Abstract

Since the phenomenon of Korean pop popularity by teenage fan groups increased, it caused the enthusiasm of cultural texts reading groups. Reading cultural texts made teenagers recognize the Korean language. This design aimed to introduce Hangul letters to the adolescents and students as the readers of cultural texts which was caused by the Korean pop popularity phenomenon. The methodology used in this design was the glass box method. It was a method of rational thinking objectively and systematically in analyzing something logically. It has limitations from irrational (irrational) thoughts and considerations. Furthermore, the data analysis method used was the 5W + 1H technique which was what, where, who, why, when, and how in order to make it easier to facilitate finding a solution to the problems faced. This Hangul introduction picture-book was entitled "Hello Annyeong". This book was designed with Hangul letter theory, visual communication design, illustration, layout, typography, and color. This book was the main media and this design has the supporting media such as posters, x banners, alphabet cards, stickers, masks, Instagram feeds, and t-shirts.Keywords: ilustration-book, alphabet, student

Abstract

The purpose of this design is to provide encouragement to teens in overcoming the dangers of playing excessive online games. The design method used is the glass box method which is a rational and logical design, and through several stages that are considered by the designer.Designing interesting and well-conveyed motion graphics, the designer conducts research and data collection by observing, interviewing and studying literature. With this problem the solution to overcome the dangers of online games in adolescents is to socialize audio visual form of motion graphics about the dangers of playing online games for adolescents in the city of Padang. This design is supported by several supporting media such as: Poster, T-shirt, Totebag, Key Chain, Sticker, Notebook, CD Cover and CD Label.Kata Kunci : Motion Graphic, Game Online, ILM, a Teenager, Padang City.

Abstract

The aim of the designing documentary video is to promote Studio Tenun Pinan Kabu in providing information visually about revitalization of Minangkabau's old songket along with the procedure of manufacturing which become the main focus of this project.The design method used is the 4-D method: Define (Definition), Design (design), Develop (Development), Disseminate (deployment); (Nasrul Kamal: 2016).The analysis method uses 5W+1H to obtain required data according to design needs. The documentary video of Studio Tenun Pinan Kabu produce through creative program: pre-production, production, and post-production phase.The result of Tenun Pinan Kabu documentary video as the main media can increase economic value of Studio Tenun Pinan Kabu, raising the numbers of enthusiasts, and it can be educational video about revitalization of Minangkabau's old songket. The supporting tools of the main media are in form of posters and X banners which indirectly become the extended information of Tenun Pinan Kabu Studio through the audience which use one of the supporting media in form of masks, tote bags, stickers, clothes, and MUG.Keywords: documentary video, revitalization, economic value

Abstract

Writing this final project aims to design a business Buk Epi Sofinar which is located at Keluran Padang Tinggi Piliang, Payakumbuh City. Buk Epi has a business called Batiah Ranah Minang. Consumers do not know and understand the superiority of the product and the current identity of Batiah Ranah Minang is not optimal, making Buk Epi's business less noticed by consumers. Purpose of packaging design as a print media that functions product identity in an informative and communicative manner for consumer satisfaction and to increase product safety.The Glass Box method is used in designing, collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation from the owner. The method of SWOT data analysis as a problem solving by raising the advantages of getting the right layout, typography, and colors for Batiah Ranah Minang.The design of Batiah Ranah Minang business packaging design in Payakumbuh, can attract the attention of buyers and increase the existence of food businesses in the city of Payakumbuh. The addition of media such as X-banners, business cards, t-shirts, aprons, stickers, paper bags and mugs aims to support the main packaging media.Keywords: Packaging , Batiah Ranah Minang , Design

Abstract

Gudang Creative Design is a service business engaged in graphic design and photography that is currently developing in Sungai Pua District, Agam Regency. Gudang Creative Design was formed in 2017 and is managed by Yoli Ade Saputra as the owner and founder of Gudang Creative Desain until now. This business is still relatively new and requires a visual identity that includes logos, colors, and fonts, as well as rules in their application, in accordance with the guidelines set by the designer in the manual books as the main medium, in order to form a consistent identity, improve the business image, as well as differentiate it with other competitors. The purpose of this research is to design visual identity and other promotional media. The theories used in this research are brand theory, promotion theory, awareness theory and logo theory.The design method that I use is the 4D method which is used to support the creation of the design concept of visual identity.The expected results are in the form of main media, namely manual books, then supporting media such as business cards, stamp id cards, letterheads, envelopes, posters, x-banner, stamps, customer desks, car branding and articles to be published in the DKV journal FBS UNP Padang.Keyword : Branding , Promosi, Awareness dan Logo

