Abstract

This research is aimed to examine and find out empirical evidence of magnitude drift effect on 10 winner LQ45, 10 loser LQ45, 5 winner FTSE100 Malaysia and 5 loser FTSE100 Malaysia. One sample t-test and independent sample t-test are used to test the magnitude drift effect. The result show the positive magnitude drift effect on Monday-Wednesday at 10 Winner LQ45 and 5 winner FTSE100, Monday-Tuesday at 10 Loser LQ45, Monday-Thursday at 5 Loser FTSE100 and the negative magnitude drift effect occurs on  Thursday-Friday at 10 Winner LQ45 and 5 Loser FTSE100, Wednesday-Friday at 10 Loser LQ45 and Friday-Monday at 5 Winner FTSE100. Magnitude drift in Malaysia occurs more than magnitude drift  in Indonesia.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to find the influence of the factors of the career selection of the S1 student at accounting department at Batik Islamic University and the University of Sebelas Maret Surakarta.This research sample using purposive sampling. The samples are 100 respondents. The analytical method is multiple linear regression.The results of this research shown that partially only factor training of professionals who have a significant influence on career selection of students S1 accounting to be public accounting. Meanwhile the salary factor, professional recognition, work environment, social values, consideration of the labor market, and personality have no significant effect. Whereas, simultaneously concluded that the factors of salaries, professional training, professional recognition, work environment, social values, labor market considerations, and personality have a positive and significant influence on student career selection of S1 accounting to be public accounting. Keywords: Career, colleger, public accounting

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Social Media Brand Communication on Consumer Based Brand Equity of Indomie in Surabaya. Data from 150 respondent in Surabaya were analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM) via Amos version 22. Respondent were randomly drawn from Surabaya society who joined the Fan Page of Indomie on Facebook. Result of this study showed that firm-created and user-generated social media brand communication positively influences Brand Awareness/Association, but has no influences on brand loyalty, and perceived quality only affected by user-generated social media brand communication.

Abstract

Advertising has grown exponentially over the last 10 years. In general, advertising can be defined as the activity of a profession of producing information for promoting the sale of commercial products or services in so many ways, including the World Wide Web. For instance, advertising via the web has received much attention from people all over the world. Web advertising, in particular, has big implications to the global businesses because of wide accessibility strategies throughtout the world. Therefore, this study is carried out to identify the antecedents that influenced consumer’s attitudes towards Tourism in Malaysia web advertising that is widely available. Based on a review of the existing literature in a range of fields, this study proposes a conceptual model of the positive relationships between customer’s atitude with informativeness, entertainment, credibility, economic value, interactivity and materialism. The proposed conceptual model is developed based on the Elaboration Likehood (ELM). Tourism Malaysia strongly rides on its slogan ‘Malaysia Truly Asia” that signifies the ever-changing and growing needs for the future. Furthermore, Tourism Malaysia web advertising also can affect the consumer’s decision-making process and behavior. The researcher expects this research to make several theoretical, managerial and policy contributions. For instance, the tourism promotional board which wants to change the customer’s attitude needs to take into consideration the influence factors such as informativeness, entertainment, credibility, economic value, interactivity and materialism for the web adverstisement.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of capital structure, growth opportunity, and the systematic risk ofthe capital structure and the effect of capital structure on firm value. The dependent variable in this studyis the value of the company on the capital structure, while independent variables used is the capitalstructure, growth opportunity, and the systematic risk.Research using secondary data source dataoriginating from the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) and yahoo finance. Sampling using purposivesampling method. So from 55 companies property, real estate, and construction of 37 companies in thesample taken in the period 2010-2014 with a total of 185 observations. The data used in this study is adata panel. Data analysis using Eviews 6.0 program. Data analysis technique used is panel dataregression analysis with fixed effect models method (FEM).The results showed that during the studyperiod from 2010 to 2014 in partial capital structure have significant and positive effect on the capitalstructure, while the growth opportunity and systematic risk and no significant effect on the capitalstructure. Capital structure have significant and positive effect on firm value.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is an important factor to businesses, because it causes customers to constantly return to use the service. Customer satisfaction is also related to the quality of service received by the customer of the companys’ products or services. The problem of OC’s call center service quality happened at the first time a customer contacts the call center where waste of customer’s waiting time is detected. Service quality improvement methods used in the analysis of the waste of customers’ waiting time is the DMAIC and lean approach. Results showed that improvement is seen at the sigma level. The tools used are SIPOC, pareto diagram, CTQ, two proportion test, DOE, p-chart, and minitab-16. Service blueprint analysis is used to analyze and discuss the relationship between service quality improvement using DMAIC in service process, points of contact with customers, and the evidence seen by the customer service

Abstract

The global financial crisis has a bad impact for domestic financial systems. Banking system is important component from financials system which has more attention. Evidence from Indonesia crisis in 1998 from Asian currency crises, subprime mortgage America in 2008,  the Volatility of US Economic in 2011, and slowdown china economic in 2015 that made systematic risk for financial systems and banking system in Indonesia. Crisis identification for individual bank is important to avoid systematic risk. Using Index for measuring banking crisis will give crisis signal before the crisis happen. Crisis and Default Index can predict and measure banking crisis more accurate than other measurement. The four components of banking risk crisis have been included. These components are liquidity risk, Credit risk, interest rate risk, and exchange rate risk. Furthermore, CD Index can describe duration of the crisis, periods of the crisis, and the component which can trigger a crisis. Samples of this research are all commercial banks that listed in Indonesian stock exchange period 2010-2014. The result is 18 banks which join Indonesian stock exchange have indicated crisis in 2011 and 2014. In 2010 BTN was identified Crisis, it caused the score of credit risk and investment risk is riskier than the others. Danamon bank has a bad score from credit component, it can trigger crisis in 2011. Then in 2012 and 2013 Sinarmas bank and J trust bank have been declared crisis. J trust bank was still in crisis in 2014, because it had a bad score for the all components.

Abstract

This paper examine about the effect of four sub-dimensions of corporate entrepreneurship (CE) on firms’ financial performance in Indonesia. The four sub-dimensions are innovativeness, risk-taking, pro-activeness, and competitive aggressiveness. This study will use primary data by the way spread some questioner in the company. To test the financial performance effects of CE, the scale for the dimensions of CE and financial performance have been adopted from the existing literature. A series of reliability and validity tests are conducted for the measurement of the scales. Validity and reliability test and multiple regression analysis have been conducted to test the hypotheses. The results of this research will provide guidelines to help investors, managers, and also academicians to comprehend the importance of CE well on the way to create financially successful firm performance and sustain it in markets.

Abstract

This Research aim to know Black Swan Anomalies happen in BEI to stock indexes LQ45 make overreaction and make price reversal and winner-loser anomalies. to test abnormal return use One Sample T-test and to know overreaction so make price reversal and winner-loser anomalies use Paired Sample T-Test. Based on result and discussion concluded that Black Swan Anomalies come on in BEI for stock indexes and effect Black Swan Anomalies are bleed and blowup make happen overreaction so make price reversal and winner-loser anomalies happen in BEI for stock indexes LQ45.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the factors that drives consumer to changes their reading behaviour from printed books to e-book using the switching behaviour theory. There are 5 variables that were used in this research, and those variables are new product attributes, social influences, price, switching cost, and intention to switch. This research finds that compatibility, convenience and switching cost have a significant impact on intention to switch, as well as the moderating effect of low switching cost between the relation of compatibility and social influences with intention to switch.
