Abstract

Rumah Kopi Nunos is a well-designed coffee shop located on kis mangunsakoro street number a- 13, Padang. It was opened to public since nov 11th 2011. There were many promotions done topopularize this coffee shop but it seemed unsuccessful because the promotions were just by mouth to mouth promo and by social media promo such as facebook and twitter. From this background, it can be seen that Rumah Kopi Nunos needs a new way in promoting their coffee shop; that ispromoting it by using website. Website is a media of internet which can be built by company, organization or individuals and can be visited onlineby many internet users. Abstract

Basapa is a year tradition in visiting a sacred place likely Syekh Burhanuddin in Ulakan, Padang Pariaman which is celebrated on Syafar 10th. Syekh Burhanuddin was known as disseminator of Tarekat Syattariah and Islam in Minangkabau. Syekh Burhanuddin passed away on Syafar 10th, 1111 H/1691 M. Demise of late Syekh Burhanuddin was on Syafar, so the ritual is known as basapa.The lack of inhabitants knowledge and promotion media about basapa is the main factor of the writer for creating the documentary film in order to promote pilgrimage tourism basapa. The pilgrimage tourism basapa which is promoted in documentary film is for making easy to the people to know more about basapa tradition and conversing the value. Besides documentary film, this promotion is also supported the others media, such as clothes, calendar, banner, stickers, clocks, pins, key rings, CD covers, CD labels, and mugs.The methodology is 5W+1H analysis, what, who, when, where, why, and how. By applying this theory, all of aspects have been covered about basapa and created in documentary film, so that it can be a medium that has effective and communicative factual information.Key words: documentary film, pilgrimage tourism, basapa.

Abstract

The company of Chokato chocolate in Kapalo Koto Urban Vilage. The packaging of Chokato’s chocolate is one of the chocolate producer in Payakumbuh, which is located in Kapalo Koto Urban Village, Aur Kuning, South Payakumbuh, Payakumbuh City. Established in 2006 and led by Mr. Joni Saputra.Design method is design of Chokato’s chocolate in Kapalo Koto constituted by chocolate packaging products Chokato in Kapalo Koto Urban Village which has a distintctive scent and flavor, and design brands that will be applied to the packaging. The data analysis method which is used is the SWOT analysis, because in this case the writer designning packaging that is based on the strength of products from chocolate company Chokato in the Urban village of Kapalo Koto and also with the consideration of weakness, opportunities and threats that a comparison between the packaging of chocolate Chokato Urban Village Kapalo Koto with competitors.The design of the brand and packaging concept taken from chocolate products Chokato Kapalo Koto Urban Village which has a distinctive scent and flavor and the brand is based on the concept of incorporation of the letters shaped cocoa fruit.The media support used in the design of Chokato’s chocolate in the Kapalo Koto Urban Village including cards, paper bag, stamp, sticker, clothes, g;asses, key chains and poster.Key Word : Design, Chocolate, Brand, Package

Abstract

Silungkang songket making of documentary aims to introduce to the public, how the creation of songket are still very traditional Silungkang. Workmanship is not an easy thing, So that the people know why the price of songket is expensive, because in its manufacture requires precision and patience. In making this documentary analysis method used is a SWOT analysis as documentary produced will present on all the power (strenght), opportunities (opportunity), and cover all the flaws (weakness) and threats (treatmant) Silungkang songket good that comes from within or from outside to describe a product. Abstract

Butterfly captivity garden in districts Harau is one of butterflygardens in West Sumatra. This captivity was founded and has been managed by Bujang Ranuli since 1997. The climate of Harau valley, which is cool, makes it has well-grown and varies butterfly. The increase number of forest logging and butterfly preservation to be made for souvenirs by people around endanger the butterfly that lives in this area. This absolutely makes some kinds of butterfly threatened and has not been documented yet. Lack of knowledge about butterfly makes souvenir manufacturers non-selectively chose butterfly by itskind to be processed as souvenir. Meanwhile, government’s attention and involvement in managing educational tour of butterfly are deficient still.The aim of this final work is to produce a catalog design whichdocumenting the kinds of butterfly live in Harau valley, knowledge about butterfly, butterfly conservation, and information about butterfly captivity garden in Harau valley. Thus, the design methodology used by the writer is started from collecting data method, which is through an observation, interviewing, and documenting study. Then, it is continued by data analysis method by using SWOT and creative approach. In this design, the writer will display the layout, cover, typography, and interesting colors with minimalist and naturalist image so that it is comfortable to read.The result is a media design that documenting the kinds ofbutterfly live in Harau valley, knowledge about butterfly, butterflyconservation, and information about butterfly captivity garden inHarau valley simply to be understandable by the audiences so that the message is well delivered.Keywords: butterfly, catalog, harau valley

Abstract

AbsractThe purpose of this design is to optimize and improve the attention and independence of early childhood in identifying and studying the movement of the prayer through interactive media. The required data for this design are gotten from observations, interviews, references and literature study from books and the internet. The method of this design uses SWOT analysis. Strength of interactive media designed, weakness of the media guide prayer graphical, opportunity and threat are viewed from result of observation. The result of this design is packaged in a CD. Abstract

Packaging design purposes Karupuak Padeh Dio Bersaudara are: (1) With the design of the packaging is more familiar karupuak padeh. (2) With the new packaging can increase the interest of the consumer to buy the product. (3) To facilitate the distribution and can be used as a media campaign that is more interesting. The analysis used the SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) analysis because it can solve problems that arise in the design process. This design has been through the design process. This design results in the form of packaging cardboard box measuring 30 cm long, 20 cm wide and 10 cm high and face packs to lay out karupuak padeh, padeh karupuak writing, illustration karupuak padeh, rumah gadang, accompanied marawa as a symbol of Minangkabau colors (black, red, yellow). It is also designed media support in the form of T-shirts, aprons, hats, bags, plates, stickers, miniature freight cars.Kata kunci: Dio Bersaudara, kemasan, karupuak padeh.
