Abstract

This study aims to bridge the gap in the literature by examining the dimensions of Growth Orientation, Opportunity Orientation, Total customer focus dimensions, Value creation Networking, Informal Market Analysis, Closness to The Market on large and small company scale related to Entrepreneurial Marketing (EM) behavior. Thus the objectives to be developed in this study are: analyze how EM behavior in small companies compared to large companies? The dimensions of whether in entrepreneurial marketing are dominant in the context of small and large scale companies. The questionnaire was aimed at a national sample of 406 business owners in Indonesia, spread in 8 provinces. Small companies are defined as companies that employ at least 9 fewer full-time employees other than their owners, while large companies are companies that employ more than 9 full-time employees other than their owners. Snowball sampling is used to determine the selected respondent. The results showed that there are differences in entrepreneurial marketing behavior between large companies and small companies, where small scale companies have lower entrepreneurial marketing behavior compared to large scale companies. For small scale companies, it shows that opportunity orientation is the most dominant dimension, whereas in large scale companies it shows that growth orientation is the most dominant dimension.

Abstract

The government launched a 35,000 MW program based on the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia especially for outside Java region as part of development of country infrastructure. To be able to continue to grow and compete, PT PJB as a company engaged in the field of electric power producers must have good investment plan, one of the investments that can be made is through participation in electric power plant development projects. The purpose of this study is to find out the influential criteria in making decisions and provide recommendations to PT PJB in the formulation of alternative priority scales for power plant development projects selection strategy. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study approach. Samples from this study were key informants using purposive sampling and filling out questionnaires. The results of this study are the formation of 3 criteria which are the best priorities, namely generating new revenue with a weight of 0.177, market share with a weight of 0.134 and increasing opportunities in the future with a weight of 0.127. While the determination of the main alternative for the construction of the Power Plant Project is the Java 7 PLTU of 16.3%, the Java 8 PLTU of 12.9% and the Java 3 PLTGU of 10%.

Abstract

Sea transportation has an important role in economic growth in each country, including Indonesia. As a maritime country, sea transportation has a strategic role in improving people’s welfare through the distribution of goods and passengers between islands. Nominally, goods are the major contributors to the revenues of PT Pelindo III (Persero). Goods compared, the passenger’s segment only accounts for around 0.74% of total revenue. Nevertheless, PT Pelindo III (Persero) gives special remark to international passengers with the development of Benoa Port as a cruise turn around port. This is due to the high traffic of cruise ships or international passenger ships visiting the port over the past 5 years. Meanwhile, this cruise ship visit helped boost the velocity of money in the Bali region as well as creating a domino effect for the surrounding community. This research is a qualitative research and uses in-depth interviews with 6 informants. 4 people from the internal and 2 from customers’ side. The research uses Porter’s Five Forces in analyzing PT Pelindo III (Persero) as well as output in the form of an appropriate strategy proposal in the development of Benoa Port. The results of the study show that PT Pelindo III (Persero) needs to 1) Improve work culture, 2) Restructuring and regenerating human capital, 3) Cooperation and synergy of SOEs, 4) Improving service levels, 5) Optimizing facilities and 6) Setting reasonable tariffs.

Abstract

More than 2 million people/years died due to work accidents and occupational disease (ILO, 2010), while at Indonesia showed every 7 second work accident was occurs. BJTI Port is a port service provider company that carries out activities as a port terminal operator. Heavy equip- ment operator is one of the high-risk jobs, therefore this company must arrange work program that support the occupational health and safety management implementation at workplace through Safety Culture Implementation. Analyze Influence Occupational Health and Safety Program to Productiv- ity of Work to Heavy Equipment Worker at PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia Surabaya is the aim of this research. Total samples of 52 workers, taken by the total sampling method. Data related to respondent characteristics like productivity of worker and OHS Program obtained from direct observation to the field and interviews with all workers. The research results showed that as many as heavy equipment operators (55,7%) had high productivity. The statistical test using ordinal regression test indicate that there is an influence between the OHS Program with Productivity of Work to Heavy Equipment Operator at BJTI Port (0,000<0,05). Implementation of OHS Program at BJTI Port was good and need to be maintained, if possible, it can be improved by increasing the competency of OHS Supervisors and OHS management accordance with OHS regulations. In addi- tion its necessary to conduct surveillance of OHS devices, especially in areas that are rarely tra- versed by OHS supervisor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti Pengaruhorganizational cultureTerhadap employeeengagementdenganjob satisfactionSebagai variable interveningpada karyawan PT PelindoIII (Persero). Teknik analisis data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan partial least square. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 210 responden karyawan PT Pelindo III (Persero) yang berlokasi di Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organizational cultureberpengaruh terhadap employee engagement, job satisfactionberpengaruh terhadap employeeengagement, dan organizational cultureberpengaruh terhadap employee engagement dengan job satisfactionsebagai variabel antara (intervening variable),Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh langsungsertatidak signifikan antara organizational culture dan employee engagement, sehingga tampak jelas bahwajob satisfaction memediasi secara penuh ( fully mediation) pengaruh organizational culture terhadap employee engagement.Dari hasil penelitian di PT Pelindo III menunjukkan organizational culture,employee engagementdan Job Satisfactiontelah sesuai, namun ada beberapa faktor yang terus menerus ditingkatkan, termasuk mempertahankan faktor kesempatan pengembangan diri pada pekerjaan yang menempati kategori tertinggi dari faktor lainnya, mengingat mayoritas karyawan PT Pelindo III adalah generasi millennial sehingga harus dicari program-program yang sesuai dengan minat mereka.

