AbstractÂ The library at the Padang City Library and Archives Service is one of the libraries that provides services for users. Index is a tool to retrieve information quickly and accurately, with the index user can easily find information when needed without the need to read the entire contents of newspaper articles. In accordance with the needs of users related to information, we need more complex information tracking tools such as annotated indexes of newspaper articles. One means of tracing information by subject is the subject of Minangkabau culture. AbstractThe writing of this paper aims to discuss the stages of making a promotional video in the Â Library at SMPN 18 Padang. This study aims to describe the stages of making videos as a means of promoting the library SMPN 18 Padang. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. Data was collected through observation and interviews with the Head of the Library and Librarian SMPN 18 Padang. And with the help of reading material related to video and library promotion.Â Based on analyzing the data it can be concluded that the steps in making a library promotion video are as follows: First, pre-production is the initial stage before the video production consists of idea discovery, synopsis, treatment, storyboarding, shotting script, production planning and production preparation. Second, production to realize all the steps in the pre-production stage. Third, post-production is the final stage in video production before the video is ready to be presented.Keywords: observation, making a library promotion video, interviewÂ Â

AbstractTransfer of media to digital format is an alternative choice to preserve the information content of library materials, because this format can be stored on relatively large capacity and durable storage media. In making this Media Transfer guide the Nitro Pro 8 application is used. The reason is that it is easier in the process of transferring information from word to pdf, as well as the availability of various menu options used to support the transfer process. Nitro Pro 8 itself is a software that we can use to read, create, edit and share PDF files. Nitro Pro allows us to process the batch file to convert documents to pdf. AbstractThe writing of this paper aims to explain the making of information literacy comics to increase student literacy in the Public Library of Padang 1 High School. The method used in this paper is descriptive method, the data is taken through field observations and interviews with librarians and librarians, based on facts that occur in the field of Public Library 1 Padang.Â Based on these results it can be concluded that the making of information literacy comics can be concluded the following steps. AbstractBased on the results of research that has been done, the literacy activities at SMAN1 Padang are in accordance with the activities in the Master Design Movement of the School Literacy Movement, then it can be concluded as follows. First the design of information literacy activities at SMAN 1 Padang, namely: (1) reading activity 15 minutes before learning, i.e. making a literacy journal for students; (2) reading award, namely literacy ambassador. (3) Literacy corner, holding a reading corner in the park. (4) reading books by utilizing the role of the library, holding user guidance. (5) procurement of libraries as a source of literacy, making literacy bulletin boards. Second, constraints in the utilization of information literacy at SMAN 1 Padang, namely: limited implementation time in reading activities 15 minutes before learning, lack of placement of reading corners and completeness of reading collections in the literacy corner, lack of implementing reading award activities. Third, efforts to overcome obstacles in information literacy activities at SMAN 1 Padang, namely: increasing the implementation time of reading activities 15 minutes before learning, increasing collection and placement of reading corners in the school environment, continuing reading reading activities and adding prizes to students.Keywords: design, literacy

AbstractIn this paper, a review of information literacy is discussed for class X Office Administration Department at Nusatama Padang Vocational School. This study aims to find out how information literacy in class X Office Administration Department at Nusatama Vocational School Padang. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, which is collecting data directly by distributing questionnaires to class X students of the Office Administration Department at Nusatama Vocational School Padang. Based on the analysis of the data it can be concluded that the information literacy skills of class X Office Administration Department at Nusatama Padang Vocational School are still not good, because in information literacy activities in class X Office Administration Department of Nusatama Padang Vocational School often misuse media use in seeking information carried out by students. Students use smartphones in search of information, but there are still many class X students who use smartphones as a medium for entertainment. Student knowledge about information literacy activities is still not good. Many students still do not understand the ethics and stages of finding good and true information. This results in frequent occurrence of students who are wrong in getting and using information. In addition, in the evaluation activities there are not many students who rank the level of usefulness of the information they need, students only search for information and get it without reading and understanding the information to be used in advance. So, from the results obtained it can be said that students of Class X Office Administration Department at Padang Nusatama Vocational School still lack understanding of actual information literacy skills and Class X students of Office Administration Department are still classified as students who fail information literacy.Keywords: information, literacy.

