 45 student. The research sampel is 75 % of population that are 34 student, the used tekhnik is stratified random sampling. The tekhnik of gathering data in quesioner. Tekhnik analysis data use persentase and product moment. The results showed that: (1) interest student of activty paramuka in SMPN 12 Padang is less categorized, (2) participation student in followed avtivity pramuka is less categorized. <![CDATA[This research was motivated by the low performance of instructors in providing training material. Seen that the instructor delivered the material did not attract the attention of the participants, the method used was less attractive both from the participants' perceptions and participation. This study aims to reveal how participants' perceptions of learning resources, in following DIKLATSAR in KSR PMI UNP unit. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research with a population of participants who are registered as members of DIKLATSAR. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The results of the study stated that: (1) participants' perceptions of instructors were classified as low; (2) Participation of participants is poorly classified; (3) There is a significant relationship between participants' perceptions of the instructor and their participation.Keywords: Instructor, Perception, Participation]]>

<![CDATA[This research is based on the sewing activity at PKBM Anarvani which is taught directly by the instructor. By the existence of the work of the sewing clothes of the learners, it creates the cooperation between some fashion Muslim shops with PKBM Anarvani. So that, there must be the order of fashion Muslim to the PKBM Anarvani. The type of fashion muslim order which is famous in community and documented in PKBM Anarvani are the works that showed by the cooperation of PKBM Anarvani, then the marketing is done through social media like facebook, instagram, whatsapp, or even others social media. The type of research is quantitative research. The population of the research is the participants of the training for 20 people. The sampling technique in this research is purposive random sampling. The data collection is using questioner and its data analysis formulated by the percentage. The result of the research shows: the planning of the sewing work’s marketing is in good category, the determination of label’s product and price are in good category, the promotion activity which is done in the sewing work’s marketing is in good category, the distribution in the sewing work’s marketing is in good category.Keywords: Marketing, Sewing Clothing, Learning Citizens, PKBM]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the achievements reached on the scout activities by the students of SMA Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. Perhaps, one of the factors is caused by social interaction done by the students. This study is aimed to describe the students social interaction viewed from Students’ cooperation in Boy Scouts, Students’ competition in Boy Scouts, and Students’ accommodation in Boy Scout at Scout Extracurricular Activities at SMA Negeri 2 Padang panjang. This research is quantitative descriptive design. The population of this study is the students who follow the scout numbered 40 students. Sample is 50%, that is about 20 students. This study uses stratified random sampling. Technique data collection of this research is questionnaires, with a sheet of questionnaire data collection (questionnaire). Technique of data anlysis is the formula percentage. The result of this research found that (1) students’ cooperation in Boy Scouts in SMA Negeri 2 Padang Panjang is categorized is good, (2) students’ competition in Boy Scouts at SMA Negeri 2 Padang Panjang is categorized is good, and (3) students’ accommodation in scout is categorized is good.Keywords: Social Interaction, Scout Extracurricular]]>

<![CDATA[Background of this research is character of teens in Usak Alahan Panjang Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti Kabupaten Solok stil low. This is suspected because parents attention is stil low. The type of this reseach is to description 1) the attention of parents to adolescents, (2) the character of teenagers, and (3) to see whether there is a relationship between parents' attention and youth character in Jorong Usak. Population in this research is 40 people. The technique use for taken sampling is Stratified random sampling as much as 80% of adolescents. Samples in this research was 32 parents. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, while data collection tools used questionnaires. Technique of data analysis by using formula of percentage and product moment. The result of the research is the attention given by the parents to the children in Jorong Usak Alahan Panjang Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti Solok Regency in the low category, adolescent character in the category is very low, and there is a significant correlation between the attention of the parents to the youth character in Jorong Usak Alahan Panjang Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti Solok District. <![CDATA[This research was motivated by the low participation of participants in posyandu activities, the authors suspect this was due to a lack of cadre performance in carrying out and running all the hybrid five posyandu. The objectives of this study were (1) to describe the performance of cadres in posyandu activities (2) to describe the participation of participants in posyandu activities (3) to see the relationship between cadre performance in posyandu activities and participation of participants. This research includes correlational research. The population of this study is mothers have children who are included in the age group of toddlers in the posyandu, amounting to 35 people. Data collection techniques used in this study are questionnaires, while the data collection tool used is a quensioner. The research variable is the performance of cadres (variavel X) and participant participation (variable Y), then the data is processed using a percentage formula to see the picture and product moment formula to see the relationship between the two variables. The results of the research show that (1) cadre performance in posyandu activities is poor (2) participant participation in health service posyandu activities is low (3) there is a relationship between cadre performance and participation in posyandu activities in the pukesmas Nagari Sungai Tunu Utara. <![CDATA[This research is motivated by the success of parents in the Taman Pendidikan Alquran (TPA) Jorong Bonjo, this is seen from the provision of learning facilities by parents at home. The purpose of this study is to describe the provision of learning facilities by parents at home in terms of study space, learning atmosphere, and learning aids. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study is the child's parents. The sampling technique in this research is cluster random sampling from entire population. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, while the data collection tool questionnaire. Technique of data analysis by using formula of percentage.
