Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of indexing journal annotated technology. Collection of annotated journal articles index technology done by observation and direct observation to collect data directly from the original source journals in library technology STMIK Indonesia Padang. Based on data analysis concluded, first, collecting journals done directly. Secondly, all journals that have been successfully traced and then grouped to be selected, the number of journals in the field of technology from 2010 -2012 there were six pieces journal article in which there are 70 titles. Fourth, collected from indexing keywords, author name, and journal title. fifth, the next step to do is typing an annotated index. Keywords: annotated index; indexing; articles index

Abstract

The purpose of this study was: (1) describe the management of mobile libraries in the Library of the Office, Archives, and Documentation Pesisir Selatan District; and (2) describe  obstacles encountered in the management of mobile libraries in the library of the Office, Archives, and Documentation Pesisir Selatan District. This research includes descriptive research to obtain the necessary data in this study, the researchers conducted observations and interviews. The researchers conducted observations and interviews to four librarians. Based on the data analysis we can conclude library management process carried out by four stages as follows: (1) operational planning bookmobile not running as it should, (2) organizing the library, in the division of tasks for a mobile library pengoperasionalan not well structured; (3) mobilization activities only performed at the beginning of the mobile library operates, and (4) monitoring conducted library head on employee performance and operational implementation of the mobile library was limited to the submission of a written report to the head of the library esmployees. Abstract

This paperaims to describe the Shelter Home Management provided Solok City Public Library. Based on theresults of the survey and the analysis found that the Shelter Home Management Solok City Public Library began with the planning of activities organized by Solok City Public Library. The nextplanis organizedin a coordinated manner by the employee or staff assigned tomanage thes helter. Operational activitiesin thes helter directly supervised by the Public Library of Solok and must submita reporton the application to the head of the library budget. From the report managers helters will receive direction from the head of the library if necessary. Of these findings should be expected Solok City Public Library include eshelt ermanagers in creatingan action plan that will be implemented by the halfway house. In operations hould need additional staff fing shelters because of the density of the activities to becarried out by the halfway house. Keywords: library; information; shelter home

Abstract

This paper discusses electronic database of medical records of patients in Health Center Kapau, Tilatang Kamang Subdistrict, Agam Regency. This study aims to describe the design method of the database that is hoped can accelerate the performance of the Healt Center officer. Data were collected through observation and document reviews and then analyzed descriptively. Based on analysis of the data, it can conclude that in the database could be designed by using Microsoft Office Access 2007, a database application computer program for designing, creating and processing different types of data with a large capacity. This database consists of two tables, namely the identity of the patient table and patient visits table. In this database design typography and colors is used according to the needs of visible. Interesting, and easy to be read. Patient medical records database is especially useful for the health center since it can facilitate the work of officers in  searching for the location of patient’s medical record document. Moreover, the database can shorten working time of the officers because it can be retrieved quickly compared with the manual searching that relatively slow and takes a long time. Abstract

The purposes of this study were (1) describe the arrangement of the system of inactive records used in the Regional Employment Board of Padang Pariaman district, and (2) describe the constraints faced  when structuring inactive records in the Regional Employment Board of Padang Pariaman district. with the theory discussed, conclusions, and reporting. The results of this study were as follows: (1) the system records the arrangement inactive in District Employment Agency in Padang  Pariaman still jumbled arrangement and structuring procedure is less effective that its archives are still frequent difficulties in the retrieval process. Systems should be applied in accordance with the arrangement of archival science and  providing training for existing archivists; (2) the constraints faced by the frequent occurrence of accumulation of inactive records in the Regional Employment Board of Padang Pariaman District, and the lack of awareness about the importance of the archive. Meanwhile, the lack of attention from the technical implementation will make the situation more chaotic because the archive files are not managed in accordance  with procedures. Has not  been running properly so finding constraints in retrieval. Keywords: records; inactive records