AbstractUse of the Mobile Library The City of Padang Library and Archive Office as aÂ Supporting Education Program in Introducing Information Literacy to Elementary School Students. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that general knowledge books are very helpful for elementary students in using for reading and as students increase their knowledge in improving information literacy, story books are able to increase students 'interest and can also increase students' insight into personal and social problems, and fiction books used by students as a means of entertainment reading outside the learning activities in the classroom, Secondly, the constraints in the use of mobile library based on the results of the research obtained were limited time, lack of human resources (HR), and lack of facilities and infrastructure, Third, efforts to overcome utilization constraints mobile libraries based on the results of research that the authors obtain can be concluded is by increasing service time in schools, adding service employees, and adding cars for service to schools.Keywords:Â utilization, mobile library, education, literacy,Â andÂ elementaryÂ students.

Abstract This paper discusses "Making Video Service Guide in Padang State University Library in the form of Motion Graphic". This paper is to introduce the services of the Padang State University Library to users. Describe the making of a video library service in Padang State University library in the form of motion graphics. The research method used in the discussion of this paper is descriptive. Descriptive method seeks to make a description, discuss systematically, factual and accurate about facts, facts, traits and relationships between phenomena investigated by observation and interview. In the first discussion chapter, the user needs to make a library service video at Padang State University in the form of motion graphics that are designed and implemented for users, specifically for students and Padang State University. In its use, users are expected to get information about services in the Padang State University Library. Second, start making video library services in Padang State University Library as follows: (1) concept or concept, (2) design or drawing, (3) material collection or material collection, (4) Assembly or collection, (5) testing or test, (6) distribution or distribution. Third, the trial results of the Padang State University library video products in the form of motion graphics conducted to the Head of the Padang State University Library gave a pretty good response to provide information to the users and also gave a response given by the librarian from the State University of Padang. AbstractIn this paper, we discuss the implementation of knowledge management in the Alifah Padang STIKes Library. The writing of this paper aims to describe: (1) the application of technology in the Alifah Padang STIKes Library; (2) cultural changes that occur in the Alifah Padang STIKes Library; (3) knowledge sharing activities in the Alifah Padang STIKes Library; (4) knowledge management socialization at Alifah Padang STIKes Library. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, which is collecting data by observing and interviewing 5 visitors and 1 librarian at the Alifah Padang STIKes Library. Based on the analysis of the data described earlier, it can be concluded the following matters. First, the application of information technology in the Alifah STIKes Library is applied to the field of information processing activities using the SIMPUS application and information retrieval fields by utilizing online catalogs. Second, the cultural changes that occurred in the STIKes Library were seen from the changes in the organizational structure of the Alifah STIKes Library, which was based on the level of human resources and expertise in managing the library.Â Second, the cultural changes that occurred in the STIKes Library were seen from the changes in the organizational structure of the Alifah STIKes Library, which was based on the level of human resources and expertise in managing the library. Third, the form of knowledge sharing activities in the Alifah STIKes Library was carried out by sharing knowledge between Alifah STIKes library officers on issues in library management, establishing cooperative relations with 9 university libraries in West Sumatra in the field of complementary library materials, and participating in training activities at Bina institutions. Fourth, Knowledge management socialization in the Alifah STIKes Library in terms of the socialization of the results of the meeting which was decided by the Chairperson of Alifah STIKes based on mutual agreement of the meeting members, by delivering the results of the meetings conducted hierarchically through superiors to subordinates in an oral and written form thoroughly.Keywords: knowledge management; implementation; library

Abstract The writing of this paper seeks to describe the use of information resources by users at the Padang City Library and Archives Service. Data collected using descriptive research methods with research objects of various sources of information in the library. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews with librarians and librarians in the Padang City Library and Archives Office library through literature studies in accordance with the problem under study.Â Based on the discussion of the data it can be concluded that the utilization of information sources by the library users in the Padan City Library and Archives Service is as follows:Â (1) Information sources that can be used by visitors in the Library of the Padang City Library and Archives Service, such as public collections numbered from 000 public works to 900 history and geography. Then there is also a source of information that is a collection of references consisting of dictionaries, encyclopedias, laws, altas, handbooks. And there is also a collection of reservoirs which are numbered from a collection of 000 public works to a collection of 900 history and geography.Â (2) the utilization of information resources in the library can be seen from the user's needs, user motives, user interests.Â (3) the opinion of the user towards the information sources in the library can be seen from the completeness of information sources in the library such as: information sources as opportunities for career achievement and achievement, updating information sources, completeness of information sources, as a means of decision making, information sources as entertainment. The information retrieval facility can be seen from the use of collections, the condition of book fiqs, the arrangement of books in the library, the search tools facility, the enhanced facilities.Keywords:Â utilization, information, usersÂ
