Abstract

 This research is motivated by the results of previous research on the factors that influence the peak performance of athletes after severe injury, where there are five factors, namely experiencing a serious injury, namely the self-confidence factor, serious factors in training, the coach's social support factor, time / place disorientation factor, and factors focus. Of the five factors, four factors originate from the athlete himself, while one factor comes from outside the athlete, namely the coach's social support factor. Therefore, the researcher is interested in examining how much the contribution of this coach's social support to the peak performance of athletes after severe injury. After analyzing the data, it was found that there was a positive correlation between Trainer Social Support and Peak Performance with R = 0.486 with a significance level (sig 2 tailed) of 0.000. This means that the greater the coach's social support, the better their peak performance will beFurthermore, the results of the R Square of these two variables show a number of 0.237 which means that the social support of the coach has a contribution of 23.7% to restore peak performance of athletes after major injuries, while 76.3% is influenced by other factors not examined.

Abstract

This study has examined the affect of leader-member exchange (LMX) and sense of power to employee voice behavior. Employees were required to fill up online questionnaires to measure leader-member exchange (LMX), sense of power and voice behavior. This study used a regression analysis to test the hypothesis in a sample of 232 employees. The results show that the leader-member exchange and sense of power effect employee behavior. The finding provides evidence that the higher the quality of the leader-member exchange (LMX) and a high sense of power in employees will affect the willingness of employees to give their information, ideas and inputs. Moreover, this study discusses practical implications for how employees want to speak up and suggests future research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat profil career anchor di tempat kerja, khususnya dalam organisasi birokrasi, serta implikasinya pada motivasi kerja aparatur sipil negara (ASN) yang bekerja di Direktorat Jenderal Otonomi Daerah Kementerian Dalam Negeri (Ditjen Otda Kemendagri). Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional untuk melihat pengaruh variabel x (career anchor) terhadap variabel y (motivasi kerja). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi skala career anchor inventory (CAI) yang dikembangkan oleh Igbaria dan Baroudi (1993) dalam Meiliani & Budiarto (2008) dan skala The Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale (MWMS) yang disusun oleh Gagné dkk. (2015). Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian sebanyak 104 orang. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi sederhana menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel career anchor berpengaruh terhadap variabel motivasi kerja sebesar b=.495 (Sig.=.000<.05, effect size 24.3%, = 0.243, Fhitung=32.662). Koefisien determinasi pengaruh career anchor terhadap motivasi kerja sebesar 0,243. Hal tersebut dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa variabel career anchor memiliki peran terhadap variabel work motivation sebesar 24,3%, sedangkan  sisanya sebesar 75,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor yang lain. Temuan lainnya menunjukkan bahwa profil career anchor yaitu pure challenge (thitung = 4.037) berpengaruh dominan terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai ASN di Ditjen Otda Kemendagri. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa motivasi kerja mayoritas pegawai dipengaruhi oleh tantangan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terjadi di lingkungan kerjanya dan didukung juga oleh adanya situasi kerja yang kompetitif.

Abstract

Urban violence is on the increase in Nigeria and a significant population of those involved are motor-park touts. Several factors which include drug misuse and antisocial personality disorder has been implicated in the escalating levels of the violent behaviour. However, empirical finding linking drug-use, anti-social behaviour and violent behaviours among touts is scarce. This study examined the role of local alcohol cocktail misuse, marijuana misuse, and antisocial personality trait as predictors of violent behaviour among motor park touts in Ibadan. The study is an ex-post facto design using a cross sectional survey method in which 524 respondents (mean age = 24.73±12.02) were drawn from 10 motor parks within the Ibadan metropolis using the cluster multi-stage sampling technique. A standardized self-report questionnaire was utilised. The results showed that violent behaviour correlated positively with alcohol cocktail (r = 0.098, Sig.= 0.011), marijuana (r = 0.097, Sig.= 0.011) misuse and antisocial personality trait (r = 0.273, Sig.= 0.00).  Alcohol cocktail misuse (β = 0.086; t = 2.022, Sig.= 0.00) and antisocial personality traits (β= 0.273; t = 6.331, Sig.= 0.00) predicted violent behaviour among touts. The implication of this study is that violence does not depend on personality alone but also on alcohol and marijuana misuse. It is advised that proper awareness should be raised to educate the touts and the society at large about the implications of drug misuse and more drug rehabilitation centers should be built by the government to rehabilitate those affected back into the society.