Abstract

Problem in this paper is the problem of official correspondence to the staff of the Library Archives and Documentation Tanah Datar. The purpose of this paper to explain the first, official correspondence causes problems for the staff of the Library Archives and Documentation Tanah Datar and second, knowing the constraints and corresponding implementation efforts in the Office of Library Archives and DocumentationTanahDatar. Paper data collection techniques used are direct observation (observation) observations are used to determine the circumstances that occurred in the institution and interviews with the staff of the Library Archives and Documentation Tanah Datar used to determine employed work processes, as well as an interview with the head of the library section as well as some other staff to complete the data of scientific writing. Based on the analysis of factors can cause problems for employes correspondence Library Archives and Documentation Office of Tanah Datar is the importance of the correspondence to the individual as a means of communication, the organization as a means of employment and facilitate communication among employees and other agencies. Greatly impact the lack of training in an agency employee skills and discipline employees who make less than the employee's performance declined. The lack of wisdom of the leadership led to discipline difficult to apply to the employee. Constraints faced by the Office of Records and Documentation Tanah Datar in conducting correspondence are: first, the things that must be considered in the correspondence in the making of both the institution and outside the institution. Second,a common phenomenon in the world of correspondence. Third, knowledge is still lacking correspondence obtained by the employee due to lack of training and information. Fourth, the errors in correspondence practice is an employee who made a mistake letter to leaders and letters to other agencies. Abstract

This research explain to describe the process of making an annotated index of newspaper articles of culture as a means of information retrieval in the Library of PUGB Tanah Datar  period 2012.Process data collection with interviews and document research by collecting data directly from its original source, the newspaper articles in the Library of PUGB Tanah Datar. The process of making an annotated index of newspaper articles of culture begins with collecting newspapers, selecting and classifying newspapers, making description of the article, make annotations, specify keywords, create indexes newspaper articles, composing and typing articles index. Manufacturing index organized alphabetically newspaper title, author index, and is equipped with a keyword index and annotations. Abstract

This paper focuses on a review of the school library to support teaching and learning activities at SMKN 5 Padang. This study aimed to describe: (1) a review of the school library to support teaching and learning activities at SMKN 5 Padang, (2) the constraints that inhibit an overview of school libraries in supporting teaching and learning activities at SMKN 5 Padang. Data were collected through observation and interviews with the head librarian at SMKN 5 Padang. Object of study of this thesis paper is the role of the school library at SMK 5 Padang. The data were analyzed descriptively. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the role of school libraries in supporting teaching and learning activities at SMKN 5 Padang this is not optimal due to inadequate facilities, the number of library managers were not enough human resources to manage and develop the library as a learning resource for students and teachers less professional, a collection of reading materials in the school library less complete, as well as the students' interest in school libraries are very less. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how to process of management traveling library of Rumah Zakat Padang and describe any obstaoles the management of traveling library Rumah Zakat, Padang. This research method is descriptive. Data was collected through interviews with librarians of Rumah Zakat, Padang. after the data obtained through observation, then made ​​the key points that will include in this paper. Abstract

In this article, how to manufacture indexes newspaper articles annotated using Microsoft Access 2010 in the Office of Arsip, Perpustakaan, dan Dokumentasi Kota Padang. newspaper articles index creation is done against a newspaper that contained in the Office of Arsip, Perpustakaan, dan Dokumentasi Kota Padang. Data obtained from newspaper clippings from the Library at the Arsip, Perpustakaan, and Dokumentasi Kota Padang in January and February were 63 titles article. Data in the form of newspaper articles Kompas, Singgalang, Haluan, and Padang Ekpres. Details of the findings are the 21 titles of the Kompas, from Singgalang 17 titles, 13 titles from the Haluan, and 12 titles from Padang Ekspres. Process in the preparation of an annotated index of newspaper articles were collected four newspaper titles, selecting articles, create a description of the article, make annotations, specify keywords, create indexes newspaper articles, indexing newspaper articles, newspaper articles compiled an annotated index, typing. After doing indexing articles, article index can then be copied into the program Microsoft Access 2010.   Keywords: Ms. Acces; newspaper; article