Abstract

The existence of a port really determines progress in an area, this is related to its function in the supply chain management distribution or logistic distribution system as a link between sea and land transportation modes to meet the needs of the community and industry which will ultimately affect economic growth in an area. Meeting the needs of the community will be fulfilled optimally, efficiently and effectively if the port as a logistical support system for the distribution of goods and people can run smoothly and well integrated. The purpose of this study is to analyze the right strategy at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong in winning the competition seen from the analysis of the internal environment and the analysis of the external environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study approach. The sample of this research is key informants using purposive sampling and conducting interviews. The results of this study are that the Terminal PT Teluk Lamong is in a "hold and maintain" position. This is based on consideration of internal factors, external factors, and analysis of company position using the Internal-External Evaluation Matrix (IE Matrix). The result of internal factor evaluation (IFE) of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong is an average value of 2,339 IFE, which is in the average area. Whereas the results of the external factor evaluation (EFE) of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong are an average value of EFE of 2,554, which is in the middle region. From the results of the IFE and IFE matrix, the PT Terminal Teluk Lamong position in the internal external matrix analysis is in quadrant V, namely in area II where the company is in a hold and maintain position.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and find solutions to delay construction work happening on the SCE project. The SCE project is a school building construction project. The background of this study is due to indications of delay with a difference of 25% between the schedule plan and the reality in the ground. The factors that cause the delay must be well identified so that a larger delay can be avoided and can provide solutions to these problems. From the results of Fishbone analysis and AHP, 11 factors were found to influence the delay in SCE project.

Abstract

Brush (2014) states that to make the student having the spirit of entrepreneurship they have to develop start-ups in term of realizing a university venture and also to give benefit for the society, therefore, an ecosystem that is called Entrepreneurship Education Ecosystem is needed. UNUSA is one of the universities in Indonesia that has a strong vision to prepare a generation having spirit of Rahmatan Lil Alamin entrepreneurship based on Islamic values. The objective of this paper is to describe the readiness of UNUSA to be a university with Islamic values under the Nahdlatul Ulama organization to be the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem from the aspect of Brush’s theory (2014). From the result of this discussion it is find out that in spite of only six years old in age UNUSA has some breakthroughs to develop the entrepreneurship education ecosystem. However, it is urgent for Unusa to develop Business Incubator seeing that the number of UNUSA students are more and more from years to years. Such fact can not be separated from the mission of UNUSA to be the centre of entrepreneurs development and building in Indonesia. It can be concluded that UNUSA is ready to become the centre of Rahmatan Lil Alamin entrepreneur development and building and will support the government program of One Pesantren One Product (OPOP)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of transformational leadership on performance with innovative behaviour as a medium variable in achieving sustainable competitive advantages, the effect of transformational leadership on employees’ ability to innovate, the effect of employees’ innovation skills on their performance and the effect of transformational leadership on employees’ performance. The research approach uses quantitative technique. While data collection in this study is a survey method using Likert scale. The research data analysis will be using SEM analysis with SmartPLS version 3. The samples are 86 employees of membership section. Purposive sampling technique will be employed as samples fetching method. The results prove that there is a significant influence on transformational leadership style on employees’ performance with their innovation behaviour as an intermediate variable. Impact of transformational leadership style is found on employees’ innovation. There is an influence of employees’ innovation behaviour on their performance. Significant influence of transformational leadership style appears on employees’ performance

Abstract

This study aims to examine perceived organizational support within special education teacher in Surabaya. Special education needs a lot more attention because some inclusive system in public schools are not well developed which affecting the teachers’ well being. This study starts with a literature review building the knowledge basis for the topic. The primary data was gathered through several interviews with shadow teachers to look into the difficulty which resulted in lack of perceived organizational support among special education teachers. The perceived organizational support in teachers was examined through the three beneficialfactors for POS, namely: fairness, supervisor support, and organizational rewards and job conditions. Result shows that the organisation still need to improve the three beneficial factors for POS so that the teachers can feel more supported by the organisation.
