The purpose of this study consists of three, namely: (1) describe the level of reading comprehension skills of expositional text of class students VIII SMP Negeri 2 Linggo Sari Baganti Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. (2) describe the skill level of expository writing of class students VIII SMP Negeri 2 Linggo Sari Baganti Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. (3) it describes the relationship between reading comprehension skills of exposition texts and the expository writing skill of class students VIII SMP Negeri 2 Linggo Sari Baganti Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Based on the results of data analysis concluded three things as follows. (1) the reading comprehension skills of the expositional text of the classroom studentsVIII SMP Negeri 2 Linggo Sari Baganti Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Are in Good qualification (B) with average count 78,03. (2) the skills of writing the expositions of classroom studentsVIII SMP Negeri 2 Linggo Sari Baganti Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Are in Good qualification (B) with average count79,12. This article was written to find out the correlation between comprehension and writing skill of description text for student at class VII SMPN 15 Padang. Data in this study was score of text comprehension skill. The type of this study was quantitative research with correlation design. Study population was students at class VII SMPN 15 Padang that enrolled in academic year of 2016/2017 with sample was amounted to 224 students that dispersed in seven classes. Sampling determination used proportional random sampling technique that obtained 42 students (20% from student population per class). Study fining showed that there was a significant correlation between comprehension and writing skill of description text for student at class VII SMPN 15 Padang with tcount > ttable (10.32 > 1.68). Therefore, to write description text students should be able to understand the description text it self. Kata kunci: korelasi, keterampilan memahami teks deskripsi, keterampilan menulis    teks deskripsiÂ

The purpose of this research is (1) to know the level of reading comprehension skills of the text of the observation report of the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Padang. (2) to know the level of skill of writing the text of observation result of student of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Padang. There are three purpose of this study. First, it aimed to know the level of skill in writing observation report (LHO) before using (PBL) helped by the use of audiovisual. Second, knowing the level of skill in writing LHO by using PBL helped by the use of audiovisual . Third, this study describing the effect of using PBL helped by audiovisual to skill of writing LHO. This sudy is a kuantitatif research with quasi-experiment methode. The purposes of this study were to (1) describe the effectiveness of the sentence in terms of the accuracy of reasoning categories (a) reasonableness and (b) unity of ideas and (2) to describe the effectiveness of the sentence in terms of language accuracy (a) grammatical accuracy, (b) word precision, and (c) accuracy of spelling in the exposition of students of class VIII 2 SMP Negeri 9 Padang. The method of this research is qualitative. The result of this research is from 167 sentences there are 3 effective sentences and 164 sentences is not effective. In terms of accuracy of reasoning there is no mistake in the student essay. In terms of language accuracy found 164 sentence errors. Thus, the students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang have not been able to use sentences effectively. Kata kunci: keefektifan kalimat, karangan eksposisi

In this study, theoretical concept of disovery learning are reviewed the influence model to the writing skills of argumentation of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman. The data of this study is the result of the skill of writing the argumentation without and by using the treatment. The data was collected by giving learning of argumentation by using discovery learning model in experiment class. The test used in this study is a test performance to students in the form of writing test of argumentation. Abstract writing skill writing skill and using treatment is compared to see the effect of discovery learning model by using t-test formula. The result of the research shows that (1) writing skill of argumentation of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman without using discovery learning model is in qualification Enough, (2) writing skill of argumentation using discovery learning model of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman is in Good qualification , (3) based on t-test, it can be concluded that there is significant influence to the discovery learning model in learning writing writing argumentation of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman. Kata kunci: Pengaruh, penggunaan model discovery learning, menulis karangan argumentasi

The purpose of this study is. First, describe the skill of reading appreciation of students of class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti Pesisir Selatan Regency. Second, describe the skill of writing short stories of students of class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti Pesisir Selatan Regency. Third, analyze the correlation between reading skill appreciative skill with short story writing skill of student of XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti Pesisir Selatan Regency. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive method. The design of this research is correlational design. Population in this research is student of class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti Regency of South Pesisir registered in academic year 2016-2017. The sample of this research is determined by using random sampling technique. The variables of this research are the reading appreciative skill of the short story as the independent variable and the skill of writing short story text as the dependent variable. The data of this research is the score of reading skill test for the students of class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti Pesisir Selatan Regency and the score of skill test result of the students' writing skill in class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti Pesisir Selatan Regency. Kata kunci: membaca, membaca apresiatif cerpen, menulis teks cerpen