Abstract

Custom motorcycle was born to adapt to a builder and owner's will on character, shape, idea, and imagination. The custom culture is a primary part of a custom motorcycle. Printed media such as magazine plays an active role in developing custom culture in Padang. Magazine becomes a source of information capturing history on years and objects which are used as content. This magazine contains specifications and descriptions from some custom motorcycle's owners. With macro and micro photography techniques, the information is expected to be easily understood. The purpose of this design is to provide information regarding custom motorcycles with people interested in the custom motorcycle scheme as the target audience. The method of this design is Four-D method: define, design, development, disseminate. The method of analysis is 5W+1H (what, where, who, when, why, and how). The main medium in this design is magazine, simply arranged so it is easy to understand, and supported by media such as t-shirt, headband, tote bag, keychain, sketchbook, sticker, and Instagram feed so the information of this design is right on target.Keywords: Custom Motorcyle, Magazine.

Abstract

Payakumbuh has historical events. Among the historical events that occurred in the city of  Payakumbuh called the Ratapan Ibu bridge. The bridge is one proof of the history of struggle in West Sumatra, especially in Payakumbuh City. Lack of public appreciation for historical stories and evidence of historical heritage of the Ratapan Ibu bridge. This causes the later generations to know less about the story and care less about its historical evidence. It is necessary to re-communicate these historical events to the public, through motion graphics. The advantage ofmotion graphicscombination is aof illustration, typography, photography, video and audio using animation techniques.The design method used is the 4D (design methodfour-D)using 4 design stages, namely define, design, development, and disseminate. Sources of data used in this design are in the form of statements about the tools, properties, conditions and specific activities concerned.The design results in the form of motion graphics that have stories, pictures, and audio, can make today's young generation learn local history, so that its sustainability can be maintained. The motion graphic of thehistory of the Ratapan Ibu bridge is supported by supporting media in the form of mugs, billboards, tote bags, Youtube, Instagram, twitter and facebook, which are able to promote the Motion Graphic of the History of the Ratapan Ibu Bridge.Keywords: Motion Graphic, History, Mother's Lamentation Bridge,Payakumbuh

Abstract

The design of this film is based on the fact that in the city of Pariaman there are still many  juvenile delinquencies that occur. Kota Pariaman does not yet have the means of information on what businesses have been done by some figures to overcome juvenile delinquency. The Darak Badarak art community, a music community located in the city of Pariaman, has members aged between 12-17 years. The Darak Badarak art community has recruited members from school dropouts and children who have an interest in playing music. The Darak Badarak art community is a little  gradually have succeeded in achieving achievements and improving the character of children who have been given learning during activities in the community, both in playing music training activities and other activities. This design aims to design audio-visual media in the form of short films, this film is designed to convey to society is an efficient way to tackle juvenile delinquency. This short film is designed based on the history of the establishment and the process that the Darak Badarak art community has gone through with dramatized reconstructions so that the public is interested and easily understands the information presented. Qualitative. This short film is designed using the Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate (4D) method, this method is used to facilitate the design in bringing out the creative and the production process. The expected design result is a short film with a historical background and the process that has been passed by the art community of DarakBadarak. , several items such as T-shirts, stickers, posters, trailers, Instagram accounts, cover flash cards and X banners to support the promotion of the Darak Badarak art community short film entitled "Anak Bawah Kolong".Keywords: film, docudrama, character, children and music

Abstract

Solok City is one of the cities in West Sumatra Province which is geographically quite unique, that is, this city has various tourist sites. This diversity gives rise to natural exoticism so that it can be used as a tourist attraction. Therefore, as an introduction to tourism in the city of Solok, West Sumatra as well as to advance the tourism sector in the city of Solok, the authors put it in the form of designing a videography-based agro tourism promotion. The research method used qualitative methods with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and existing. The concept used in the design is "promotion". This means that the concept of Sawah Solok tourism has a beauty and uniqueness in every tourist location. The concept will be applied to each design which includes video and other supporting media. The result of making videos and promotional media for agro tourism is an effort to introduce tourism in Solok City to attract tourists to visit. Besides promoting agro tourism which can be enjoyed in various media. The design produces the main media, namely videos about the natural beauty of Sawah Solok and is also supported by several other supporting media, namely: posters, t-shirts, banners, stickers, mugs, and totte bags as supporting main media and as promotional media.Keywords: Video, Promotion, Agro-tourism, Sawah Solok

Abstract

This design aims to help inform the products of Klinkink Apparel in an informative and communicative way. Materials for designing in the form of initial and final surveys were carried out such as interviews, documentation, and data collection to the owners of the Klinkink Apparel who were in the Painan area. The design in this catalog design uses a minimalist and modern concept and is combined with fashion photography, the result of this concept is a more attractive product photo. It is hoped that this catalog design can make good progress through promotion, on the one hand it also strengthens the selling power and popularity of competitors for clothing brands that exist today.Keywords: Klinkink apparel, catalog, promotion, design, product.