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan mikrosistem yang memerankan beragam fungsi bagi tumbuh-kembang anggotanya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkonstruk keberfungsian keluarga sebagai mikrosistem sosialiasasi politik, Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif grounded theory dengan paradigma indigenous psychology. Sebanyak 431 remaja dan 431 orangtua dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa model relasi dalam keluarga didominasi communal sharing, yang secara berturut-turut diikuti oleh authority ranking, equality matching, dan market pricing. Orangtua yaitu ayah (56,61%) dan ibu (24,83%) memegang peran sentral bagi sosialisasi politik dalam mikrosistem keluarga. Sosialisasi mencerminkan input, proses, dan output. Input berupa ketertarikan terhadap politik dipengaruhi persepsi awal, paparan media massa, dan topik yang sedang berkembang. Proses sosialisasi termanifestasi dalam aktivitas tanya-jawab, diskusi, dan pendapat. Output yang dihasilkan ialah evaluasi kolektif terhadap ekologi politik Indonesia dan evaluasi terhadap sosialisasi politik di dalam keluarga secara keseluruhan. Penelitian berimplikasi pada kebijakan publik guna mendorong peran mirkosistem keluarga sebagai agen sosialisasi politik di Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: The role of job satisfaction and affective commitment in shaping Organizational Citizenship Behavior at AKI University on Permanent Lecturers. This study aims to prove the effect of job satisfaction and affective commitment on the formation of organizational citizenship behavior on lecturers at AKI University Semarang. The characteristics of the sample used are permanent lecturers who have been registered in the Higher Education Database. The number of samples used is 51 people with the sampling technique is purposive random sampling. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect between job satisfaction and affective commitment to organizational citizenship behavior with a value of R = 0.848; R2 = 0.718; F = 61,249 (p < 5%). Based on the results of this study, it was also found that the effect of job satisfaction gave a more dominant contribution (67.73%) to organizational citizenship behavior than affective commitment (4.02%). Permanent lecturers at AKI University have a fairly good OCB level of 78.43%. This can be interpreted that OCB is an important variable to have, especially for all lecturers by increasing their job satisfaction so that they can optimally develop their respective potentials and also achieve the university's vision and mission.Keywords: Organizational Citizenship Behavior, Job Satisfaction, Affective Commitment Abstrak: Peranan kepuasan kerja dan komitmen afektif dalam membentuk Organizational Citizenship Behavior pada Dosen Tetap Universitas AKI.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh kepuasan kerja dan komitmen afektif terhadap terbentuknya organizational citizenship behavior pada dosen di Universitas AKI Semarang. Adapun karakteristik sampel yang digunakan adalah dosen tetap yang telah terdaftar di Pangkalan Data Pendidikan Tinggi. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan 51 orang dengan teknik samplingnya adalah purposive random sampling . Analisis data yang digunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kepuasan kerja dan komitmen afektif terhadap organizational citizenship behavior dengan nilai R = 0,848; R2 = 0,718; F = 61,249 ( p < 5%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini juga ditemukan bahwa pengaruh kepuasan kerja memberikan sumbangsih yang lebih dominan (67,73 %) terhadap organizational citizenship behavior dibandingkan komitmen afektif (4,02 %). Dosen tetap di Universitas AKI memiliki tingkat OCB yang tergolong cukup baik (78,43 %). Ini dapat diartikan bahwa OCB merupakan variabel penting untuk dimiliki khususnya bagi seluruh dosen dengan  melalui peningkatan kepuasan kerjanya agar mereka dapat mengembangkan secara optimal potensi diri masing – masing serta tercapainya pula visi misi universitas.Kata kunci : Organizational Citizenship Behavior, Kepuasan Kerja, Komitmen Afektif

Abstract

Problems have brought many adolescents in the prison. Their cohorts pass the day with freedom, while adolescents prisoners must spend months or years without freedom and other developmental tasks at their ages. This may cause many mental health issues on them. This study explored the effects of physical activity using group-based Games on sleep quality of adolescent prisoners. Participants of this study were 24 male adolescent prisoners (age between 14-18 years old). These participants showed many behavioral and emotional problems before entering and during their time in prison, such as: family problem, drug abuse, problems with peers and officers. Participants had three sessions of game activities in one week. This experimental study measured sleep quality with adapted Sleep Quality Scale (Shahid, Wilkinson, Marcu & Shapiro (eds), 2012) which comprises 25-items (Cronbach α = .916) after statistical adaptation processes. It was conducted using pretest-posttest design. This study suggested that group-based games can increase sleep quality, paired samples t-test value  (t = -5.527; p < .001). Posttest data (M = 37.50; SD = 7. 84) higher than pretest data (M = 28.83; SD = 7.76). It can be inferred that many other conditions affecting can be intervened through these physical activities. This study was conducted to small number of participants and  shorter time. More participants and longer time for intervention need to for better results for generalization.
