Abstract

This study discusses the use of persuasive speech forms in Sandiaga Uno's speech at a public lecture at the Islamic University of Riau. The purpose of this study is to reveal the use of persuasive speech forms in Sandiaga Uno's speech at a public lecture at the Islamic University of Riau. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. Descriptive means research that is carried out solely based on existing facts or phenomena that are empirically alive in the speaker. This qualitative research aims to produce descriptive data in the form of persuasive speech in Sandiaga Uno's speech at the Islamic University of Riau. The data analysis technique of this research is based on the interactive technique of Miles and Huberman. Through this model, analysis activities are carried out through four stages of activities, namely (a) data collection, (b) data reduction, (c) data presentation, and (d) drawing conclusions and final results. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the form persuasive speeches in Sandiaga Uno's speech at the Islamic University of Riau found twenty-five persuasive utterances in the form of assertive, seventeen directive utterances, ten expressive utterances, seven commissive utterances and two declarative utterances. Keywords: Form, persuasive speech, speech.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contents of the theory of Leeuwen on online news coming from 5 sources, namely JavaPos.com, Okezone News, Rakyatku.com, Wahanariau.com, and Sindo News. The data in this study are phrases, clauses, and sentences related to inclusion in Leeuwen's theory with the theme of rape on online news. The source of this research data obtained from online news as much as 5 news. The data were analyzed by (1) identifying data according to Leeuwen's inclusion theory, (2) classifying the data based on the theory to be referenced, (3) analyzing the data by recording the phrase, the sense or phrases associated with Leeuwen inclusion theory, (4) interpreting data that has been analyzed with Leeuwen's inclusion theory, and (5) describing the description data by writing the report. The results of this study suggest that there is Leeuwen's inclusion theory on five online news with the theme of rape in the online news with the theme of rape as a whole the author does not side with the actor or writer and is also not aligned to the victim. Of the 5 online news analyzed, there is three news titled “Rape Teacher and Kill the Health Waiter, OPM Can not Sympathize the World "," Sadis ...! Beautiful Women Raped 8 Men, Then Killed, and Heads Round by Car, "and" Bumps Men Former Girlfriends After a Disappeared Invasion "that marginalized the victims and rape the rape. The author does not mention in detail who the perpetrators and victims. The author only uses the word youth or women in the news. Then, two other news entitled "Bejat! Rape and Kill His Own Sister with Sadis "and" Sadis, This Woman Raped 4 Men Until Killed "did not marginalize the perpetrators and the victims of rape. Here the authors side with the victim, visible from the punishment given to the expert.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the use of sentences in students' explanatory text in terms of four things. First, the use of sentences in terms of structural clarity, there are 192 (39.43%) errors. The use of sentences that are clearly active or passive structures (46 errors), the subject is not in the form of an explanation (11 errors), the predicate is not lost (33 errors), the information is not in the form of a subject (93 errors), and the subject is not lost (9 errors). Second, the use of sentences in terms of logical meaning, there are 98 (20.12%) errors. The use of inappropriate sentences is seen from the logical relationship between S and P (63 errors) and the logical relationship between the meaning of details (35 errors). Third, the use of sentences in terms of saving words is 105 (21.56%). Inaccurate use of the sentence on one subject from the same subject (14 errors), one word from several words is synonymous (no errors), and using the words needed to express the author's intent (91 errors). Fourth, the use of sentences in terms of the standard of words, there were 92 (18.89%) errors. This research is a qualitative research with an explanatory text sample of 25 students of class XI SMA Negeri 3 Payakumbuh. Based on these results it can be concluded that the use of sentences in the explanatory text of class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Payakumbuh still has many errors.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structure, content, and linguistic elements ofprocedural texts for class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. This research is aqualitative research using descriptive method. The data of this study, namely thestructure, content and linguistic elements of procedure texts were obtained from 30procedural texts written by class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. Theresearch instrument is the researcher himself. Data analysis is done by describing thedata, analyzing the data, and discussing the data based on theory. Based on the resultsof the study, it was concluded that in terms of the structure of the procedural text,students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Padang tended to use two parts of thestructure, namely the steps and the closing. In terms of the content of the proceduraltext, the students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Padang were able to write down thecontents of the procedure text correctly. This is evident from all the procedure textsthat have been analyzed, most of the students have written procedure textssystematically and in detail, containing steps, and there are sequence numbers. Interms of linguistic elements, students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Padang have beenable to use the linguistic elements of procedural texts appropriately.

Abstract

This study discusses the Semiotic Analysis of Moral Values in the Novel Dia Adalah Kakakku by Tere Liye and its Use as a Learning Module for Interpretation of Novel Text Meanings in SMA/SMK/MA. The purpose of this study is to describe the moral values contained in Tere Liye novel Dia Adalah Kakakku and to describe the use of moral values in Tere Liye's novel Dia Adalah Kakakku as a learning module for interpreting the meaning of novel texts in SMK/MA/SMA.  This research is a qualitative research using a semiotic approach. The data collection technique used in this study is the listening and note-taking technique. The subject of this research is the novel Dia Adalah Kakakku by Tere Liye. The instrument used in this research is a data card. The validity of the data was obtained through triangulation of theories, methods, and data sources. The problem in this study is that at this time the morals of the nation's children tend to be not good. The results of the study reveal that in the novel Dia Adalah Kakakku by Tere Liye there are four types of moral values, namely the human relationship with God consisting of morals towards God and knowing God, the relationship between humans and themselves consists of fighting power and diligence, human relationships with other humans consist of  kinship, help, mutual cooperation, courtesy, keeping promises, and forgiving and human relations with nature consist of taking out trash and caring for plants.  With regard to learning literature in schools, the results of this analysis can be used as material or learning materials in SMA/SMK/MA and these moral values can be used as examples in schools.Key word: Moral values, Dia Adalah Kakakku novel, Literature learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were threefold, namely, first to describe the text structure of the fable written by grade VII students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang. Second, to describe the elements of the text of the fable written by the VII grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang. Third, to describe the use of EBI in the fable text created by grade VII students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang. The data in this study is an analysis of the structure, elements, and spelling of Indonesian in the text of the fable created by grade VII students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang. Based on the results of the research that has been analyzed, it can be concluded that three things are: First, in writing fable texts, seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang have used the four fable text structures, namely orientation, complications, resolution, and code. Second, in terms of elements, grade VII students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang have used the right elements. Third, in terms of spelling, grade VII students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang are generally unable to use EBI correctly. Many mistakes occur when writing capital letters, commas, and periods.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the following things. First, to describe the presentation of online learning at SMP N Kota Sawahlunto? Second, to describe the interaction of online learning at SMP N Kota Sawahlunto? Third, to describe the evaluation of online learning at SMP N Kota Sawahlunto?. This type of research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. Qualitative data in this study is complemented by quantitative data. Qualitative data will be obtained from observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Meanwhile, quantitative data will be obtained from the results of the questionnaire. The sources of data in this study were four Indonesian language teachers and 80 grade VIII students of Sawahlunto City State Junior High School. The instrument in this study was the researcher himself for qualitative data and for the quantitative data instrument was a questionnaire. Data is analyzed by describing, analyzing, and discussing data based on theory. The theory used is the theory of online learning in Indonesian language learning. The research results are as follows. First, the implementation of online learning of Indonesian language subjects at SMP N Sawahlunto City can be said to be good if viewed from the perspective of online learning, teachers of Indonesian subjects at SMP Negeri Sawahlunto City have shown their efforts related to aspects of online learning presentations, online learning interactions, and evaluation of learning online.
